A frequent visitor now lovely food, service, staff. Wanted to try the Sunday roasts and we did! Every other dish met the expectations three course but for the chicken one. Dog menu - great to have but was hoping for fresh not kibbles predominantly for that price so was a disappointment. It is pricey depending on what all you opt for. Ours came to around £200 for 4 adults 1 child 1 pooch. Had a lovely time and see you again.

The food was so amazing. I loved the service from all the servers. The waiting time wasn’t long at all. I would recommend the lamb shanks as they are so tasty. Been here once or twice before, food is consistently good. Service also good. Cheese soufflé is a delicious starter. Good range of drinks inc non alcoholic and mocktails. A bit expensive if eating á la carte rather than set menu or deals but worth it for the quality and experience. Dog friendly (which may or may not be good, you decide!)

We recently celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary at The Hare, having carefully selected this venue after comparing it to several others in the area and beyond. There were 26 of us and 1 child. In order to achieve the best possible event, we were in close contact with the manager, Sameer Shrestha, who was really helpful and was, in fact, on duty on the actual day. As the weather was so good, the doors to the garden were opened for us so that our guests could be greeted outside while sipping a glass of prosecco. When lunch was ready we moved inside. The tables had been arranged, as we had agreed, in a separate section of the restaurant and there was a table plan which indicated the name of the guest and their chosen menu. Every single person who attended told us how excellent their choice of food was and how helpful the serving staff -- particularly Bonny -- had been. I am still getting emails and phone calls about both the food and the running of the event itself. Lovely pub surrounded by the woods. Restaurant and bar with lots of parking space. Cozy atmosphere. They have a happy hour with a long list of great cocktails. They're serving a very delicious sirloin steak, among many other great dishes. I recommend trying it.

Gorgeous beer garden with great vegetarian and vegan options, and an extensive wine list.

It was a wonderful evening, we very much enjoyed it. The service was excellent . We had Leo, who was looking after us. He was great such a friendly service. When he realised my son was blind, he kneeled near him and read and explained the menu to him with patience, such a great personality, never happened before. Leo you are the best. We will come back

Slow service. Even forget to take our dishes away after walking past numerous times. Then forgot our main course and had to mention it. Shame as heard for good things before but seems to have down hill.

I have been coming to The Hare for over five years, and it never disappoints. I absolutely love the steak here — it’s always cooked to perfection, exactly how I like it, every single time. The manager is very attentive as well, making sure that every guest has a wonderful experience. Every visit feels special, and I always leave happy. One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. A dog barked nonstop throughout the meal, ruining everyone’s evening. Despite multiple complaints, the manager refused to intervene, claiming they ‘couldn’t do anything’—even though the dog was clearly disturbing all customers. No apology, no solution, just indifference. Awful service and a complete lack of care for guests’ comfort. Avoid if you value peace or decent customer service.

Celebrating Family birthday saturday 29th March 2025 Our large group of 15. Bonnie our Waiter was excellent. Drinks served very quickly, Excellent Food , Service friendly. Very Impressive. Wonderful Spring new Menu . From booking and speaking with the Manager, due to added late guests, the Manager was courteous and worked his magic for a very happy successful , memorable evening at The Hare Restaurant 10/10. I had a lovely meal at the hare. The food was amazing and all the staff were very friendly and attentive including the bartender who didn't fail to make us laugh. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone I know.

Probably the worst steak I’ve ever had in my life. The weirdest thing about it was 3 of us ordered steak 1 of us got fillet. Actually don’t know what the other two bits of crap was. Staff were amazing though shame about the shit food they decided to serve on my mums birthday

Deeply shocked by the very rude bartender's behavior. Resentful, rude, unprofessional. Shame on him! I haven't experienced such low level of hospitality for a long time. What a nightmare place! Avoid this pub at any cost!

Sweet little pub, great ambience. We were served by Juvail, lovely chap, kind and polite, made us feel right at home.

You have to order at the bar. I did this and as I walked away with a card receipt only, I thought the bill seemed high, so went back and asked for a full receipt. The person made some excuse and apologised they over charged me (still didn’t show me what they charged for) and gave me a new bill at a lower amount. Something funny going on here, so I’d advise to check your bill.

I had a booking for a party of 18 people for my daughter’s 1st birthday. We all had a brilliant time. We ordered from the party Sunday roast menu. All the food was great. Our server Bonny was so helpful and accommodating. He made our experience excellent! Thank you

I went yesterday to the Hare pub with friends. The food was very nice and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. The service was quick and easy to talk to staff. I really enjoyed the food and hospitality. The starter, the mains and the desert was very delightful and delicious. I had no problem at all. But Andrea was very kind as well as helpful and any questions ask and she dealt with it confidently with a smile on her face. I would definitely come again for sure. Thank you.

Lovely place, spent Mother’s Day here with fam and the lamb & beef roast was splendid. Burger was good too. The desserts were a let down. The pistachio souffle was not up to par - more of a pistachio flavoured souffle. The sticky toffee pudding is always our go to dessert in pubs and this one was good but the creme fraiche which is sour is a big no no. I love the berry burst mocktail though, it was so refreshing! We had a very good attendant. He was very nice, friendly and attentive. Would have given 5 stars but the guy handling the reservation and till was a bit rude and grumpy. Overall, its ok.

My husband and I had a fabulous meal at The Hare last night, in fact it was one of the best meals we have had in a long while, the Souffle was AMAZING! The service was great and it's a really lovely venue. We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed an excellent meal - we particularly liked the pistachio souffle. Not something you would usually get in a pub restaurant and was really endulgent. Would recommend booking a table in advance as it was very busy - a good sign it is a popular place!

Sadly this local gem is no longer performing. The food is sadly underwhelming. The Large Souffle remains the best offering on the menu and was, indeed, large. However, the Steak and Ale pie requires and magnifying glass to see it. The tiny pie was more pastry than filling. Food was cold and any vegetables were overcooked. Portions small. Spirits were served with mixers added despite us asking for them on the side. We were obliged to order another shot so as to taste the drink. More profit but less customer satisfaction. If you run a bar then the barman needs to listen and understand. I can't recommend the Hare in its current form, sadly.

We really enjoyed our food, both the steak and cheese soufflé were yummy. The steak was done exactly as asked. We were very well looked after by Leo and Tabish. Tabish has made us feel very welcome every time we have come to the pub. We look forward to seeing him when we come.

The menu is distinctly Gallic in persuasion, and fairly ambitious, I might add. The four of us who dined chose a varied selection of courses, and the execution was (nearly) flawless, so I should say "un travail bien fait!". The waitstaff were efficient and courteous, but I would in particular mention Tabish for his exemplary hospitality. I expect to return for another fine meal.

Although the food was excellent I wasn’t able to finish my portion of cheese soufflé and asked if I could have a take away container in order to avoid food wastage. I was told that it is not a take away restaurant and hence there was no containers available. Instead I was handed sheets of large foil paper to pack the food myself in the foil - which was not a nice experience being watched but other diners and had to sign a disclaimer form! This ruined the entire experience of what was otherwise a great evening. Surely the restaurant cannot be encouraging food waste in this day and age when everything is so expensive and the government is battling against food wastage in the hospitality and food industry.

Went thre after 8 years!!..Delighted to see under new management ( I think)...and delicious food!! ..would definitely recomend it and go back! Thank you!!

This is a wonderful establishment that I have frequented many times, and will continue to do so. We recently had our work Christmas lunch here. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Our group ended up staying for around four hours, as the atmosphere was so festive and welcoming. If I could add another star, I would! Happy New Year to all of the hard-working staff at The Hare!

Pheasant and venison sausage and mash was outstanding. My husband got beef burger , he said the patty was slightly dry. However we have been here several times now, food has always been great. Desserts are okay.

Excellent Sunday roast and cannot fault the service. Definitely recommended and will return again.

Everything was fantastic. The food exquisite, the service first rate and the atmosphere was welcoming.

I’ve been a regular visitor here and always been pretty happy with the food but last night I noticed a big drop in quality of the food and/or the cooking. Burgers way overcooked and the meat patty very dense. The chicken dish had way too much salt in it such that I can still feel the effects during the morning after. Generally the pub seems to have started sliding downhill and I hope this review will stimulate the owners to re-look at how they do things.

Just been to The Hare again for my birthday celebration , we were warmly greeted by the manager and Jackson and Leo and Erica are superb members of staff too, The food is superb but the staff are just exceptional and make every visit we have there , and we go regularly, a truly special occasion . A very special place to go and we love it !

This is the place to go for ambience and great food. The meat (pork ribeye) is tender and flavoursome and the dauphinoise divine! Great service too. I recommend!

A delightful menu and a great ambiance coupled with outstanding service made our Christmas eve lunch really memorable. We enjoyed the crab bites, onion soup, celeriac and beef with coconut rice but the star of the meal was the decadent chocolate dessert. A big thank you to Tabish for his attentive service throughout the meal and excellent recommendations. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Cosy warm pub. Christmas set meal was disappointing however, made to be too "fancy" - would have preferred a good traditional roast. Overall pleasant experience, nice staff.

Really nice country style pub, bit steep with prices but nice atmosphere.

The Owner (that is how this man described himself) came flying at me and my cute little dog, after I had put him on my lap and commanded me in a very rude manner to put the dog on the floor. My little furry friend has recently been diagnosed with a tumor and I wanted to treat him in which used to be a very dog friendly place and one of his favourites to go to. It is obvious that the owner and the people that were with him, don't really like, in fact, seem to have a strong dislike, if not hatred (that is how it came across) for dogs. I will never put a foot in that place again, the way I have been treated and spoken to, with quite a lot of hostility actually. The owner seems to just love the money and hates the important buddies of his customers. That man and his attitude does not gel with our English traditions. It's a shame when places like this lose their former beautiful traditional atmosphere because of people who refuse to fit in and just want what they want out of it.

We had lunch with two friends who had eaten here before. Lovely restaurant. Good menu and we went with the November menu. All three courses were delicious and we all enjoyed the food. One of our party needed gluten free food and there was good allergy advice from the server. Good service though our only gripe was that one if our friends ordered a coffee that was served in a glass with no handle which made it difficult to drink without wearing thick gloves. Why??

The best gastropub in Harrow by far. Great food, ambience and service. Vegetarian options are not an after thought. Also love that they have plenty of healthy options rather than fried and fast food. Having said that - must leave room for dessert!

Visited The Hare for a Sunday Roast - looked really busy so was hoping for a lovely meal. We were all really disappointed - the food was tasteless, cold and the portion size was much to be desired. For an adult meal only given 3 roast potatoes and 3 carrots and a tiny jug of gravy to share.. only after mentioning what a small portion these were did we get extra with the comments that they give small portions to avoid waste. Will not be returning.

My partner and I had an absolutely outstanding evening at The Hare. From start to finish, the experience was flawless. The food was simply exquisite—every dish we tried was exceptional. The Cheese Soufflé was light and delicious, the Crab Bon-Bons were perfectly crisp and flavourful, and the Pheasant Sausage and Pork Rib Eye were cooked to perfection. To top it all off, the Pistachio Soufflé was a delightful end to the meal. Our waiter, Vivek, truly elevated the experience. His knowledge of the menu and drinks was impressive, and he was incredibly attentive, personable, and full of humour, which made our evening even more enjoyable. It’s rare to come across service of this calibre. The Hare is definitely a place we’ll be returning to, and we highly recommend it for anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience.

Our second recent visit and on each occasion we were well treated and the food is excellent, Steak Wednesday is a good experience.

Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, enjoyed a lovely mid week celebratory dinner. Very reasonably priced dinner which included a bottle of wine, very happy overall.

I’ve heard this place is lovely for Sunday lunch but we went there for a Saturday dinner and wouldn’t be going back. Service was so slow despite not being busy, food was expensive and portions were absolutely tiny. Quality of food is decent but just overpriced and small. Spent almost 85 quid on two meals, one kids meal and one dessert only to be hungry leaving. Super disappointing. Won’t be back.

A lovely British Pub (more like a restauraunt in terms of quality) - with great food ! The cheese soufflé as a starter and the pistachio soufflé as dessert and everything in between was great! Service is exemplary especially our server Tabish - very attentive , great advice on the food selection and just made you feel at home ! Their garden is very lovely for a sunny day !
