Ace food and good customer service

Went here for my birthday and I couldn’t fault it at all. The food was lovely & Sharon and the team are amazing! I’ll definitely be coming back!

Last minute birthday reservation for my daughter's 30th and it was lovely. Very friendly staff and gorgeous food. We are definitely going to return very soon, thank you to Sharon the Manager for making my daughter's birthday special.

Found it difficult to find a Chinese restaurant that wasn't just takeaway or delivery. So please that we found the Imperial. Food was excellent and the staff were great. We will definitely be returning.

Great Chinese. Very friendly & welcoming! Sharon the manager is a breath or fresh air & really goes above & beyond for her customer base! Lovely freshly prepared food. Only gripe is the cost of a portion of noodles, @ £7, they certainly don't cost that much in real life, so a bit of an issue with that one. Overall a great place with great food & a lovely atmosphere. Welldone.

Very disappointing meal. Visited many time but not up to standard. Chicken in the ginger & spring onion dish just tasted boiled

Took my daughter to Imperial for her birthday dinner with family and we all had a great time! The food was delicious and Sharon and her team provide excellent service and we even had Sharon sing a birthday song to us 🥰

Food was very good but the atmosphere and service was poor. We felt rushed and over observed. Plates were cleared away at lightening speed when we put forks down after eating our last mouthful of food from plates. Bing bongs of the takeaway food chime alert are constant as orders are prepared and brought through to the hot plate in the middle of the restaurant. A very busy takeaway operation. I go out to eat in a restaurant, not takeaway central. There’s a multitude of clutter and boxes around the place too. It’s just not worth the extra to sit in such a disappointing environment. I would try the takeaway menu as I said the food was good but would NEVER eat in again. And to seal the deal of the event, after being constantly checked in on (hassled) as soon as we had paid we were ignored and only got a goodbye because insisted on one by engaging with now dismissive owner. One very disappointed customer.

We booked a table for my father's 90th birthday. What a fabulous evening. The food was amazing but Sharon made the evening through her attention and entertainment. She was very attentive to our table making sure we always had what we wanted. She couldn't do enough for us. My father was overjoyed when she sang happy birthday in Chinese to him! Excellent service and Sharon was delightful entertainment

This was a first time visit and we came across The Imperial as another Chinese restaurant we wanted to try in Brighouse was fully booked. There were 3 of us and overall the service and food was amazing. The portion sizes were large and all our meals tasted fantastic. The waiting staff were polite and friendly, the premises were clean and an explanation of the menu was really valued. We enjoyed the service from Sharon the manager and would definitely return again.

I dined here today with my family and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The food was very tasty (especially the korean chicken) and the service from sharon and the rest of the wait staff was excellent ! It was a very homely atmosphere and the food arrived quickly - 10/10 recommend to everyone

We were recommended the restaurant by a couple of people. & we weren’t disappointed. The young waitresses were lovely. Sharon the manager was very friendly & helpful. The food was very nice, we will definitely return.

If I had been rating this restaurant on food alone it would have been 5 stars the food was excellent but then Sharon arrived loud and inappropriate. We booked the table about a hour before we arrived at no point were we told that they would need the table back in less than a hour, after soup, starter and main courses we were asked to leave the table as it was needed for the next people 54 mins after we sat down and made very uncomfortable by Sharon when we said we needed to order a taxi. During the meal due to our location near the serving station we over heard some very inappropriate behaviour to the very attentive young staff including encouraging them to write good reviews for the restaurant to increase its rating. We would definitely visit this restaurant again but would avoid Friday and Saturday the nights that Sharon works

This was my first visit having found many lacklustre Chinese restaurants locally and needing a change. Well worth the 30 min drive ! The quality of the food, the portion sizes and the flavours of everything we tried were incredible. A fabulous experience from the moment the phone was answered when we called to book - right through to leaving the building more than satisfied with everything (and every member of staff we met) Amazing and we will be back.

Having googled ‘best Chinese in Halifax’ we booked and drove for 30 mins to eat The Imperial. And it earned its title of best Chinese. Even the phone call to book the table was a lovely happy experience. The restaurant is small and intimate - with a fabulous menu - some staple favourites like sweet and sour and some amazing dishes I had never seen anywhere else. The food was nothing short of incredible. Piping hot, incredible flavours and very good sized portions. The staff were all incredible and friendly too. Big shout out for the crispy duck - succulent, tasty and crispy - most other places are missing the crispy ! I could have eaten it all day long. It was our first visit - but we definitely will be back.

An absolutely fantastic Restaurant, great quality food and menu, authentic, great atmosphere and cosy and warm, had a lovely welcome and entertainment from the Manager Sharon. The staff are great, can't recommend this place enough give it a try you will love it.

Went for my daughters birthday staff went the extra mile and when we turned up they decorated the table off the there own backs food was amazing and staff were fantastic 👏

Been here tonight for the first time and oh my word it definately wont be our last visit. Everything was perfect from "Gobby Sharon" and all her knowledge, friendliness, entertainment and making us feel very welcome, to the food which was extremely tasty, succulent and perfect portion sizes, aleady thinking about our next visit, I am so glad we found this place.

My partner and I visited this little gem last weekend and what a find ! We were going to get a takeaway but decided to eat in. The food was amazing with the best salt and pepper chips I’ve ever tasted ! At first glance the prices seemed on the expensive side but it includes your rice or chips with it so overall it’s reasonable. It comes well presented aswell. The staff were lovely and attentive nothing too much trouble explaining what the different dishes were Sharon is a little bit bonkers and worth a visit just to meet her 😂 Would highly recommend looking forward to visiting again soon.

Good value for money , perfect sized portions , Sharon the manager was the best , very helpful and lively ,answered any questions we had on the menu and explained what each dish was.

From entering the restaurant to leaving the staff were very professional, wonderfully led by Sharon who certainly added to the evening. She explained the menu and answered any questions anyone had on any of the dishes. The food was great and any special requests were met . I will certainly be going again.

So impressed by this little gem of a Chinese restaurant. It’s tucked away on a side street in Hipperholme, and if it wasn’t for recommendation on the Huddersfield gluten free Facebook group, I wouldn’t have known about it. I’ve not had a Chinese in over a decade since being gluten intolerant, so I was eagerly anticipating and salivating on arrival! The restaurant is cosy, and nicely decorated. The table linen and linen napkins were a lovely touch and gave it that higher end restaurant feel. Sharon the manager, was absolutely fabulous, and is clearly a real character that gives the restaurant warmth with her quirky humour. She couldn’t do enough for us and was an exceptional host. The gluten free options are clearly labelled on a menu page, plus Sharon informed us that many other dishes could also be adapted. We chose gluten free prawn toast and Peking ribs for starters and they truly were to die for! The sweet and sour king prawns (battered and gf!) and chicken fried rice equally did not disappoint. Absolutely beautiful food. The portions weren’t huge (as they sometimes are in takeaways) but it was quality over quantity and I’d prefer that any day. If you fancy a really nice restaurant experience with delicious Chinese food, then you must try the Imperial.

What a lovely little place. The small menu means less worry for the chef and more focus on quality. And it shows. I thoroughly recommend the Kimchi soup. Great flavour, great heat and dish.

An excellent meal at the Imperial and thanks to Sharron for her fantastic service, she kept us entertained and kindly gave us all our desserts on the house. Sharron, you raise us up.

It may not look like a proper traditional Chinese restaurant but the foods are great and the people who work there are very friendly.

Had a superb meal here last night after having a hankering for a Chinese meal somewhere other than my sofa. Authentic, delicious food and wonderful service. Sharon, the vivacious manager explained the menu and made recommendations. Everything was perfect. We will be back.

Staff were really friendly and welcoming! Restaurant was very clean and tidy! The restaurant’s decor was lovely! The food was tasty, full of flavour and the portion sizes were spot on! The only downfall for me is when the bill came I felt it was quite pricey. In other restaurants where our meal would usually come around £55 ish our meal here came to £74 ish. I can’t fault the service or the food I still think it was lovely.

I usually get a takeaway to collect. The food is lovely, although a little pricier than I’d like The staff are all lovely and I can always collect quickly. The only dish I’m not keen on is the curry, but other dishes I’ve tried, including the starters, are completely satisfying

The food arrived on time and was correct, but the taste and quantity was poor. Will never order again from here, toast or coco pops beat it.

From arrival to the meal from the starters to the mains (with was delicious) was delivered with the upmost grace and what can I say about Sharon a star will defy be coming again soon thanks everyone involved

Excellent service from start to finish absolutely everything was of a high quality and value for money . Staff very friendly and with plenty of smiles good manners and dresses to a very smart and clean standard. The atmosphere here is super positive and a great feel and vibe . Child friendly good space between tables upstairs seating available and cash and card accepted . Highly recommended

First time going to The Imperial and everything from going in to going out was fantastic! Welcomed in and had a drink before going to the table and Sharon went through the menu and looked after us throughout and had a few laughs with us. The serving size is just right with the food and the presentation was beautiful too. The taste was beautiful, real flavour to the food. The prices are just right. Will 100% be going again! Thanks again for the beautiful meal. Nice selection for vegetarians too!

Visited with my girlfriend who has a gluten allergy. Can thoroughly recommend. The food was superb and very friendly and tentative service. They offer a dedicated gluten free menu which meant a stress free dining experience for my girlfriend. The Hong Kong honey roast pork was amazing. My girlfriend had the sour and spicy Po Po Chicken. If ever we are in the area again we shall return.

The best Chinese in the area. On the more expensive side for a Chinese takeaway but always excellent. And they cater very well for our gluten-free requirements. Staff always friendly and efficient.

First time visiting this restaurant, as our usual place was full. Was pleased as soon as we walked in, very nice atmosphere staff are very helpful and polite. The owner is lovely and me asked you feel welcome from the off. Food was amazing with a great choice of dishes. Sharon was brilliant, a great laugh and very attentive. Have been looking for a new Chinese Restaurant, and so glad we found this place! The food was superb! Portion sizes were good without being over faced, and the staff and service was excellent! Big shout out to Sharron who took so much time to chat with us, and was so friendly, talking us through the menu, giving us descriptions of the dishes, and then telling each of us our fortunes for the new Lunar year! Felt really personal and friendly. Also big shout out to Lucy, who's first night it was, but despite that was friendly and chatty and provided us with excellent service. I'd give more than five stars if I could.

Some friends and I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Imperial in Hipperholme. We arrived in the town late on Saturday, and were searching for some food after a long journey. Despite the late hour, Sharon and her team couldn’t have been more welcoming. We were treated to an excellent meal including Satay Tofu, Po po chicken and sweet and sour chicken (all delicious!) Next time we’re in the area, we’ll certain be back!

Our first time at rhe Imperial and it certainly won't be our last. What a lovely find. Friendly welcome and shown straight to our table. We had three courses and thoroughly enjoyed each one. We will certainly be giving this place another try and recommend it to all. Sorry no photos, Next time.

Really great experience, the food was tasty and fresh (with generous portions) and Sharon the waiter was chatty and great whilst we were waiting for our food (and told us our Chinese new year fortunes which I personally loved).
