Reasonably quick service. Nice fish and chips, but very bright green peas. Food tasted good.

Came easter monday as the spring lane chippy was closed (they have the best fish and chips) anyway ordered 3 mini fish, 3 mushy peas and a portion of chips, so wasn't cheap but the fish tasted dry and chips were dry, the peas were such a bright green and unfortunately a couple of hours later I had 3 bouts of diarrhoea so won't be going there again.

Great lamb and chicken kebab meats, very good quality meat. Great fresh portions of chips, will go again. Keep going evey week and still great food, Keep it up 👍 Had a cracking large haddock well cooked and tasty a must have.

Mini fish and chips special: chips great... fish bordering on pathetic. 80% rock hard batter... place has gone down the pan in the last 3-4 months if you ask me.

Visited here for the first time last weekend. Really great food. The chips were delicious - really fluffy inside. We ordered two mixed kebabs in naan. Really tasty, plenty of food. It felt/looked really clean inside. Great they take debit card - my normal chippy is cash only. And although a large chips are half the price at my regular, no where near the quality as from The Lighthouse. They were busy, but it’s always a good sign. Will be back for sure.

Thank the lord a decent chippy. The chips are hot, not greasy and they give proper portions. I went in and Hannah, the lovely lady behind the counter made me something that wasnt on the menu, Hannah you are a star! It was lovely. Go and check out this chippy.

Haven't been here for a while the kebabs used to be best in the area ,tonight the quality wasn't there kebabs out of bain Marie results in sweaty wet kebab and not the same size it used to be ,the girl.that served me was fantastic but run off her feet ,the owners who used to run around standing and watching sort it out this place used to be elite now same as all the others

When Im in Aldridge I always call into the Lighthouse chippy!! Delicious and freshly cooked.

Amazing food! Ordered a small kebab meat/chips and mini fish special - perfect portion sizes. Great value for money serving up fresh, hot and tasty food. Great customer service, very fast and take card payment which is always a plus. Will definitely revisit.

Absolutely terrible, got to be the worst fish I have ever had. We usual go to the chip shop in Aldridge town, but tonight because it closed at 9.30, because it was 9.35 we decided to go to the lighthouse, what a mistake that was. The fish was pathetic, looked more like a thin battered sausage,and tasted horrible, I couldn’t eat it, the chips weren’t much better, more like scratchings. Never again will I go here.

I've just had the worse meal ever. Chicken kebab I had to throw it away due to the chicken being just fat and skin 🤮. It was absolutely disgusting.

Tonight I had the best chips I can remember having, really great and portion very generous. I was passing by on way to the match and by chance stopped off. Looking forward to evening kick off again, hopefully soon!!

Dont have a large box for meat & chips etc, it's a medium charged at large prices, twice I've been there now & haven't had the item I wanted (which is basic) also you have to have a childs portion, limited options, poor start to a new buisness. With regret x

The portions have significantly reduced of late. Still enjoy the food and taste but for some reason they have reduced the portion size.

Waited in que for 20 minutes to get to the door and be told its 30minute wait for any meat. Could of been told while we stood in the cold outside, wont come again

I have visited this chip shop on quite a few occasions and on the whole the food is good and the service is friendly. However in the recent weeks I have been served with kebab meat that was so burned it was inedible and this evening I found a hair in the food. As a result I will have to take my custom elsewhere.

Excellent service and superb quality food

This place changed hands a few years ago but it’s been consistently good. Staff very friendly and great choice of food. For me I prefer traditional cod and chips which are gorgeous. Highly recommended.

Usually go to Aldridge chippy, thought id try here for a change, if you want large portions beautitul food then go to aldridge chippy down in the viĺage, the chips here were nice but not enough, and the fish was like a mini fish but did taste nice, so it was ok but ill stick to aldridge chippy

Absolutely fantastic food. Being without it for the last few months was really tough - thanks goodness it's back. Also, it's the best lamb doner meat you'll ever eat. A large doner meat and chips can easily feed two people - it's massive!

Big portions, good quality fish, crunchy batter. Freshly fried fish will be greasier so use more greaseproof paper to soak it up. Fish kept in the heated glass displays has less grease and the batter is crunchier. Prices also very reasonable. Chips are good.

Food is great, portion sizes are more than fair. We wouldn't go anywhere else now.

The food is allways fresh and well cooked with a good selection to choose from, staff are really nice and very helpfull , patient when children can,t make up their minds, the working area is allways fresh and very clean, the orders are quickly given.love this chippy.
