Sadly, the Landlord Eddie passed away recently. He always kept a great pub running fantastically well and I am certain this will continue to be the case moving into the future. RIP Eddie, I will raise an excellent glass of Guiness to you next time I am in.

Been here a few times, first on recommendation ever since on merit! Friendly little pub, great staff (Especially Eddie the Guvnor) and clientele. As has been mentioned, best Guinness in, well, some distance I'd say, certainly within Birmingham plus a selection of very well kept real ales and decent lagers I'm told although I rarely drink lager, so there's something for everyone. Do find it, try it, I know you won't be disappointed unless you're an absolute pedant! 😂

Guinness was very good. I thought it would be hard to beat the Guinness of The Spotted Dog down the road, but The Lamp Tavern's Guinness was exceptional also, both on par with eachother. £4.90 for a Guinness and cash only. Small, local place, may get a few stares when you initially walk in but it's a sound pub.

Some of the nicest Guinness we've had in England this 10 years. A charming spot, while a bit out of the way, worth the walk. The landlord was a gent, barman very civil and clientele in good spirits. If we end up back in Birmingham, it will be a must. Recommend 100%

Propper old pub. Loved our visit. Small, full of locals but so welcoming. Propper bitters/ales well kept. We stayed for a couple of pints and loved it. The landlord and his family are lovely. Remindes me of my childhood at a local with my parents. The free ham butties for all I to enjoy along with mustard, onions, cheese, pork pie and black pudding being passed around showed traditional pub roots and much Irish charm. Beautiful little pub.

This is the best Indian restaurant in the country. If you are expecting vindaloos and kormas , just go to Alum Rock or Ladypool Road areas. What Opheem does is take Indian spices and flavours and elevate them to the next level. Stunning use of spices and beautiful dishes. The seafood dishes are superb. On arrival you are taken to the bar and are served stunning canapés. We had the 10 course lunch menu and honestly each dosh was a work of art. The scallops were huge and a real highlight. I could not fault any dish. My wife popped in as she had been shopping and they gave her complimentary dessert and she was so happy. No fast turn around on tables so you can spend 3/4/5 hours chilling and enjoying good wine and food. If i lived nearby I would go every week and eat soup the rest of the week to cover the cost
