Very fun quiz. Quiz masters were super cool and awesome. Aiden is cool too I suppose.

Really enjoyed pub quiz on Monday night with Robert hosting, questions were great and fun atmosphere. Received great drinks service from Courtney and Aiden in the kitchen made us a very tasty cheesecake. Will definitely be back!

Fantastic night revisiting The Howgait tonight. Courtney and Ross provided stellar service and a mean pint of Guinness. Aidan in the kitchen served up a tasty honeycomb cheesecake. Was in for the quiz tonight. Wasn't aware it's now a quid per person but doesn't put us off coming back when the service is so great.

The Howgait is a great pub, especially for students with a wide range of deals. Bartenders Angus and Michael were lovely tonight, and James from the kitchen made a spectacular vegan burger!

Had a brilliant night here on Saturday. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially when catering to my gluten free, vegan dog(wee David).Highly recommend

Popped in today, 1st time here for lunch and drinks. Staff are great, food ordered and served quickly. Mac n cheese + garlic bread, chicken goujons, fries and drinks all good and excellent value. Recommended. Will be in again on our next visit in town.

Staff was friendly. You order at the bar and they bring it to your table. They were out of fish and chips but we ordered alternatives that were good but not the best we’ve had. Drinks had good pours. Overall we really enjoyed it.

Visited on Wednesday for lunch the bar staff were lovely and friendly but the food was terrible. At one point, I saw the girl in the kitchen picking her nose and then carrying on cooking, which really put me off my lunch. Seems like a nice place for a drink but would avoid the food till their staff get some training on hygiene.

Over priced poor quality food took for ever to come when it did it was cold they eventually brought the onion rings and other side's buy the time our meal was over I cancelled my dessert as had to get back to work WASTE OF MONEY NEVER AGAIN you can tell the staff take no pride and don't care with the totally laid back attitude.

Very good atmosphere and brilliant Monday night quiz

Great wee pub, great night out. when bartender Ross was able to fight through the crowds of women throwing themselves at him, his service was almost as exceptional as his rugged good looks.

I found this place by accident, alas a great hangout place with a friendly atmosphere. I would definitely come back with my pals when they come visit.

Nice pub with a small menu, it felt like there were 15 screens here, each one showing a different sport, but this is because the English are betting crazy.

Very nice place to eat and to grab a drink. The breakfast is very abundant for the price compared to other places here you get really good value for your money. The place is big enough to find a table without having to wait (at least in summer when there was no classes for the nearby universities).

Good drinks, the food was okay but not wouldn't eat here again.

Nice pub located just outside the centre. The beers are good. The food disappointed us. As you can see from the photos the meat was dry, ditto the chicken and everything else. The chips and mashed potatoes gave the impression of being reheated. Average prices.

Bartender Ross has eyes so deep you could get lost for years. I spend two weeks in this pub just thinking about him. 10/10

Came to the howgait for an afternoon drink the staff were super friendly and made me the best Margarita! The staff Robert, Courtney, fiona and Michael made the night.

After five years drinking n here I never be back. One I was not abusive I work in security. So I'm not the type . I told him for being rude demanding me to Leave, the price of a pint is also shocking, n yet u give discounts to others that don't even work.. I WILL BEVER BE BACK . TO A PUB THAT ALLOWS STAFF TO BE RUDE TOWARDS CUSTOMERS N DONT SERVE THEM FOR NO REASON GIVEN

Amazing food with a great atmosphere. The staff are amazing I was served by a young lass called Courtney she was very polite and extremely knowledgeable this was a massive help as it was my first time up that way.

Visited this pub for a lunch today. I ordered the Cajun chicken pasta and it was horrible. The boy serving was nice and very helpful but I was shocked at how vile the meal was for all involved. We had also waited about 45mins - an hour for the food to actually come. I took my meal back within about 10 mins of it coming out and had only ate the chicken on top. Safe to say we won’t be back.

Was in the other day passing by and popped in for a wee cup of tea and was served by the fantastic Adam and was also talking to the manager Fiona again fantastic very cozy wee pub reminds me of mine keep it up guys and lovely meeting yous 😊

Robert introduced me to this lively and lovely 😉 venue and the experience was a pleasure all round. Drinks were excellent and the highlight was Owen (sadly no longer with us ) outstanding pub quiz. His charisma and ability to play to a crowd carried the the night and I can’t wait to come again soon! His replacement Alfie has brought it back with good humour and barrels of laughs!

Never met such miserable service staff in all my life! The one bonus is the food is half decent for the price! But the bar staff seriously need to cheer up! Shocking service!!!!!

Sorry for such a poor post, however, that has got to be the worst meal I have ever TRIED to eat. Firstly the starter was served at the same time as the mains and when quizzing the server about it he shrugged his shoulders and said that's how the kitchen served it up!! The scampi was edible although there was only 6 or 7 pieces of MICROWAVED scampi the burger was also MICROWAVED as the meat was like mush. Sorry but never again will I step foot in there. Originally the howegate was called the Lee and the meals where decent.

So fun, so homey, great events. Ross and Riley know what they're doing, they will be in my vespers and death bed confession because i did meet BEASTS (at their job). The kitchen reeks saccharine opulence.

Splendid abode, with mystical drinks and offers. Staff are great, in particular Ross and Riley with their exceptional service. A delight in Glasgow with much to behold. Brilliant !!!
