The Lime Tree Inn in Blaby

This place was chosen as a central meeting place for a large group of friends. There was a good menu variety, that catered to the vegetarian and children in the group. For the main course, I went for the garden burger and treated myself to the rainbow chocolate pot for pudding. Both were delicious and plates were cleared!

Very cosy, really felt welcome in here. The staff were all lovely and helpful and the festive mode was really felt......was my 1st time in here and l will definitely come back again! I would highly recommend.....

Booked for Christmas dinner everybody had eaten there starters before they finally brought last starter out same with main course and same with dessert absolutely diabolical the roast potatoes where frozen and also the Brussels as when you bit into them you got a mouth full of water would not be booking for next year

Hosting my Christmas do here for the second year running and the staff are amazing and so accommodating can’t wait for next year!!!

Very nice Sunday dinner with the family. All decorated for Christmas 🎄. Sunday dinner was decent, good standard of food and choice of meat. Children's play area outside closed due to health and safety. Big down side this... its not fair you plan to take your children to a family pub and it's shut.

Upon our arrival we were greeted & seated by a very attentive young man. All the staff we encountered were excellent. The food is nicely arranged & is of a good quality.

Acknowledged and seated promptly on arrival, friendly waiting staff and the food was cooked perfect. Been to this restaurant a number of times.

We had a wonderful family meal at the Lime Tree. Most of us had the carvery roast which was delicious, especially the perfectly cooked beef. The staff fantastic and very friendly and helpful. I particularly liked that they understood that families with young children need their food all at the same time and promptly. Somehow this place manages to be busy but not seem busy and staff are extremely attentive but you also hardly notice they are there !? Well organised and great food and of course the play area is an added bonus.

A few of us came here for a get together the food was perfect and the service was great! A waitress call Izzy served us and nothing was too much trouble she was very friendly and would highly recommend visiting. Be back soon!

We were at the venue Saturday afternoon, but by the evening the bar filled up very quickly and became rather loud. I can't comment on the restaurant side as we stayed in the bar area. Nice big outdoor area, good real ale, nice food but it took a long time to be served. The food was very nice and all dietary needs catered for.

Got to local restaurant. I absolutely love The Lime Tree. Food is always amazing, and the service is brilliant. Could not fault the restaurant at all. They’re also considerate of any dietary restrictions/ allergies before being seated. Fantastic restaurant and fantastic staff.

Went for a great granddaughters birthday, Service was good, and all meals said to be very good sausage in mixed grill was remarked to be very tasty.I had fish and chips,which was excellent. Would recommend this restaurant.

Dinner with a long time friend and the steak was cooked perfectly!! Good portions for your money! Izzy was amazing more than i could’ve asked for, could the good vibes going! 100% will be back when i’m back in town!!

An exceptional experience from the moment we booked over the phone to the moment we drove away. Fast , efficient and professional service.Izzy was our waitress who was an absolute pleasure and nothing was too much trouble and going the extra mile to accommodate our dietary requirement's was something that came naturally to Izzy. This is very rare these days and made our experience all the more enjoyable and was communicated in an organized and professional way to the chef. Well done Izzy and Thankyou.

From start to finish we had the best time, the park next to us were very loud but we did know and decided it wasn’t Such a problem The meal was different and a very pleasant change. Always guaranteed a good meal at the Lime Tree! Plenty to choose off the menu and we love when they introduce the special menu over the weekends. Plenty of space inside and outside, our dogs love joining on a Sunday for the carvery.

The restaurant was way too hot. It was uncomfortable. The food was awful. Frozen, dry roast potatoes. The cauluflower cheese was just mush. Rest of vegetables were not cooked enough. Would not return.

Really terrible experience,Went out for a few drinks with friends they refused to serve shots at all due to “fights” then the bar got shut off at 10:30pm but a woman who “worked” for the lime tree who wasn’t wearing uniform and was clearly not working that night got served Once I asked why someone gets served and no one else does the woman wearing all black and clearly a manager said it’s okay. The woman who was staff got 2 pints of cider (After closing the bar) which was for her and her friend who also wasn’t working so this is clearly unfair and unacceptable in my opinion If you want to come here for a good time with friends I would not go at all go to a pub that actually serves drinks

Upon arrival was greeted and was given a choice of 3 tables, the waitress was attentive and very polite and lovely, the food was great and the pudding was delish, in fact too much I couldn’t eat it all. Would definitely recommend.

Great food..really tasty and portions are good. Service was spot on by Izzy and also at the bar afterwards. The staff who work at The Lime Tree are a well oiled machine,working together to create a good atomosphere inside and outside.

Large group of 10 inc 4 young children. Food was great quality and even the kids cleared their plates. Staff were all polite, friendly and attentive considering how busy it was for Sunday lunch.

Awful service, from wrong drinks to wrong meal. In their opinion a completely plain steak is plastered in peppercorns and dripping in a garlic sauce. When I pointed this out and asked them to change it they agreed but only if I paid for a new steak!! Will never set foot in this place again.

Been there a few times for lunch & always enjoy it. I marked down stars for the atmosphere because to be fair, it was a cold ,wet, miserable summer day & there wasn't many customers. Though it has a great garden & play area for kids & undercover patio for those that smoke, I would suggest they either empty ashtrays more or at least have a bin in the area so customers can do it themselves. Nothing more revolting than full ashtrays.

We came out for something to eat at The Lime Tree... normally the food is good here but on this occasion I was very disappointed. I ordered a Steak & Stilton Salad and my partner had your loaded fries. The loaded fries she couldn't fault but the steak you used in the salad was of very poor quality, full of gristle. The steak was cooked to how I wanted and well seasoned but like I said the quality let this down so it put me off eating the salad. Your staff didn't even ask if everything was OK as the amount of food that I left should have been an indication that I wasn't satisfied with it. Your puddings need a little TLC too its like you put all your efforts in the mains but the puddings are just chucked together with no care and after all your customers are paying a good amount of cash for these puddings. I hate having to put this bad review on but as a food critic you clearly failed on this visit.

Overall a nice experience at The Lime Tree Inn. Wide range of drinks and a good food offering. Staff are particularly friendly chatting to customers whether you're a regular or not. Excellent outdoor spaces on the patio and wider garden. There always seems to be kids activities in the summer/ on bank holidays as well. If I'm being really critical I would say the food is slightly pricey on the main menu but also previously had the roast which was well worth it! Parking can be awkward as it's clearly a popular venue!

Had a family meal here, food was excellent, service was good even though it was really busy. Only negative was that the car park was full but found Street parking nearby.

Fantastic first trip to the Lime Tree for my Stag do... We recieved memorable hospitality from Izzy, her knowledge of the internal structural layout of the pub is unmatched and she also happened to be able to put up with my over 9000 level indecision... I have been training for years and yet she still defeated it with ease using her upgraded humour armour. Unbelievable scenes! Great experience, lovely building, modern interior, full menu and lots of patience and banter from the staff especially Izzy, who made the experience so much more memorable. Would recommend pizza! Would visit again on a heart beat.
