Friendly neighbourhood pub - good selection of beers and have started doing good food again! Outside area is great on a warm day - generally tends to be a good atmosphere.

As local residents, we thought we would try out the Haverstock Tavern rather than our usual pub for Sunday lunch. Upon arrival there was literally no staff apart from an extremely busy lady working behind the bar as well as serving the food. When we eventually got our table it was dirty and needed to be cleaned. Had to wait ages to order at the bar then when the food came it was served in dessert bowls because they had run out of plates!! The food itself was tasty but the portion sizes were ridiculous. 2 tiny potatoes, a tiny portion of cauliflower to share between 3 people and the smallest gravy boat ever - again to share between 3. The friendly atmosphere was nice and the availability of Sunday papers is always welcome but come on guys, hire some staff, make an effort to be friendly and don’t take the proverbial when charging £22 for a roast dinner!

Nice location on the hill outside Camden. Stumbled across here by chance. Pricey for a roast at around £22 a head but thought it worth a try. Vegetarian option best in my book and I'm a meat eater. It was nice. Cauliflower cheese tasty too. Lamb was a total let down. Alot of fat and gristle. Not appetising at all. Yorkshire puddings overdone. Potatoes nice if odd one burnt. I like this place and atmosphere very pleasant but quality needs to be better for what they're charging. Otherwise left underwhelmed.

Came to London for game, and in search of fish and chips. Was not disappointed. Fish was great and chips were off the chain. Nice ambiance also!

Frankly I'd gone to Haverstock Hill to relive a spot where I hung out back in 1969, The Sir Richard Steele Pub just across the street. Sadly it is reported as permanently closed. Just across the street is the Haverstock Tavern. On my most recent visit to London on my last night the Jake Gross Quartet was appearing. This actually turned out to be the highlight of my 2 week trip. The food is quite good but the music was tremendous. I particularly appreciated their rendition of the Johnny Hodges (Duke Ellington) classic, Isfahan.

Sunday lunch was very enjoyable. Super Virgin Mary coupled with tasty beef, good roasties and hot horseradish sauce, made for a lovely roast. Deserves to do well.

It's a nice looking, friendly, well stocked pub. The beer is excellent, on our visit, three quality cask beers, several interesting keg. Keg included two from Siren, a couple from Two Tribes, Tiny Rebel etc.

With all the problems that the hospitality business is having to weather, it is great to see a fairly recently reopened pub stick to its philosophy of great beer and wine, delicious food, staff who know their stuff, and a really friendly atmosphere. It’s what a great pub should be, and the Haverstock does it. Well done.

Excellent lunch - menu had good choices - wine selection was also good. However, one problem was that staff (Host and then waitress) did not wear face coverings - this bothered me - I intend to return as otherwise it was very nice, particularly as the garden is quite spacious

Visiting London for a few nights and staying near by. I did a little research and found this lovely pub, I love to support independents and this one didn’t fault. The menu isn’t huge so there isn’t massive variety but the quality and flavour of the food makes up for that. The lady Helen who I presume is the landlady was really lovely and you can tell she cares about this place and what is being served. We enjoyed it all and would of loved to of tried out a wide variety of the the beers they have to offer but with having the kids with us we didn’t get the chance. If you want a nice cosy and friendly atmosphere and tasty food and beer this is the place. Thanks again! And we wish you all the success 😊

£12.75 for two pints of juice and a chicken burger. Ate it outside in the sun (it was delicious!) and was served by a lovely woman. Also spoke to the landlord and he was very warm and fun. Interesting decor - a load of unique posters. Nice furniture and a traditional exterior - nice old pub feel. Will be back again for more low cost food and drinks! Great place 👍

Week one of lockdown lifting and we wanted to try out the newly refurbished Haverstock Tavern (we were away when it reopened at the end of last year). What a great surprise! We sat in the sunshine in their beautifully replanted garden, tables all well spaced. It was quite quiet so we ordered our drinks as we came in and grabbed a menu intending just to get a snack as were meant too having lunch at home. But we couldn't resist the sticky pork belly and the scotch egg - boht yummy and so filling we didn't need any lunch. The manager confirmed all food is made on site unlike many local hostelries where they buy in from large pub caterers. It really shows! The menu is small and simple but everything looks appetising. I shall certainly be supporting this local venue and advise other to do so as well.

We’ve been here a few times since it reopened. The beer and wine are excellent and the staff friendly and knowledgeable. They’ve now got the food offer up and running - the cheese and charcuterie boards are really good. Looking forward to our next visit.

Opened last year or early this year..very pleasant and airy bar / cafe, which if you're arriving early for a meeting or finishing early, is a nice place to chew over the errors in your recent ritual meeting! As usual in London all a bit pricey but very convenient after a meeting in the Temples. Very bright and tastefully decorated with the usual good staff.

We loved our lunch at Carrots and Daikon yesterday. I had the garlic tofu Banh mi and my husband had the tofu lunch box. The baguette forming my Banh mi was the perfect combination of crunch with a soft centre and the tofu was nicely garlicky. What really made our day were the ice creams! The chrysanthemum and mango ice cream was such a fantastic combination and the matcha and pistachio was delicious too. We then bought one of each of the other flavours and I must admit that the combinations are creative genius! Who would’ve thought that mint choc chip would go with coffee and raspberry and jasmine tea with its floral notes would hit the spot?! I thought that the coconut and lemongrass was super refreshing too. Thank you to the friendly folk at C & D.

It was my favorite place to have the typical English breakfast, but it has lost a lot in recent years. The food and ingredients are correct (somewhat bland) when before it was delicious. It is a place absolutely opposite to those for tourists, extremely simple and, I think, without a toilet. The girl who served us was friendly. The manager or owner, not so much, apart from wanting to charge us £4 more. Correct and economical option if you are there, in short.
