Lovely lunch, lovely place, what more can I add?

beautiful place to go for lunch, especially when the sun is shining, a little on the expensive side but worth it as a treat

Can’t comment on the food etc , looked nice! Walked and never met such rude staff, they need to review and complete some customer service training. Went because it was highly recommended. Shame, cafe next door was lovely from the minute we walked in very welcoming and food excellent

Stunning gardens and food great. On a sunny day, it honestly feels like you're in Provence. I had their seafood salad. Tbh it had some great quality ingredients in it, but i would have prefered a stripped back pile, a warm ,succulent piece of fish and perhaps a hint of dill oil or something to take it to next level. Get me! Their fries were beautiful. I've travelled back a few times, so must be good. I think it's the posh punters that feel uneasy. Kids do not feel particularly welcome. Shame the wine shed wasn't open that day.

Very tasty food and welcoming staff, however the best part was the atmosphere and scenery. Absolutely stunning, both on the inside and out!! We fortunately visited on a warm sunny day and could sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. Even though we had lunch at 2, we stayed until 6 because it was just that lovely! :) Also, the matcha was perfect, not too sweet and was good quality, definitely recommend

This is a beautiful place set in fantastic gardens. Plenty of parking too. The restaurant is amazing. Full of plants and antiquities. The menu is varied and the food delicious.

Went yesterday with friends for lunch . Food was delicious and staff very attentive . Surroundings tranquil with lots of different things to look at . Popped in The Shed too for a nice bottle of wine. We will definitely be visiting again

Took my mum for her birthday this weekend with my sister and her kids - absolutely stunning setting, the food was delicious with big portions and service was amazing. It's a bit pricey but for special occasions it's not too bad and I'll be coming again.

Just had Saturday Tapas at the glass house, it certainly didn’t disappoint. Each dish is suitable for two people, if you are very Hungary you could have one to yourself but it’s ample for two of you. The food, service and atmosphere were second to none fantastic evening. I wish the glass house all the best for the future and to keep doing what you are doing. Thank you. Maria. Overly complicated sales process. We arrived about lunchtime and sat outside at a table. No reserved notice. Eventually staff member came over and told us table was reserved and offered a table in the glasshouse. Food was ok but very expensive for what you get. Pretentious. The table had a qr code to scan to pay, didn't work. Tip at door machine and till. Won't be back.

A stylish, interesting restaurant. Wholesome food with great service. Well worth a visit. Booking recommend, but not essential.

Excellent food good service and relaxed atmosphere

Went for lunch and had the roast beef sandwich. It came and was ok but not worth £19. Coffee and soft drinks £4.50 each. I understand prices have gone up but this is simply not worth the money. The service was poor and we kept getting dive bombed by a sparrow which had gotten inside.

Lovely afternoon lunch in sunshine, food in the main was brilliant, although a couple of people in our party found the chicken in their dishes slightly dry.

First visit here and though not the cheapest of places we did have some very tasty food. Nice atmosphere , lovely surroundings making it a relaxing and enjoyable setting. Maybe could do with more staff as we felt the service a little on the slow side but friendly and attentive non the less. Worth a visit that's for sure!

Lovely cafe to grab some lunch! It wasn't cheap but the food was so worth it, we both had pie of the day and it was so nice, also had a sneaky pudding too - homemade Bakewell tart and custard. Really nice surroundings and nice and warm on this cold and rainy February day. Really will be coming back asap!

The best food we’ve had in a long time! Five star service & ambience too, a real show stopper place to go for lunch with friends & family. We live local so will definitely be returning now we’ve found this hidden gem.

We very nearly didnt stop here for our late lunch today after reading the latest review. However, we did and we were delighted. The setting is stunning. Best coffee Ive had for a long time. On reading the menu food seemed to be expensive. £20 for their signature burger etc.even so 1 x Stydd burger fries, slaw, salad and 1 x hot chiabatta with chicken, brie, cranberry & stuffing with a jug of gravy chips & side salad. It was delicious. We struggled to finish and the quality was top notch. The square ciabatta was wonderful. Can't fault the location and Service was excellent."

How have I never heard about Glasshouse Cafe before? A northern version of Petersham Nurseries! A beautiful place to eat your lunch. We can’t wait to return in the summer.

Brilliant place but you'll need a sat nav to find it. We'll worth the effort as it's an unusual but interesting place with a very relaxing atmosphere.

We Will never return here again due to how rude and unwelcoming one particular member of staff was towards us. Unbelievably we were informed her partner owns the place. Just wow. Rude, I can't believe she is front of house. Clearly has zero hospitality training.

Beautiful venue but extremely rude staff, 3rd occasion this has happened now. Booked for brunch, hardly any food left on the menu (only told this whilst trying to order). Whilst trying to order, the waitress kept telling us to hurry up as they stop breakfast in 5 minutes (first time we were told!!) After 50 minutes, they told us (not asked) to finish up as the table was booked for lunch even though you get the table for 1hr30. As stated before, stunning restaurant but extremely rude and Ill mannered staff who think they are a cut above everyone else!!!

Lovely rustic setting. Loads of lovely sweeping plants in the restaurant. Service with a smile. The quality & presentation of the food excellent. We all had a different salad. The plates were loaded. We had goats cheese salad, spicy chicken salad & crispy beef salad. The sweets were also excellent & well presented. Relaxing atmosphere.

Loved the Food & staff very friendly, atmosphere & beautiful decorative plants as you dine. Little expensive but you pay for what you get l. Definitively would recommend a visit or two.

We decided to have a coffee at the glasshouse. The place was empty but was told by two young women we couldn't come in as they were only serving lunch and not coffee. I asked if I could use there bathroom but was told no. If we wanted coffee go to the other cafe on site and use there bathroom. Ok. Fair enough they where only serving lunch but we found the attitude of the staff rude and condescending. So glad we didn't get in there as we had an amazing coffee and ended up staying for afternoon tea in Always Cake....the other cafe on site. Amazing staff and lovely food, not a bit like the pretentious Glasshouse cafe.

Decent enough food but seriously overpriced.

Called today and enjoyed a super lunch . Thoroughly enjoyed a seafood platter and ceasar salad. Good service and reasonably priced.

The building and decor is delightful and twee. But it is still a large greenhouse and the acoustics are as such. The service was fine and also the food mostly was fine. The Vegetarian option is lazy and dull. It's pretention to being a quality restaurant is reflected only it's pricing.

There's a tea room here that does some outstanding cakes. The price is reasonable too.

A very chilled place, with excellent food and service. The greenhouse plants are amazing, I cannot wait for my next visit.

We went for a meal with our daughter and granddaughter. It is a lovely place. The service was excellent, and my choice of meal was perfect. It is certainly a good value for money. After our meal we went for a walk around the garden. Our granddaughter enjoyed walking around and chasing after her Granddad. She is nearly 2 years old. We had a very pleasant afternoon 😊

Simply the perfect little café to enjoy. Great food, lovely staff. I got the soup-of-the-day, coffee and cake which came to £13. I felt that was a little costly but then when you consider the costs involved with running the place, the decor, the staff, ingredients plus they do have to make a profit otherwise why are you in business 😅... it probably equals itself out.

A member of your staff is incredibly rude and after looking at your reviews, it seems I am not the only one who has had this terrible customer service. We waited to be seated for 10 minutes. Once we was finally seated, we was offered drinks, to which I asked if the orange juice was smooth. Despite the waitress informing me there was no bits, there was. I politely told her, to then be argued with over whether or not there was bits. Just rude. I ordered another drink, but the waitress was not very approachable, and just sighed and shook her head at me. Due to allergies, I requested a few items to be removed off my breakfast. Which at first seemed fine, until it was served to me as ‘the breakfast with nothing on it.’ The toast was inedible, my friend wasn’t even able to cut hers. Finally, as the waitress was clearing the plates, she dropped a knife on me and instead of apologising, commented ‘rather you than me.’ Dreadful service, I do not recommend. We travelled 45 minutes for this outing and was hugely disappointed with the experience as a whole.

Wow. Went here for the first time today for my partners birthday even though it’s local and I should have been ages ago! It’s amazing. Food is wonderful. Service is excellent and the grounds are beautiful. I really enjoyed the wine! 🍷🍷

Such a hidden little gem! It was beautiful, a unique little place..

I know that things are a lot more expensive than they used to be but the cheapest thing on the menu was a sandwich costing £14. The bread was lovely but the filling average. The surroundings are beautiful and I guess I am paying for that but it was noticeable that the small garden centre that used to be there is now not. Parking was like driving on a quad bike trail and it would also be difficult for wheelchair users but at least it was free. I don't think I will be visiting again.

They really shouldn't advertise themselves as gardens as there was only an area like a large back garden to see. It is mainly a place to eat and shop.

This place is a real quirky treat! We’ve been a few times, in different seasons and each time has been as spectacular as the last. I can’t fault it! Just love it!

Great food, large menu and stunning scenery. Front staff member seemed a little frosty but the waitresses were excellent. Very busy so had to sit outside but it was a lovely day so didn’t mind. A tad expensive but worth it.

Great location despite nearly all of the shops in the complex now empty. The staff here are very friendly and happy to help with any issues with a smile. As we judge most places by the cleanliness of the toilets, these are really stylish with quality hand-wash. There is no problem with the quality of the food at The Glasshouse...however, the prices are now getting seriously silly. £28 for a basic Pino Grigio is clearly outrageous. Coffee is also overpriced. And although the salads are super tasty and plentiful they have seen a big increase in price since our last visit. Two paninis, a bottle of wine and two coffees was £70. To charge that for what is basically a large sandwich on Italian bread has put us off returning.

I have been here several times for different occasions- I currently live in Liverpool and came here a few weeks ago with a hen party - the food was absolutely brilliant, as were the surroundings. If you’re looking for a cosy, yet chic place to drink delicious coffee and enjoy yummy food, this is the spot. The staff were friendly, thorough (especially given the size of our group) and their calmness made it a nice atmosphere. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, clean and everywhere you looked there was something fabulous to see, whether it was art, flowers, or something else. Would absolutely recommend.

This place is absolutely beautiful. Sadly we didn't get to eat here as it was so busy we should have booked. But, I could see the food and how many people were devouring into it and can say ill be back. The area was also so quaint and Ribchester in general is a beautiful village!

Booked our table days in advance and requested pram access for a newborn. When we arrived the front of house staff spent some time trying to figure out where we could be seated. We were then told to request pram access for future bookings, which we corrected them on. Front of house staff made our party feel unwelcoming and were not very friendly. There is no children's menu or sides options on the menu, so we had to pay for an adults meal for a 2yr old, which was hardly eaten and therefore felt my money was wasted. Food was lovely and enjoyed by all. We have visited the glasshouse numerous times and never had any issues so really disappointed in our most recent visit and we will think twice about visiting again in future, especially with a child.

A little gem, hidden in some beautiful surroundings. An eclectic mix of art and plants turns a large greenhouse into a fun and inviting dinning room. Food is varied, interesting, served beautifully and delicious. It's expensive, but not a greedy expensive as the food, the service and the surroundings command their levy fairly.

Second time here, beautiful place and surroundings unique. Food 1st class, quality ingredients, good variety on menu. Good size portions. Valve for money.
