Rang up after being very disappointed with the quality of food. The staff explained that there was nothing they could do about it. No taste in any of the 3 dishes we ordered. They said we should have taken it back but how do you do that when you have had a drink? Will not be going again and we are sorry as we have always been happy with the food.

Little lantern EVEN SMALLER PORTIONS !!!..... someone thinks they are saving money by skimping on meat when really they losing customers !!!!!! ITS NO WONDER THIS PLACE IS DEAD!! .... IVE NEVER HAD CHICKEN FRIED RICE THAT COULD HAVE PASSED FOR A VEGETARIAN!!! .... I GOT THIS FOR 2 OF US 10 MINUTES AGO AND HAVE NOT EATEN IT YET BECAUSE I NEEDED TO DO THIS!! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS £13 BARELY ANY CHICKEN IN IT .... I WISH I HAD GOT EGG FRIEND RICE THEN NIPPED TO THE SHOP NEXT DOOR FOR THE CHICKEN!!! IM NOT HAVING THE CHICKEN THAT IS IN THERE COS THERE IS NOT EVEN ENOUGH FOR ONE PERSON ..... IVE SEPARATED THE CHICKEN FROM THE RICE SO PEOPLE CAN SEE WHAT TO EXPECT IF YOU DO GO ... ILL POST THE GENUINE PHOTOS!! P.s ....I DIDNT KNOW WETHER TO EAT THE SPRING ROLLS OR SMOKE THEM THEY WAS SO THIN THEY'D FIT IN A PACKET OF CIGARETTES!!! SHOCKING TAKEAWAY ... ZERO STARS I may order tofu next time in order to get some chicken ..... anyway after all that ...its in the bin cos of the excessive salt !!!

The food is always excellent, it is a little expensive and a limited choice so it not a regular treat.

I have never been disappointed with anything I have purchased from here. Fish &Chips cooked to perfection. Chinese foods also cooked to perfection.It does get busy at times & you can pre order. Cash only.

Visited here second time this year. First time on my birthday and then last night. Both times we have been dissatisfied and disappointed which is a shame as it’s our nearest Chinese takeaway. Food is tasteless and dry like it’s been reheated multiple times! Last night we ordered salt and pepper ribs - small and not much meat on them and very dry and tasteless. We also ordered a special fried rice and a chow mein - also dry, bland ans tasteless. Lastly we ordered salt and pepper chips which was ok. Descent potion sizes for a family however we feel it’s expensive. Definitely will not be returning for a third time!

My family and I enjoyed a lovely mixture of dishes from Little Lantern last night. The food was delicious, fresh and hot. The portions were more than ample. This was the first time that we had chosen this establishment. We will certainly buy from there again. Thank you to the staff.

Lovely meal but very small portions I was still hungry after eating. But would defo go back.

This chinese has gone down hill, what a shame. Ordered kingprawn which was sour. The chips used to be good and fried until crispy, these where inemic. I won't be ordering from there again. 😒

This use to be a little gem. Quality of food has gone downhill. Counter staff attitude and very defensive. Various order errors. Gave incorrect types of meat even though on the ticket they wrote was correct. Also changed for items that we did not receive. No apology, won’t be going back. Many other great places to eat nearby.

Best Chinese in Chorley.. salt and pepper chicken is a definite must have, and salt and pepper chip's 👍.. fast and friendly service always and I only live less than one minute walk away, so that's a bonus 👍😁

We have been here loads of time. Tonight's fish was horrible. The worst we have tasted. Go back to your usual recipe.

Vegetarians beware.... Ordered tofu and got pork! When I called to complain they insisted tofu Is pork. wow. Also my meal was full of cubed carrot and turnip. Not authentic. NEVER eating there again

The food from this take away is good. However, it is expensive for what you get and the portion size is small. I like spice food but was disappointed with the lack of chilli in the dish I ordered. One of the sauces we ordered was very runny, more like coloured water. Felt a little disappointed.

When you've had one of those days you get home & think "what can we have for tea" carn't be bothered to cook to tied erm Chippy what a good idea, good friendly staff, May always ask how my mum & dad are, it gives that personal touch. It's a hit and miss sometimes with the food somedays it's really good and you enjoy ever mouthful but other days the chips have no flavour or it's really greasy but it's good food for value and I would say it's one of the best chippys in Chorley

Chinese takeaway can often be a bit lacklustre. Not so here. I've always been impressed with what I've ordered baring in mind the price. This is our go to Chinese takeaway. Excellent! Friendly owners too.

This is our local takeaway and we couldn't ask for better! Great Chinese food and great fish and chips too ! Pleasant staff . Only drawback is they don't have a card machine

Not tried this takeaway before and went a bit out of my way due to the reviews. I ordered salt & pepper spare ribs and king prawn curry and fried rice. The bill came to £14.20. It smelt good on the way home. The ribs were good but hardly any chilli and garlic. The fried rice was ok but very dry and no egg. I picked the curry carton up and I could feel it slopping about. It was like water when I opened it and a bright orange colour. There was about 4 or 5 prawns in it and the taste was very mild and poor as if it was watered down. So overall it was pretty poor and quite disappointing

Recommend this place, excellent chips peas and curry at a very good price which I've enjoyed a few times. Only ordered Chinese food once from here and to be honest, was disappointed but I think that's because I was used to another takeaway. Staff are lovely and place is very clean and ordered.

The best Chinese take away in Chorley and also one of the best Chippy's! Polite staff, friendly efficient service and well cooked fresh food. We struggle to find anything as good locally when this is closed due to holidays!

We are a regular here. The food is always ready on time when we phone in. They are the only take away in Chorley where they get my daughters plain chow mein right, once we had to use another Chinese in Chorley and Never again. If this place is closed we don't have Chinese it's that simple. Great tasting food.

Called for a Friday night tea I phoned the order ahead and within 30 mins our takeaway was ready the food was hot and delicious, when I asked for addition sauce it was provided free of charge. Good menu with great choice of food all reasonably priced.

The shop has parking close, it's a busy takeaway, polite staff, reasonable in price, plenty of choice & variety. Food standard is slightly above average and portions are good sized

Excellent takeaway! The food is fresh, tasty & nicely spiced. The spring rolls are delicious & packed with lots of lovely fresh vegetables. The chicken with black bean & black pepper sauce is highly recommended - crunchy peppers and a rich, tasty sauce! Yummy! Portions are smaller than average but the quality of good is superb. Definitely one to try!

Pretty good food and good value for money.

My vegetarian partner loves this dish, I've tried lots of different dishes and they have all been great for a Chinese chippy, even the chips are good! Food carefully wrapped and packed, so glad this is near to us, it's a major draw for those days when you can't be bothered to cook yourself!

I am a regular now at the little lantern! I must say it is just brill! The food, the service and the portions! Would definitely recommend this to anybody looking for good food!

Not from the area I rarely use this Chinese however it is local to my partner and visit when I am in the area, past experiences have been okay however with measly portions and nothing to shout about. The actual shop is desolate and eerie with no radio or television around to add any atmosphere. The staff are generally quiet apart from taking orders. However on this occasion I ordered two meals one for myself and another for my boyfriend, he had chicken in orange sauce and I ordered mixed meat with cashew nuts. We were not spoken to or aknowlaged whilst waiting for our food and as I arrived home (literally a minute later) I realised it said chicken cashew nuts on the wrapper, I sent my boyfriend back to see if they would fix the mistake. He came back shortly after, telling me they refused to change it and that we were wrong. At this I decided I would go, as I had paid the amount for my order and had received a lesser option. As I arrived I explained the situation and was told that no, I was wrong and that they would not change it for me. As I explained I only wanted my order I was again told I was wrong and that they will not change it, at this point she had started to raise her voice at me and lean over the counter at me. A male member of staff who seemed polite on other occasions simply stood to one side and not resolving the situation. I was so insulted and unhappy with the service I left at this point as I couldn't believe how badly I was being treated as a customer who's order they had taken wrong. I will not be going to this Chinese again and would urge others not to unless the staff learn a lesson in good customer service.

ordered starter combination, was very nice. Had meat mixed curry with half rice and chips. We ate everything. Great Chinese. Will definitely be going back. Shame it's not got delivery service. Owners very friendly.

This is a rarity - a very good Chinese which also serves really good fish & chips. the crispy beef is great as is the crispy duck. Is that enough crispy? Staff are friendly and you get free prawn crackers!

We always get our Chinese food from here. Great veggie options for my partner, food is well wrapped and packed, free prawn crackers if you spend a few quid. This is the hidden gem I don't want you to know about, or I will have to queue longer next time!

Food is on the meagre side not very generous portions, tasted ok but nothing to rave about.The servers do not greet you which I found quite rude, appear miserable. not helpful and look dirty... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Love this place. They do tofu which is excellent for vegetarians as most Chineses don't. Also good chippy food. Salt and pepper chips are great. Order over phone and always friendly and food ready in 15 mins. Reasonably priced too. Can't fault it.

This is a great Chinese takeaway - oen of the only ones around in Chorley that has a decent amount of vegetarian options on the menu. There is plenty of Tofu dishes, and they are tasty too. The vegetable dishes are good too.
