Ordered from the set lunch menu and was particularly impressed with the tempura prawn starter with fennel, it was delicious! Enjoyed the homemade ginger beer too. Service was great and the decor is bold and interesting.

I was greeted at the door, i asked for a coffee and was told they fully respect hard working people but.. I am a Gas engineer working nearby, I was wearing a work fleece, no mud, no dust just as clean as anyone else. I was let in after a brief discussion and offered to sit at the bar rather than a table. I asked can I sit at a table which I did. I felt judged due to my appearance, it's my first negative experience when visiting I've venues. The coffee was nice though.

Such a fantastic location for a delicious meal. As always the team is incredibly welcoming and friendly. We always have a great experience here. Would love to see more on the brunch menu though!!

I celebrated my birthday at The Ivy in Blackheath on Friday evening with my daughter. The food was great, atmosphere was lovely. Our server Inma, was brilliant, she was attentive, kind and always on hand to make sure we were being looked after. Will definitely be returning.

A stylish and comfortable cafe. We also liked the breakfast except the sausage, it was very nutritious and delicious. The employees were also friendly, courteous and helpful.

Cute little place. Reasonably priced for breakfast. Brought out a free dessert for the birthday girl! Only marked service down slightly as we were told the booking was until 2:30. Admittedly we paid by 2:10, but we were enjoying talking and taking turns in the group to use the toilet facilities before we left, but they told us we had to leave as the next table was there. I think considering we had the table until 2:30 and had a baby with us who was breastfeeding, they should have let us have until our allocated slot, without making us feel bad to move on. Otherwise all good.

Went to the Blackheath Ivy for wife's birthday and unfortunately not a great eating experience. We've been to this Ivy about 5 times over the years since it opened and always great food, my wifes food no complaints but my burger was dry and un-edible apart from that a great place. Our waiter had no problems removing it from the bill. I would say the burger was cooked previously and put under a heater hence no juicy burger which had just dried out.

Absolutely fabulous. Ten of us enjoyed a great night of fantastic food, wine and attentive service. There’s something for everyone here and whilst the place has class and a classic brasserie service style, it’s not at all stuffy. Would like to single out our server, Paloma, specifically for making our night special, thank you very much.

If you'd like a slightly fancy experience without paying an absolute fortune this place is great. The food was really delicious and the drinks too (ordered a mocktail). Would come back for a treat again!

Ivy cafe was an amazing dinner. Carlos our waiter was amazing. So accommodating and easy to talk to. Definatley recommend. And if you visit 100% would recommend carlos as your waiter.

We had a lovely time having a long lunch at Blackheath, made particularly special by our waiter Feim. Food was quick and fresh with good options, Feim was amazing at helping my nan in in her wheelchair and brought us a special celebration dessert after having a chat with us and finding out we were celebrating! Whilst the Ivy is usually one of the pleasant place to eat, drink & great atmosphere, I would not say the same for this one. I arrived at 10mins before the bar was due to close, 1.10 mins before the venue is due to close. But the staff had already closed the bar & tills! To be honest I am totally shocked, never experienced this low level service from Ivy before. Not all accommodating. Clearly the staff just want to leave early.

A big thank you to Carlos for being so attentive, kind, and helpful. His excellent customer service made my experience much better, and I really appreciate his care and friendliness.

Very reasonably priced. Lovely atmosphere and the food was divine. They have an great team with a special thank you to Carlos. He was amazing. No request was too big or small. He went above and beyond. I would definitely go back just for the service alone. 5 stars.

We made a spontaneous visit to The Ivy Blackheath this Sunday and were delighted that the host graciously accommodated us without a reservation, for which we were most grateful. We encountered a minor issue with a gift voucher received at Christmas, but the team handled it with the utmost professionalism and efficiency. Tea’s service was truly impeccable throughout, ensuring our drinks were always topped up and that we were well looked after. We very much look forward to our next visit.

I have eating in the Ivy Blackheath many times and it is always great but today’s breakfast was exceptional. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely and the service provided by Janos was fantastic. 10/10

We loved everything about our New Year's Day brunch. The quality of food, ambience and value were all excellent, but the most exceptional feature was the service from Inma. My son has an allergy and the attention to detail Inma showed (including finding suitable alternatives to set courses) gave us a lot of confidence and helped us relax and enjoy the occasion. It was the first day of 2025 but I struggle to believe we will find more friendly or helpful service anyway in the rest of 2025.

We had the absolute pleasure of dining at The Ivy Blackheath recently, and I have to say, it was one of the most enjoyable evenings we’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a warm and friendly receptionist who made us feel right at home straight away. I’ve been to a few Ivy restaurants before, but there’s something about this one that just felt more charming and comfortable. It had this relaxed elegance that made it the perfect setting for a special occasion without feeling too formal or over the top. Now, onto the service – absolutely first-class. Our waiter, Janos, was fantastic. He struck the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth, looking after us with such care and attention. At the same time, he had a great sense of humour and even managed to make my mum laugh, which really set the tone for the evening. He was incredibly attentive, from keeping our drinks topped up to recommending cocktails that looked absolutely stunning – my wife’s drink even came with a tiny snowman garnish, which was a lovely little touch. And the food didn’t disappoint either. I had the turkey ballotine, which was rich, full of flavour, and beautifully cooked. It felt indulgent but not heavy, and every bite was delicious. The presentation was spot on too – it looked just as good as it tasted. To round off the night, Janos surprised my mum with a celebration plate, which was such a thoughtful gesture and really made her evening feel extra special. I honestly can’t fault The Ivy Blackheath – and Janos in particular – for making the whole experience so memorable. It’s been a long time since I’ve experienced service this good, and it reminded me just how important those little touches are.If you’re looking for a beautiful setting, fantastic service, and excellent food, I’d highly recommend giving it a visit. Have used this restaurant many times and on our last visit to meet up with friends just before Christmas we were asked to leave the table after 1hr 45 mins as our table was required - this despite being surrounded by empty unmade up tables! Have never had this at any other restaurant, it is embarrassing when you are with fellow guests to be ‘asked’ to leave. On querying this ‘rule’ I was told 90 mins for 2 people and 1hr 45 mins for numbers above two - no chance to chat and catch up with friends and family - we had to skip coffee as we were very aware that we might possibly be ‘evicted’. Not a good experience, you somehow feel that you have done something wrong by daring to be enjoying the meal and the company.

Guests were disappointed with their dishes. One had a steak that wasn’t cooked medium well, and another had the mushroom linguine, which was alright. We were disappointed the original shepherds pie wasn’t on the menu and was replaced with a duck, goose and duck version. Hopefully this is only for the festive season! I had the fish and chips which was decent, hard to get wrong in my opinion! Pricey for the quality. Everyone agreed it wasn’t as nice as some of the other Ivy restaurants visited, unfortunately. We all loved the warm Sourdough!

My child was nowhere near full on the small serving of sausage and mash (also had to request more gravy) and so we had to purchase more food. Down the stairs buckets were lined up collecting water from a leak. The stairs down to the toilets were cluttered and dirty and on the two occasions of me going down, staff were coming up with food, there was just no room. The worst thing though was despite having the table booked for two hours, 90 minites in, a member rof staff handed us the desert menu whilst stating, “we will need you to be away from the table very soon”. We said we would leave desert then and smiling he took the menus. This left us feeling rushed and left a sour tatse. If we had been served quicker we would have had time for pudding, instead 90 mins in we are being pushed to leave. Food 5/10 Service 3/10 Surroundings 2/10 Value for money 2/10 There are much nicer, restaurants nearby or in London where you would get better service and food for the price we paid.

I had a quick lunch here. Nice Place, Excellent Food, Great Service and the restaurant is located in a quiet and charming area. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. I were served quickly, yet everything was fresh (except the frozen berry’s, specified on the menu) and perfectly cooked. Will definitely be back.

Lovely place with beautiful decor. The food was delicious but feels so cheeky to charge extra for fries & sauce with a £27 steak. But guess ivys not for the poor!

Very good food. Service was good too. My only criticism is that the tables aren’t big enough and the whole restaurant feels very cramped and tightly packed in.

So I had the pleasure of joining my work colleagues here for our traditional Christmas dinner. While I wasn't expecting much, it turned out to be a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience even for a group of six! The atmosphere, even though traditional, was very relaxing and our host was cheerful and friendly. The service was well paced. The food was from a Christmas 3 course set menu that did have a good range and we all found something on it that we liked. I had the steak which was delicious but would have been better if it came with a sauce of some sort. Having said that, there were only empty plates left in the end! A little pricey but we all had such a pleasurable and memorable experience and the service was top-notch. Pleased to say I will be returning to this one with the family in the not too distant future!

As long time fans of the Ivy, we were delighted to meet the newer member of staff, Dean, at the Ivy in Blackheath. He was very knowledgable about the drinks and gave spectacular recommendations, he was also funny and charming and made good bar company.

We had an amazing experience at The Ivy, Blackheath, on Sunday morning. It was my Son’s Birthday celebration. The Christmas decor was just wonderful. Such a cosy atmosphere. Our breakfast was absolutely delicious, especially the smoked salmon. Simply the best service we’ve had in ages. We were looked after by Janos, he provided excellent service, nothing was too much trouble. He helped make our visit truly memorable. We will definitely eat here again. Thank you

Unfortunately, I do not recommend it. The menu only had a vegetarian option, so I ordered that, and the waiter gave me the version with shrimp. Fortunately, I don't have allergies and nothing happened, but who else could have lost their health because of such a mistake 😕

On a quiet Sunday morning I had breakfast here, a very nice granola wth yoghurt. The staff was friendly and the interview tasteful. The only negative: the music. I was hoping for peaceful music for the Sunday morning, classical music for example, but the shouty and restless music I heard was more suitable for a clothing store on Oxford Street. A shame.

Special thanks to Emma the hostess - who confirmed the booking prior and kindly attended to my request for a table with no air con above and better lighting to accommodate my fellow diners’ accessibility and warmth needs. In addition, we were looked after by Tea for the duration of our meal who was attentive to all of our needs and made the evening extra special by bringing out a surprise birthday cake with candle lit. Our waiter, János, delivered impeccable service—polite, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic. He made us feel valued without being intrusive, ensuring every detail of our dining experience was perfect. For mains, I chose the fish and chips, while my fiancée opted for the shepherd’s pie. The fish was encased in a light, crispy batter, perfectly paired with golden triple-cooked chips and a fresh minted pea purée. Every bite was delicious. The shepherd’s pie was hearty and comforting, with tender lamb and a beautifully golden, creamy mash. Both dishes showcased top-quality ingredients and expert preparation. The evening was a perfect blend of delicious food, outstanding service, and festive charm. We left feeling well cared for and can’t wait to return.

Coffee 4.25???? What is the need for Breakfast? Although I had Sourdough Toast and Mini Pastrie for breakfast almost each same price.. Just regret having coffee for that price.. Not worth it..

Welcomes by lady at the entrance with a huge smile . Then we was seated and handed menues. Straight away asked if we would like anything to drink. Starters was an adjustment due to allergies, and it was not an issue, and the waiter asked additional questions regarding allergies/food intolerance. Starters yum plus mains . Tried to squeeze in dessert but no room. Thank you to the team .

Always a great location for food

After spending a day away, I ended up at the Blackheath station and headed over to The Ivy Cafe. The afternoon tea was so-so but the scones were really good. The crispy duck salad I had was okay. The indoors are gorgeous but I didn’t spend much time in as it was a nice day to sit outside.

Absolutely a go-to spot for brunch and cream tea. Views of the heath are lovely, good paid parking options. Sit outside if the weathers good and if not they have heaters and blankets! Brilliant staff and great quality food. Love it!

I had the loveliest lunch here with my family, the staff was so attentive and made sure everything was to a perfect standard. I go every few months as a treat with my family and we always love it!

Lunch was adequate but no more. Young female server was barely civil and called me Miss. I'm well over that age. I had asked for a table away from other guests as it was a business meal. The request was ignored until Reception noticed and offered us a table by the entrance to the kitchen. Inattentive service from the young girl. Cigarette smoke from the back of the restaurant explained away as coming from the front outside tables which it wasn't. Assume staff were smoking out the back. Expensive and lacklustre. Will find other options in Blackheath in the future.

What a lovely, clean & welcoming place to have brunch. Staff welcoming with a smile & gave us options wear to sit. Drinks ordered & served a very timely manner. Food ordered, came to the table well presented, fresh looking & tasted absolutely divine. The food ordered was pancakes & the full Ivy English breakfast. With a pot of tea & a latte.

Went with their family all 12 of us, every one had a great meal and the atmosphere was fantastic, staff very attentive and quick. A little expensive but we'll worth the cost.

Nous cherchions un lieu pour bruncher et compiler avec la visite de Greenwich park, le café s'est imposé comme une évidence Le cadre est somptueux, on a l'impression de retourner dans les années 50/60, les serveurs très sympas et serviables et notre brunch en mode "english breakfast" typique s'est avéré un succès J'avais pris des oeufs bénédictes à l'avocat, je me suis régalée En bonne française, j'ai voulu tester les pâtisseries qui étaient tout aussi bonnes que chez nous Les confitures étaient bonnes et ne ressemblaient pas à mes vieux souvenir d'enfance de marmelade immangeable Nous nous sommes en bref régalés et la pause a été appréciée avant de démarrer la balade à Greenwich
