Worst chips and cheese I have ever had

The quintessence of the west of Scotland diet that has put a smile on so many faces over the years… a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the arteries. I had a simple bacon and egg roll and it was honestly as good as it gets. Keen to try the burger and chips next time.

Used to be regular at the golden grill. Haven't been in ages as living away but went back and it's as brilliant as always. Square sausages especially recommended..great chat from mark too. A top bloke. Don't miss it!

As usual the Golden Grill lived up to its reputation good quality freshly Cooked food. Took a pal of mine for the first time his reaction was best cheese burgers he has tasted that speaks for itself.

Cracking wee van, good food and a bit of banter too. Try a sausage and egg doubler with chilli, salt and pepper. Delicious!

I looked up “Best Burger in Glasgow” and this place came up on the list so decided to try it. Ordered a bacon double cheeseburger and it was tremendous ! Staff were very friendly and great value !

Found this little place on our drive and all I can say is wow. The staff are friendly, helpful and have good banter. The food is amazing. I was unsure what to have and was recommended the egg burger, it was amazing. Completely fresh, cooked right in front of me and the taste was brilliant. What a special wee find.

Been a while since we frequented this excellent eatery on the north side of Glasgow. Always excellent freshly made burgers and rolls while you wait. Not precooked as some vans do cooked to order. However if you phone in an order it will be ready when you arrive. Been using Thelma and Marks van for many years and never had a bad order yet. Prices are very reasonable and as low as possible compared to other places I have utilised over the years and always look forward to another visit

A great place, amazing food and spotlessly clean.The wee blonde Thelma and Christine have great patter and Mark, the street chef, reins them in.Music always great and the square sausage is the best, proper butchers stuff.The best and only snack van to go in Glasgow and definitely in the Whiteinch area (the other snackvans around it are terrible - don't even risk going to them).*Top tip - Sing a Bowie song to Thelma and get 10% off, if you dare!!!

Been coming here for 14 years and never disappoints, mark is a credit to the van and his mum is lovely.

The service was brilliant and the food was excellent and the way that Mark cooked the square sausage (butterflied the filling) meant that you had a complete filled roll. The girls serving were very pleasant and polite and kept Mark busy with incoming orders. I would thoroughly recommend this little outlet / business to any one who wants a quick bite to eat at a very reasonable price then the Golden Grill is the place to go. It appears to have their regulars as I used it 2 days running and the same clientele were there (maybe groundhog day???) but seriously a great wee eatery with all the great glesga patter. Keep up the good work folks.

Best place in glasgow to eat without question The burgers are cooked by a professional chef(mark) and is accompanied by great assistants.I highly recommend the egg burger with Parmesan cheese , it rivals burgers at top restaurants near by in glasgow city centre.Also one to watch out for is the special chilli burger , again it has an outstanding flavour and Will fill you up for the day ahead.Don’t hesitate or take a chance with other burger vans, I’ve had over 100 rolls here and never been served a poor one.

Easily here 2 or 3 times a week for my breakfast, best rolls and sausage in glasgow, or an unreal bacon cheeseburger for only £3.50. Just careful of Christine's loud mouth, lots of love from Reece x

Cada vez que viajo por el extremo oeste de Glasgow, siempre voy al Golden Grill en la calle sur para preparar un crujiente rollo de salchicha cuadrada con cebolla frita. Las salchichas y cebollas absolutamente brillantes, siempre frescas y de buena calidad también se cocinan frescas en lugar de sacadas de un Bain Marie.Ab fantástico - no lo pases.

Comí una salchicha cuadrada, un huevo y un bollo de bollo. ¡Incluso condimenté mi huevo con sal y pimienta y me ofrecí a reventar mi yema! Servicio superior para una furgoneta pequeña. Mi novio tenía morcilla y salchichas, e incluso tenían mayonesa, que él prefiere. Raciones muy generosas y la salchicha de bistec es como un tope de puerta. También nos dieron bolsas forradas para llevar nuestros rollos a casa, y después de diez minutos en coche todavía estaban asando calientes.

My husband frequents his lunch here as he just works around the corner so I thought I too would give it a whirl. I had a roll and sausage with egg and cheese. It was freshly cooked in front of me and was piping hot. The sausage alone is amazing! Great value for money and great customer service from Thelma!! Would recommend again and again!

stopped cause we were hungry and husband said that this snack bar we better than the other 1 near it. got 2 bacon and egg rolls first dat and got salt and pepper on mine best I've had for a long time bacon is not salty, stopped the next day and got same again and got coffee this time, coffee not to bad for a snack bar don't think that I have had better. would definitely be getting hubby to stop there again, and the folk serving are brill. even got a Lorne sausage for the dog

Sin duda el mejor aperitivo van en Glasgow. Yo y mis colegas de viaje de 15 minutos por día, pasando por muchas otras furgonetas/cafetería en el camino. El personal siempre es amable y el tamaño de las porciones y la calidad son de primera clase, diferente a cualquier otro en la zona de llevar. Las salchichas son dos veces más gruesas y dos veces tan sabroso como en ningún otro lugar, y los precios también son geniales. Recomiendo encarecidamente si en la zona de los alrededores y un aperitivo.

Used to go to this place regularly till I moved to Argyll. Lovely home made soup, good quality sausages, black pudding etc. and brilliant staff. As that was in the 1990s they deserve some congratulations for consistency too!! Will be back next time I am...
