Called the restaurant, told me to send the photos and the videos and they would call me back, now they are ignoring me! A long hair in my chow mein! Disgusting!

I have been going to HotWok for over 10 years now. Never an issue with the food, always hot, cooked well and has great flavour. I do not live near the takeaway but because of their food quality and service I am happy to drive the 12 mile round trip. The staff are always friendly, anyone who thinks they are not it's because they are always busy so that could be seen as being not so. I will keep coming back!

Out of the Chinese restaurants, this has to be the worst. Delivered wrong orders, refuses exchanges. Rude services on the phone, being told it is not their fault for the wrong order. Greasy and no taste in the noodles, over cooked rice (that was the wrong order) Prawns under cooked. I couldn't finish my meal, because I was worried of food poisoning, as my stomach did not feel good afterwards. And being told one price over the phone, then given a higher price when delivered by the door. There is a reason why the prices are cheap, is because their food is poorly. I highly and strongly feel this place needs to be inspected, and the manager needs to observe, taste food regularly, and write progress reports on their employees. It has completely put me off from ever ordering from them again.

After months of being on a diet I decided to treat myself to Chinese. This was the worst meal I have ever had. Very greasy, chicken was like rubber and it had a funny smell. The chilli chicken was disgusting, inedible. I have been up vomiting all night. This has put me off Chinese food for life. Good for the diet I suppose

This Chinese is lovely. It's always so good. The lady that owns the place is so nice all the time. They always give good service and all the food is delicious. Well worth a try as it is hard to find a good Chinese!

This Chinese is horrendous, my satay chicken was completely raw I sent it back, the food was really greasy and we were all up being sick and had diarreoh that night. I called the restaurant in the morning they refused to give me money back or apologise. Such poor service will never eat there again.

By far the best chinese take away we have found in the area. Price isn't too bad and the delivery times are very quick too.

I have ordered from this Chinese takeaway numerous times. The food is good, better than others. Never have had any problems. However I guess there are so many Chinese restaurants these days; it is difficult to be objective, differentiate one from the other or just to really get excited about a Chinese takeaway. There are others in the area that I would not recommend so on that basis Hot Wok is worth a try.

Average all round, not bad but not great. Some of the food was a bit dry (satay chicken & the crispy duck) & quite salty. Service was slow despite it not being busy. Perfectly exible but certainly didnt blow us away. £75 for two, two starters, 1/4 duck & a main with some veg, two house wines. Which I would say is averagely priced.
