We were cycling the Hebridean way, one of our bikes was making a noise and we dropped in an hour before the shop and cafe closed to get Cameron and Alistair to look at the bike - nothing was a bother, We were tired and wet and we had a hot drink and cake whilst Cameron checked the bike, gave advice, fixed up what he could and got us going. We completed our trip and got to Mallaig. Very grateful for their chilled cafe vibes, friendly chat, excellent service. Best vegan red velvet and hot choc. Great, stocked bike shop for repairs . Lovely staff. Can’t recommend enough. Thanks troops.

We’re staying in Stornoway for one month and have tried every breakfast spot at this point in our trip. The Hub Cafe was our hands down favorite for many reasons. It’s convenient to walks around the castle grounds, above a bike store, quick service, and a cozy atmosphere with good music. My son was so excited to finally get an egg the way he likes it. Coffee was delicious, desserts divine, and the burritos satisfying and held together. The owner is easy on the eyes too if you need something to look at while you smack your lips.

What an amazing cafe! We stumbled across this local gem tucked away upstairs with entrance through the bike shop downstairs. Hands down, the best breakfast in Lewis dished up by the friendliest of people. Perfectly cooked with lots of tasty veggie options for me with good quality meats for hubster, both of us very satisfied. Had to take away a cheeky slice of Rhubarb and custard cheesecake to try later (we were too full from breakfast) and it was literally to die for! It was the best cheesecake we've ever had. I'll be making this place my first stop in Stornoway on our next visit, thank you guys for the hospitality!

Excellent cafe in Stornaway! We called in for breakfast, we were welcomed by a very friendly guy! They open at 10am and parking is at the rear lots of room for us visiting in our motorhome to park. The Hub Cafe is up stairs above the cycle shop. Entry via shop The place is very cosy warm and inviting! Very friendly genuinely nice guy took our order of full Scottish breakfast which was served quickly and hot accompanied with hot buttered toast! One of the best soya latte coffee I have had (and I’m fussy) cup of tea for hubby. All delicious! We had fresh scones and chocolate brownies to take away too which we enjoyed later waiting for our ferry back to Skye! Superb cafe, good fresh food great price and friendly service Well worth a visit Thank you 🙏

What a brilliant place to enjoy refreshments! Absolutely stunning views! The food and drink is of top quality too. It’s open from April to end of September and defiantly worth a call when on North Uist

Tucked away on the other side of the pier, this is a fantastic takeaway, the taster box was delicious and so fresh. Loved the scallops which were perfectly cooked. Thank you.

Conveniently located on the car park opposite Leverburgh village hall, this van serves cones and tubs of very special ice cream most afternoons. A delightful young man took our order and money, and a very nice lady made up the ice creams. A little mental concentration is required; you have to decide 1) what size you require, 2) whether to have ice cream or frozen yoghurt as the base, and 3) what flavour to choose. I had the blackberry, which was fabulous. Just one suggestion; could you site a waste bin near the van, for used paper cups?

Inspired by the “EatDrinkHebrides” trail map, popped in to collect a picnic lunch during a Hebridean road trip. We had the most amazing toasties and hot chocolate. Handy for the ferry. Worth a detour!!
