The Hare & Five Hounds Hotel in Sandwell

My experience at Lucarelli Inn & Restaurant was overall very positive. The rooms are comfortable and well-maintained (9/10), with impeccable cleanliness (10/10). The comfort level is excellent, perfect for resting, and the place itself is beautiful and peaceful. There were a few minor inconveniences: upon arrival, there weren’t clear signs on how to enter—the access is through the side and across the patio, which can be confusing for first-time visitors. Also, with temperatures around 5°C, I couldn’t get the heater to work and there was only one blanket available, which slightly impacted my stay. I ended up paying £70 for the night because I was told there was no availability through the app (where it showed £58), even though the website indicated rooms were still available. Regardless, it remains the most affordable option in the area. Would I return? Yes. Despite the small issues, the comfort and service make it worth it.

Had Christmas Dinner here with my little girl it was absolutly perfect. Food was great, Service fantastic. Was a lovely christmas day for us. The only slight downfall was we were sat outside of the main restaurant (still inside) in the foyer and the sun was out in full force which gave my 5 year old a headache. Would recommend something to Try and provide a shade from the sun maybe? Still we loved it. See you soon.

Excellent food and friendly Italian staff Great experience

Used to be better. Used to do Queen scallops, but just the normal size ones now. Cocktails are very nice.

I did not use the hotel facilities but the food service was top notch .. Efficient staff and no waiting time for the food..which was also top notch!...Not the easiest venue to find but once found it was worth the trip... Very busy..loved the Pods where groups could gather..Our area had a plastic covering which created a marquee atmosphere...very clever and intimate...I would recommend this venue to all!

This restaurant never fails with food and service. I have visited a few times now and everything is always on point. I came to attend a birthday celebration lunch for a colleague and the staff were very helpful and attentive throughout our visit and bringing out the cake etc. Our dishes were beautifully presented. I had the carbonate with a side of spinach which was lovely, full of flavour! My colleague was vegetarian and really enjoyed her pasta dish with aubergines. The mocktails were amazing and a nice touch to our meal. The car park is a good size which helps. Thank you Lucarrelli.. I'll be back! ☺️

Not the experience I'm used food wasn't presented the way it normally is or of the standard i would normally expect. The owner did all he could to fix the issue, which I am grateful for.

Passed my Medical exam (PACES) in Sandwell Hospital after a good night’s sleep in this hotel. Peaceful and quiet after the restaurant closes at 11pm. Clean room and bathroom. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting the area.
