The Hare is closed and looking for a new manager

Fairly basic interior. Show sport on TVs. Poor selection of beers but have the usual lagers and other stuff. Decent garden our back and there is a small car park available. They do food but I have not tried it.

The after funeral buffet was excellent 25th January 2024. Staff very good. Small pub but worth a visit. Would like to visit again.

Went to the quiz night was good fun but we came last we had a giggle didnt eat but food looks delicious

Been many times for a Sunday Roast, this time we order a pick up takeaway. I had Pork wife had vegetarian, brilliant flavour and filling great value for money.

We just moved to L Buzzard a few weeks ago & thought we would book the Hare Inn for Sunday lunch as we’d heard great things from my inlaws & friends. To say it was incredible 🔥 is an understatement, words can’t express how awesome our 1st visit was today. All 4 of us decided to try their Sunday roast & some desserts, they were all DELICIOUS 👌🏻 the quality of the food was amazing 🔥 service was impeccable as well. My wife is GF, Naomi & the team went above & beyond for her with gluten free options Sunday roast followed by a brilliant GF dessert!!! 5 STARS all round from us 🙌🏻 A brilliant afternoon in our new local family run pub, epic food ✅ epic service by such a lovely kind family who clearly work extremely hard ✅ & an epic atmosphere. Had gone out for a Sunday drive and found myself in the Linslade area and starving hungry. Googled for food and found The Hare, called them to check first & a short drive and a couple of Hellos later I was sitting with a beautiful Sunday lunch in front of me, just what was required. Everything tasted like fresh from the oven and was more than plentiful, I'm a great meat fan and there was more than plenty of well cooked pork, a whole dish of Apple Sauce, 3 veg + roast potatoes, Y Puds etc. My partner was smiling at me as she understood my need at that time and I was silent while I ate the gorgeous plateful. It was probably the same price as a famous Sunday carvery but way superior to anything they have ever served, very hospitable hosts, if I'm out driving around on a Sunday again the car may well steer itself towards the area to partake again!!

My family came here for my stepdads birthday, the pub is lovely, the garden is lovely and the location is perfect. However, I can’t lie, the service is absolutely disgraceful, the owner is absolutely horrendous in terms of customer service. There must have been about 30/40 of us here from around 3PM until 7:30/8PM, not one person cleared our glasses or bothered to check on us, we had to do this ourselves, and the owner, I’m really embarrassed on her behalf, was actually moaning and kicking off because kids were going to the toilet without their parents, maybe she isn’t used to kids being self sufficient what an absolute vile owner, we must have spent about a grand collectively and we never, ever ever EVER will again. The whole of Leighton buzzard slags this place off and now we know why. Awful awful awful management, so unbelievably awful. This is no reflection on the bar staff who were great, but just the management who very very very clearly wanted a specific clientele who would put money behind the bar. We will not be returning, it’s comical in fact.. surely you must Do better. When we clearing our own tables, we counted 117 glasses that didn’t get Cleared, thanks NOT. I won’t attach a picture to this review unless you want me To, I don’t think it needs to be any more embarrassing than it already is for yourselves Take care, thanks

Went for a roast on Easter Sunday, great atmosphere, fantastic food and service. Will certainly be going again.

Visited for a friends wake. The food was spot on. A very good selection of high quality with lots of choice. Friendly bar staff who looked after everyone well.

Super friendly pub that does morning coffee and lunches. Also have quiz or bingo evenings most weeks and do loads for charities.

A nice place for meeting up with friends and chat.

The Hare serves a huge traditional roast Sunday lunch - you won't go hungry here! Best to book, as it can get very busy.

Nice small pub with an open fire for the cold days. One corner is informally dedicated to veterans to engage with each other and the owners also support mental health of veterans.

Great little pub. Excellent jukebox. Looking forward to trying out the beer garden in the summer.

Visited Christmas Eve with my some of my family, great atmosphere most enjoyable.

As a couple we went for a Sunday Roast, we’ve hade many of them and are never disappointed. I had Lamb and wife had asparagus parcel, the vegetables were fresh and very tasty.

Had Sunday lunch here 30.10.2, first class service and great food. Very friendly pup. Will call again for further food.

Lovely pub. Very clean. Frequented by locals who are very friendly. It's also dog friendly which is quite nice. Can also watch some footie as well. Well on its way to becoming my local. Warm, cosy and welcoming is probably the best way I can describe it.

Fantastic Sunday Roast, had beef and wife had vegetarian, great value for money! We’ve been many times and never been disappointed. I have had the beef, lamb, pork, turkey and chicken. All been fantastic!

Having been out for a spin on Easter Sunday we stopped here for a roast about 3.30pm ......so glad we did it was the best roast dinner ive had ina pub in a long time ......all fresh and cooked perfectly staff lovely and friendly and service was very prompt .would definitely come back !!

I have been visiting this pub all my life, from childhood buying sweets and pop 'til now - my 60s. It still manages to be a proper local with great staff and an excellent selection of drinks. I'm now in my seventies, I don't get in there as often as I would like to having left the area but it's still the same lovable local with good beers, friendly and helpful staff and a great landlord.

O wow great pub hospitality was fantastic, staff and owners were excellent very friendly for pets and children locals were very friendly the food was outstanding. I will be returning when I'm back in area visiting family.

Wife veggie so has that option every time and always been very good, separate veggie gravy sit down or take away. I have tried all meats/poultry options cannot complain at all.

We turned up last month on a Saturday evening for something to eat and they had live music on. The music was so stupidly loud we couldn't hear ourselves talk and we left right away .... pity the neighbours!

Moved here a few months ago and really hoped we could find a friendly, welcoming pub that we could call our new local. The Hare ticked all the boxes! Wonderful, friendly owners and staff, and good choice of drinks. And you know how your Mum makes the best roast dinner? Well, welcome to a VERY close second!!!

Great value for money food, hade quite a few Sunday roasts, have tried all the meats and wife’s vegetarian always very good with vegetarian gravy. Order on phone during lockdown and pick up in very practical plastic packaging to keep warm for return home.

I really wanted to like this pub as we are locals. Unfortunately the service at this pub lacked warmth or anything that would make me want to make this pub my local. The Sunday roast was average, no better than what I could cook for myself at home. Unlikely to visit again.

We arrived about 15 minutes before opening in the afternoon and were allowed to sit in the beer garden while we waited to meet someone with social distancing. The lady who came out to serve us was polite and fron the outside The Hare was applying social distancing rules as required. I appreciate we were the only ones there but I would have felt safe in a busy evening crowd.

Had to sit outside due to covid regulations. Service good but app ordering is long winded and doesn't save details. Luckily we only had 3 drinks, would be interesting to see how people got on with app after 3 or 4 drinks! Had to chase one order as bar staff busy on mobile!

Great food, great app to order drinks, gazebos in garden on most tables and all social distanced. Only thing that's needed is a way to open the toilet doors without using the handles.

Lovely pub and Sunday lunch. Great and friendly staff. Would of left 5 stars. But they only had one pudding as a choice. Also when the pudding came out for the others. It was stone cold.

Went to the HAREFEST here in aid of the Armed Forces which is a cause close to our hearts. Jim the proprietor does a lot for the Armed Forces so should be highly commended! The event was packed over the 3 days and was very well run. Band's played, food available and a good atmosphere. Lots of money was raised for our boys too. Excellent venue. Well done Jim.

They sell some fantastic cask ale. Well worth the visit.
