Lovely place wee bit miserable with portions

Great night Good value and Very good service .

This was a very poor experience, with poor quality food and poor service. We'd booked last minute, and were looking forward to a nice meal on the last night of our long weekend away. What we got was mostly frozen ingredients - a Sunday roast where the only thing that didn't look like it came from Aunt Bessie was the honey roast ham (which was nice), and vegetable fajitas where the vegetables were... the same frozen mixed veg that came with the roast, rather than the peppers, onions and mushrooms you'd expect. Not to mention that I had to ask for the decidedly anaemic Yorkshire puddings that were supposed to be included with the Sunday roast. On top of that, the service was poor. I'd already ordered my apple crumble with the main course, and yet the table next to us received theirs before us despite ordering it afterwards. When I asked about my pudding, I still had to wait, and it was served with all the aplomb of pizza dough being slapped onto a kitchen surface. To add insult to injury, the bill came with a pint of Tennants and a lemonade that we hadn't ordered. It was duly corrected, but I can safely say that we won't be visiting the Golden Pheasant again.

The food was amazing, a very clean place I will definitely be back.

Nice meal. They have gluten-free batter, so we ordered a gluten-free fish and chips and a chicken katsu burger. Both were excellent. Didn't have desert as was full, but they have gluten-free sticky toffee pudding. It's worth a visit if you are coeliac.

Hidden gem just off the bypass to Kirkintilloch food is exceptional every time.

The staff were extremely friendly. Amy was our server this evening and was very attentive. The disabled access was very good in the restaurant with disabled toilets. No disabled toilets in the bar, however! food was lovely and will definitely be back.

Good to see the place so busy. Loved the touch of the scissors with the condiments, makes life easier! Good food, excellent service.

I absolutely love coming here, food is always to a high standard and you’re not left waiting too long for your food, staff are always incredibly nice and friendly. Would definitely recommend 10/10

Booked for wee mid week anniversary dinner. Haven't eaten here before and we were VERY impressed. Friendly staff, amazing food including seriously tasty salt and pepper chicken goujons, and a lovely atmosphere, busy but not overpowering or loud. Lovely, and we WILL be back.

I had a terrible experience at this pub. The service was incredibly slow, and the staff seemed disinterested in attending to customers. The atmosphere was dull and unwelcoming. The drinks were poorly made. To top it off, the cleanliness of the place left much to be desired. Overall, I would not recommend this pub to anyone looking for a pleasant night out.

Excellent pub grub at a reasonable price. Good selection on the menu and prompt, friendly service. Place was very quiet when we arrived before 6.00 pm so not much atmosphere but it was beginning to fill up by the time we left. Well worth a visit and we will be back.

Mothers day Lunch. Amazing place, we felt comfy and relaxed. The food was great. Staff were really nice too.

We had a great dinner here a couple of nights ago. 3 different main courses and each of us loved what we had. It was quiet, but staff very friendly and would definitely recommend.

We had my mum's 80th birthday lunch here and it was amazing. The food and service were exceptional and very reasonably priced. The staff are so attentive and polite and helped make the day very special! I highly recommend the Golden Pheasant for a wee family get together or to book for a special occasion. Went here for a pre mother's day meal. Service and food was great. Couldn't fault it. Also loved the chicken coop outside.

This is such a great place to come for a meal with family. They have an extensive menu so something for everyone, food is delicious and portion sizes were good, decent kids portions too. Empty plates all round! Staff friendly and attentive too. Will definitely be back soon!

I've been frequenting this establishment on a couple of Tuesdays. (2 for 1). My future wife and I thoroughly enjoy our meals. The burger is fantastic, very tasty. The mac and cheese is well priced and tasty. I will test the other meals when applicable. The girl that serves us is very nice and kind. Kind Regards

We've been here for dinner and lunches from time to time it's a very relaxed establishment with friendly helpful staff its that nice a place we decide to have our wedding reception there Scott the manager and his staff made our special day amazing the catering was absolutly perfect no complaint from any of our family / friends not an easy bunch to please but these guys pulled it off well done and thankyou once again Scott

The gentleman who welcomed us led us to the dining room as we hadn't spotted the dining room doors. We had entered through the bar. The dining room was spacious and comfortable. I did tw@t my head on the light above the table though so if you're clumsy and/or tall be careful. The young lady who served us was friendly, smiley and polite. She couldn't have been nicer. We had a little chat whilst I was paying the bill and she was so sweet. We ordered a coffee and a hot chocolate then chose toasted sandwiches and fries which were lovely with nicely sized portions. You can see into the kitchen as they make your food. Definitely worth a visit. The weather was rubbish when we visited, but I'm sure the spacious outdoor area would be lovely too.

This establishment is divided into two sections. One side is the bar, the other is the restaurant. The bar is a little noisy but it was a Friday night. So we came into the restaurant and found it to be a lovely place. Staff were really friendly, the meals were delicious and everything was really cheaply priced. If back up in Scotland my fiancé and I will definitely call in here again. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely late lunch at the Pheasant. Good fresh food, friendly service, easy access for disabled, possibility to sit inside or outside and good parking. We had absolutely nothing to complain about and would definitely recommend the Pheasant.

Have not visited in years. I was very impressed. We sat in the beautiful beer garden. Colourful flower tubs clean tables with parasols friendly staff good variety of food on menu. What's not to like will definitely be back soon 😁

Highly disappointed with lead bar staff totally unacceptable the way he conducted himself , not friendly reception & couldn't respond to our requirements , sad day for a location which was decent & looked after decent people, appalling service attitude was disgusting

A last minute decision led us here, we enjoyed a homely late lunch. Not the premises fault but the table next door, can have this.... Bless the 3 wee frees who someday soon may step out of the dark ages.

Went to see the singer,I was driving so I got a pint of lager shandy. Got stung for £3.90 for the pleasure. Not impressed.

We visited the Golden Pheasant a week ago and really enjoyed our time there. The staff were very accommodating and welcoming, giving me, my partner, baby (with pram), massive dog and elderly parents a quieter corner of the bar to settle into. They even had a dog-bed there for our big chap to lie on. We all ordered a main, my partner and I getting the fried fish. It was exceptionally well cooked; we frequent the Anstruther Fish Bar and thought the quality was equitable to this award-winning restaurant. The venue itself was a fairly ordinary village pub with basic tables and chairs, but we weren't looking for a restaurant; just a local, good quality wee place for an afternoon meal. The clientele busied themselves enjoying a Rangers match on the TV in the premises, but were themselves also very friendly, complimenting our dog and baby; one man even gave us £20 spontaneously for having a baby! Overall a good experience; we'll be periodically going back.

Good pub grub, with friendly and welcoming staff

The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming just like the staff. Friday night is steak night and it was incredible, portion sizes were large and the peppercorn sauce delightful, this will become a regular haunt on date night with my wife.

Been twice for the karaoke nights with Craig Johnstone. Both nights have been a blast. Bar staff are amazing and looked the part for Halloween 2021! 100% recommend coming here if you want a laugh and a good night!!

O It's a lovely place. Girl got our drinks wrong then we waited for 40 minutes to order our food I had to shout the Girl over. No one came to see if we wanted to order. The food was lovely but we were there for more than 2 hours. People who came in after us got served first and were away before we got our main course. It was our granddaughter's birthday. I was not impressed. Won't be back
