Always come to this pub and it’s always great. Whatever time we visit we are always looked after, we visited for breakfast this morning and was looked after by Becca and Pam, excellent service every time! Hope it stays this way!

We had a lovely flat white coffee whilst we sat in the quiet garden with our dog, Miley. Pamela also brought out some leftover sausages for Miley, and she was very grateful!

Great meal here, really nice vibe, great decor, beautiful Sunday roast and the waiter (Travis) was very friendly and accommodating

Popped into the castle today for a couple of drinks . Amazing staff and service , we sat in the garden and had a lovely couple of hours. The service was amazing. , we stopped of at the Royal Oak a little further down the road on the way home , what a difference , the Royal Oak made us feel like we were putting them out by asking for a couple of drinks . Rooms were well equipped and extremely clean. Only thing missing was air conditioning however the fan that was within the room was sufficient. Food was good and service was exceptional. Special mention to Caroline who was on service at breakfast.

I came here for a business meeting With five fellow colleagues. I was seen to by Caroline who was absolutely fantastic! She made sure we were seated in a nice area and nothing was too much trouble, service was 5* I would definitely recommend and will be coming back.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Castle Hotel in Kirby Muxloe, Leicester, for breakfast on Monday, April 28th! The moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by two enthusiastic and knowledgeable ladies, Sam and Sarah, who made me feel right at home. I inquired about their menu recommendations, and I couldn't resist going for a full English breakfast, accompanied by a delightful side of berries, yogurt, and granola, plus some French toast. I chose to enjoy my meal in the lovely north-facing garden, basking in the morning sun, surrounded by the cheerful sounds of birds chirping. It was simply beautiful! When my coffee arrived, it came with a charming little cookie on the side—what a delightful touch! I had a great conversation with Sarah, and Sam brought out my breakfast with a smile, promptly attending to my request for sauces and cutlery. The price was around £40 for two people, which I found to be very reasonable given the quality of the food. This was truly a 10/10 experience! Having lived in the area for many years, I had been hesitant to visit due to the previous owners, but I’m so glad I did. The newly refurbished restaurant and outdoor area are stunning. I highly recommend the Castle Hotel for breakfast, lunch, or dinner—it's a true gem!

I stay here fairly regularly with work and always have a good experience. Food is amazing and breakfast with Caroline is always perfect.

Fantastic hotel the food was great breakfast was well worth the price you pay don’t think I can grab something somewhere else as you’d really be missing out on great food. I highly recommend Sunday dinner and the pie just crunched as you cut into it. You overlook the Kirby Muxloe Castle although the car park lights at night block this which is a shame I wish they were dimmed once the pub was shut.

Me and my family had a lovely visit to the castle recently and everything was perfect all around! Our waiter was called Tej and he constantly went over and above to make sure everyone was okay and was so friendly- Food was also great! Will definitely be back soon.

Food is perfect every time, and the service is always impeccable. Our server, Tavis, was beyond helpful.

We had dinner with our stay all the staff were friendly and energetic. Tavis greeted us on arrival and later served our table and helped make our time enjoyable.

We've stayed here a few times now and the hotel never disappoints. Friendly staff and lovely clean spacious rooms. The location is perfect for getting around the beautiful rural heartland of the Midlands. Look forward to visiting again soon.

Really nice food and patient staff. We took a contingent of Chinese visitors for a traditional UK pub experience and this was perfect. Food was really nice!

Lovely meal with family, every time we come the service is great and we’re always looked after by all the staff, Becca looked after us today when we came in for lunch and helped my wife with her order as she was very picky! She was very patient with her! But we all had a lovely time …again.

Come here quite a lot for family meals and never had a bad meal ever! Service is always the best, very friendly team. The location is gorgeous and love sitting in the garden area when the weather is a lot nicer. Been coming here for years and never had a bad word to say about the place! 10/10 from me and my family!

Absolutely fantastic stay! From the moment we arrived, the warmth of the staff at The castle was evident. Check-in was easy, and our room was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and with all the amenities you could need. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. The pub itself is a true gem. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, with a great selection of beers and spirits. The food was exceptional – hearty and delicious We enjoyed a fantastic dinner and a delightful breakfast the next morning. What truly sets this place apart is the genuine hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable especially Becca who was very polite during check in and made sure that we had a fantastic time throughout. The location is also perfect. We can't recommend The castle highly enough. It's the perfect combination of a traditional pub and a comfortable, high-quality hotel. We'll definitely be back!

What a lovely little hotel! Came up from Windsor to meet up with family from Sheffield on 20/02. Beautiful and much bigger dining area than expected. We had a very hearty and delicious lunch, catering well for meat eaters to vegans. Staff were all very friendly and attentive. We also stayed the night in a lovely, modern, clean small double room overlooking the remarkable Kirby Muxloe Castle - such a unique view! Loved the shower and comfy bed. Would recommend & return here.

I would not eat anywhere else. The Castle is the very best venue for myself, my family & friends. Here the staff look after their visitors!!

Pam, Caroline and Lisa made our extended family breakfast gathering a real joy. They were thoughtful, attentive and the breakfast was delicious. It all came quickly and the service was just lovely. The rooms were also good. Good size room, comfy bed, great size bathroom and all clean and nice touches like toiletries and a good selection of teas and coffees. Thank you.

Wonderful clean hotel, friendly staff & excellent breakfast. A family group stayed overnight and we couldn’t have been accommodated better. We had a large group for brunch, and Pam, Caroline and Lisa couldn’t do enough for us. Food was fresh, hot and plentiful. Would recommend & will visit again.

Me and my father dined at the castle hotel for breakfast. It’s our usual meet to spot where we have a catch up and what place other then the castle could we go. It’s so very warm and welcoming amd we always like to sit by the freshly lit fire. The staff are always very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Yesterday Pamela served us. We had some lovey chats and giggles and were very pleased with the service. Not to mention the food which is always sensational. We will be returning very soon

Friendly staff, 4 friends out for lunch Enjoyed ourselves and the meal came in a good time, Only criticism was the pies were over baked, we could still eat them but they were hard pastry wise. We have had them before and they were better, its just one of those things, we were asked how the meals were and we said everything is fine so it wasn't the servers fault. Normally we have no issues with food or anything else. I would recommend this restaurant anytime.

We had a working breakfast meeting, it was lovely service, the table was put out of the way from other guests as requested and we ate from the breakfast menu which my colleague was pleased with as it had vegan options to accommodate her dietary requirements.

We were a group of twelve for lunch, the service was very slow and the food, across a wide range of dishes, was universally reported as being poor quality. The servers were pleasant, and the place was clean and welcoming. The problem seems to lie with the kitchen.

Overnight stay on way to London , from the minute we walked in we knew we had discovered a little Gem , greeted by the manager who was excellent . We had two rooms both were amazing , well equipped and extremely warm clean and comfortable. We opted to eat in the restaurant , the food surroundings and service were amazing thanks to Zach and Tej for your service . Highly recommend this lovely place We have just enjoyed a first class breakfast overlooking a beautiful garden We will definitely be back

Boxing Day food and drinks with family after a Boxing Day walk. 7 adults 2 kids (aged 6) Food was decent pub grub, service was excellent, a little pricey but a very well run pub

Lovely pub very nicely decorated very friendly staff but unfortunately my meal was dreadful. I chose the Trio of Seafood, grilled Salmon which was not grilled probably oven baked. Halibut fillet which was undercooked.The Tiger Prawns were okay but not very hot. Hasselback potatoes which should be oven baked these may have been but not crispy but very dry the Brussel sprouts were soggy and very watery were supposed to be roasted but definitely weren’t and no Samphire at all which was on the list. The waitresses offered no comment or apology just asked is I wanted another one which I declined. Not sure if this qualifies for trade description act??

A++++++++ We've been here many times and this year my family booked Christmas Lunch here and it was great. Great service, not too fussy and very fast. Hot fast and very very tasty. Turkey dinner we all agreed was the best we had. Really nice setting too. Will be booking again for next year.

Always a warm welcome at The Castle Regularly stay at here for work. As well as a good location for me the main reason is the lovely service from Caroline and the team who go out of their way to make my stay extremely comfortable. Quaint, cosy rooms with good showers, a very welcoming bar and restaurant with delicious specials. Breakfast is particularly brilliant, lots of cooked options made to order and really good coffee! The outside area is pretty with a large patio and lots outdoor tables overlooking castle ruins. A perfect stay.

Went for lunch here, so cannot comment on the rooms or location. The food and service was really good and a lovely atmosphere for a Friday lunch time. Definitely will be back.

Update : We stopped coming a couple of years ago as the quality dropped. Went again today and it was worse, so won't be going again. The staff are still nice but the food isn't. My dish was smaller and overcooked, my beer was warm (can of Guinness), the other meals were mediocre. Nothing was bad bad but we are paying for a better than "spoons" experience. Shame as we really liked the place. Old review : Lovely place with super friendly staff. Food is always good and there is plenty of park at the back.

As a New Zealander working abroad, I’ve yet to come across a hotel which encapsulates a feeling of class, comfort, and homeliness until now! The warmth that this hotel brings was second to none! You’ve got to either dine in, drop by for a drink, or stay the night if you are visiting Leicester!

Love this hotel, everyone makes you feel so welcome especially Becca, Paul, Pam. Food excellent and plentiful. Rooms clean, modern, comfortable and the little added extras make your stay feel very special. Even has decent sized cups! All this and a wonderful moted castle within walking distance.

Had a smashing breakfast at there. i was meeting some colleagues after a drive up form the capital city. Lovely, warm, friendly staff and the breakfast was truly exceptional. Would love to come and stay as the hotel is in a lovely quiet location with easy access to the M1. Highly recomended.

We visit the castle a lot as it is our local and very friendly with great food and drink options. We had a lovely family meal on a Friday and Zach served us. He was so helpful and very attentive to all of us, replacing my drink without bother when it didn’t taste right! Nothing was too much trouble! Thank you Zach! :)
