Food is a steal and staff are friendly. Don't expect haute cuisine but it's great for what it is. Very family friendly too.

Classic spoons really, good food and drinks for the price, nice outdoor area in summer.

Ceaser, the Publucan, is very friendly and welcoming. There is a great mix of people it is our quick go-to for a quick meal. Hubby enjoys a cold Corona and a delicious pink G&T for me. Great value for money 🙂

It's a nice pub with plenty to offer. The people working there were nice and the pub had a decent atmosphere. The only gripe was the service was very slow at times. Apart from that a good pub.

As an ale drinker I appreciate that the staff at Wetherspoons always seem to know how to properly pour a pint. Given the barge is one of the best value pubs in the area ( followed only by the Royal George (Sam smiths)) their guest cask ale is consistently high quality and expertly kept, and often nicer than more expensive pubs in the area. As usual Wetherspoons have good vegan options on the menu and the staff as always are friendly and professional.

Not a bad spoons, but loses points on the musty smelly carpet which desperately needs a wash. As you walk in there’s a smell and feel of old, grimy, musty beer filled carpet and old alcoholics sit in there all day. It’s a little depressing. Sitting outside in the sun can be nice however and has a holiday feel to it. The breakfast is decent, classic spoons so not the best quality but cheap. They forgot some of my order so I had to ask for it and they got it wrong.

I ordered the traditional breakfast and it came literally Luke warm after about a 15min wait for it the beans where basically cold.The chef need to do better. Good value for money though but need to be hot when served.

Great place to have a proper food. It’s chain is throughout UK so simplest way is downloading app called Wetherspoon which can be used to locate the nearest chain from your location and use same app to order food once you’re in the branch. Cool 🤘

Great pub, I have been there many times

Terrible service. Staff are incredibly rude and I was ignored for over 5 minutes at the bar while they spoke between themselves. The barmaid with brown hair was incredibly rude to me, no customer service skills at all. There was polite chit chat, no please or thank you and food was just slammed down on the table so hard the curry splashed up and stained my top. Not even an apology. I won’t be returning.

On one hand the girl behind the bar who took my order was exceptionally rude but then she was polite after that, so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt.

Middle of an ‘island’ pub in SE London, this got me to either 199 or 299 in the chain. Nice outdoor area.

The Ale I had was excellent, the Steak was perfectly cooked, the Side Salad very colourful and tasty and even the Mash had a pleasing texture to it! Very well done! The service at the bar was very helpful and friendly and the table service was very quick and unobtrusive.

Staff behind the bar not very happy in their job, no thank you and look like serving drinks is a chore, more interested in chatting to other staff and handing out bottles of water to their friends (not sure if paid for) No sign of any one in charge as tables left uncleaned for ages, most customers have to move plates ect themselves so they can use table

Unfriendly, clichey, badly lit, crowded, and miserable.

Lively pub, crowded with people. A lot of noise. A varied menu with diet options. A varied drinks menu too. It was good.

Local Wetherspoons. ... Great ales & beers 🍻 🍺 🍻 but the bar staff are more intent on discussing their everyday lives with each other than serving the customers. Question: Whatever happened to customer service? Wetherspoons might be a large company that has numerous public houses throughout the UK but I rather go to a locally-owned establishment that will take the time to make the customers feel like they are welcome & appreciated.

A wonderful friendly place with a great service just entering inside you can feel the smell of fresh food and coffee, a very happy place and affordable for everyone.

Decent local with friendly staff, great selection of ales and the usual fare for Wetherspoons... Good, consistent quality, and fast service, most of the time. *Update* Same old faces working post covid lockdown as before. So much for the alleged "let them stack shelves" 'quote' 🙄 The Barge remains a friendly, welcoming local, and the service is faster, if anything. Edit. Hasn't changed a great deal, but a new influx of staff has breathed new life into the Barge. A great local.

I only come in here for the cheap booze, who else doesnt?? Aside from that, I think I actually got an allergic reaction from this place after having stepped in here as the place is just absolutely filthy, tables filthy and sticky, theres something pucid in the atmosphere - I'm inclined to stay away if I care about my health... Plus staff are incompetent, childish and stupid... Really theres no good reason to come to this wetherspoons... Its a shame, it could have been better..

It is a nice friendly family type of pub. The drinks and food are reasonable prices. The food was good. The staff are lovely

Nice pub but avoid the pizza at all costs. Nothing like other spoons pizzas - flat strange bread - avoid!!!

Nice place. It is a very interesting bar with a loyal clientele. The food is good and the service is quite fast. Ellis has an interesting variety of beers and spirits. The atmosphere is calm and they open from 9 am.

Nice pub Short walk from the station Beautifull murial of Bob Marley on the side wall. My only gripe was the young bar man who served me - miserable face and wasnt prepared to mix the drinks at my request.

The male manager who was on lunch time 8th November was lovely and so much help when we messed up our drinks order! Thank you again 🙂

Waited over 30 mins for the food and when it came it was stone cold. Staff are usually friendly enough but spend too much time standing around chatting instead of clearing tables.

Always, a pleasant time here. You may have to search for seating as it can get quite busy, but the atmosphere is alive. All ages frequent this venue.

App accidentally put through 1 pint as 3 as as it kept crashing and said the order hadn’t gone through. On-site boss was nice enough at first but closed off as soon as I brought it the issue. Saying well they’re nothing that can be done now. Ended up giving my extra two drinks to some people sat next to me. I didn’t expect a full refund but any help would have been appreciated as I’ve been coming here for over 5 years.

Warm welcome from the manager, food really good and served by great friendly staff. So good we went for breakfast twice that weekend. Love the Brockley Barge.

Just tried ordering chips at bar she asked for table number went outside to get table number came back big cue now she says I gotta wait in big cue!! Some people who don’t know customers service should work with the public! Every time I come this place always same different kids running this place and don’t know how to deal with customers Absolute joke

Rude staff, dirty environment, smells of weed and again rude staff

Had toobwait over an hour for our food not one member of staff informed myself of why we had too wait so long so I had too ask a member of staff too chase our order up when it turned up it wasn't terrible had too send it back very poor indeed.

My Local Pub In Brockley come to get some food. Service took long food turned up cold and really didn't injoy my food I wanted to say something but didn't what to be rude upset with Service. I would say friendly staff but poor food and service.

Been coming here for years, don’t expect quality everything, it functions very well for a Wetherspoons in London, good atmosphere, people of all ages and ethnicities, easy staff. The boss, Cesar, is the jewel in this crown of a pub. Good old reliable barge man, can’t beat it.

Great food, prompt service. However, my server said that a cask I that I wanted was unavailable, yet a friend was served one. However, I was asked if I wanted to returned the pint that I ordered but declined as I had already started drinking it. The male toilets could have been cleaner.

The dirtiest JD I've ever seen. And I've seen many.

The manager who was named Caesar was very welcoming and attentive with his customers. He could not do enough for you. A very happy person always makes you feel as if you want to go back. If we had more time there we would defiantly go back especially as it’s the manager who leaves a lasting impression on his customers. All the staff were very good also. All I can say is anyone who is in that are of Brockley please visit Wetherspoon’s you will experience a warm welcome from all the staff and a very good manager.

There are 2 regular staff who are good. The rest are rude, slow and have no customer interest. The tables are rarely clean or clear. The only plus is it's nearby. There are few options in the area.

Not the biggest spoons in town but not really small either. Spread over a single level, the usual seating options are available. The staff were very pleasant and cheerful. As you would expect, the breakfast was very good and excellent value for money. The pub was very clean and tidy. There is outside seating on two levels out the back plus more tables in front. I may have stayed for a sly early Guinness and it was excellent.

Always like this pub. Busy very good staff and good food. Safe pub for a night out in what some might consider rough area that is changing but as with all areas keep your wits about you.

Quick service and table service, space is very tight on a friday, we had 6 chairs around a small circle table.

I don't tend to use this chain of pubs but as whetherspoon pubs go, this one isn't too bad. The staff are quick and polite, and it is relatively clean. My beer was terrible, but given the price, I should have expected that. Not ideal if you looking for a quiet place to drink given the constant baby crying noises and kids running around but if you have a young family with you and fancy a cheap pint then this is probably the place for you.

A very English place. Cheap drinks Mostly clean toilets Food is not cheap. Have a fair garden if you smoke Carpets carpets. They didn’t care online orders from app, most of the time and takes a bit longer to deliver

With a Wetherspoon you know what you're getting but this one needs a special thanks through positive review! I lost my purse there on Friday after goodbye drinks and it was handed in immediately fully intact. The purse alone is worth over £150 so I wasn't expecting to get it back but I contacted them in hopes it was found. Celebrated with a full American breakfast and free refill hot chocolates. Lol There are still good people in the world, so appreciative of this person.

Never been in a Weatherspoons before and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was veery reasonably priced with free drinks. The people serving were lovely and helpful. The pub had a well used feel and the tables weren't spotless but we will consider this chain in future.
