Amazing place. Gorgeous food and friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble. The service is what is a winner and the food a bonus. Will be back.

Had a full English breakfast with black pudding @ £14.50. 2 bacon overcooked with burnt edges, 1 sausage brown on one side, pale on the other, 1 fried egg overcooked, 1 hash brown cremated, beans mainly sauce, fried bread, was expecting toast. The tomato and mushrooms were fine. The service was fine. Overall pretty poor in a very competitive market. I won't be returning.

We stopped here randomly for a quick coffee. Stayed an hour. The staff are very friendly. The aesthetic inside is lovely….. very modern but cosy. Only had a coffee (which was very nice) but the food menu looked that nice we are planning on returning in the morning for breakfast. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Lovely staff and the cakes were to die for. The tiffin was so good, I bought extra to take home. Excellent coffee, served with water on a wooden board. Nice clean toilet facility. Worth a visit.

I must not come here too often otherwise I will get really fat. Staff are lovely and attentive, I really like the fella who's always upstairs, I think his future wife will be very happy. Food here is gorgeous, I feel like a pig whenever I eat here. Beef sandwich was so tender and juicy with lots of flavour, I gobbled the whole thing in seconds. Now I want another! Keep me away from kitchen. Coffee here is nice but I also like their cold drink range, unique fruit selection. Really nice cafe environment, comfortable warm interior. Dropped in for lunch on Thursday, 28 March, amazing burger and mushroom on toast with 2 soft drinks.... Great food and exceptional service, such lovely people. Took our little dog as well, no bother... we will visit again.

My partner took me here for lunch and all I can really say is WOW. We were very lucky to be seated in peak time (bare in mind this place is popular, so allow extra time to be seated during lunch rush) and we had one of the best meals I’ve ever had in Pocklington. We were assisted by Joe, who gave us the upmost care and attention throughout our entire meal. The staff are very friendly and more than happy to chat with you. I opted for the Black Pudding with dauphinoise potato and duck egg, and it did not disappoint! The meal arrived hot and perfectly presented, and the wild garlic emulsion was divine. The atmosphere is buzzy, with great views of Pock’s Main Street and the Church from the windows. Fab food, fab service, and fab location. I cannot recommend the Hide enough!

Pleasant and nice atmosphere in cafe . Fairly quiet on our visit. Good coffee and lovely scone. Nowhere service was slow on ordering and items arriving at the table. Did have to go up to counter and then someone came over then to take order. Staff friendly.

Myself and my two daughters went on Sunday 25th February for brunch … what a perfect way to spend a Sunday … we had the most wonderful time thanks to the lovely young man that served us unfortunately we did not take note of his name … polite, friendly and such fun he made our visit perfect … the food and atmosphere are simply the best in Pocklington, thanks so much

Hats off to the folks at this little wonderspot, they've nailed it. The Avocado on toast is the best I've had, my partners breakfast was the same. The service was second to none. My partner was having a meltdown having forgotten his cufflinks for a wedding and our server offered to loan him his. I think he was serious. I wish we lived closer as we would be regulars. Wonderful place.

My son and daughter in law are regulars at The Hide but this was our first visit. The place is lovely, as is the food but we were very disappointed to have to wait over 30 minutes to have our order taken and then another 20 minutes to receive our drinks and cakes. Especially as we were sat in full view of the counter but seemed to be forgotten ( we saw other customers being served before us). There didn't seem to be any priority of who had been waiting longest. I appreciate that you were very busy but 50 minutes to be served is much too long.

We popped in after hearing great things and was not disappointed. Food was amazing, risotto and duck salad, and staff were welcoming and attentive. Took some cake to go which was a welcome treat when we got home. Would highly recommend

Average, pricing is on the high side for the menu and level of food quality. Food was fine, service was lacking; long time to order, forgot cutlery, forgot table water, food needs seasoning. Feels more style over substance.

I have been many times to this small, friendly cafe/restaurant (local to me) but I enjoyed a very special day there yesterday with friends from out of the area. Not only did The Hide accommodate us cheerfully (a relatively large group at a busy time of day) but with friendly and efficient service they also provided exceptional and imaginative food, leaving me proud of being able to offer such an exceptional experience locally.
