The George Hotel in Isle of Anglesey

Popped in for a drink with friends after a walk. Lovely bar staff and a lovely beer garden. Would definitely recommend and I will be back soon! Thank you girls

This family run business has really adapted to the covid situation. Warm welcoming. Great selection of spirits especially the gin. Really do recommend this place it’s a great little place in a small town. The beer garden at the rear is a perfect place for a tan. The locals are friendly too. Summer is here , pop in, you won’t regret it

Looks ok from outside and not to bad on the inside for a town pub unfortunately was out with family and with the loadish music was a bit hard having a conversation. This being the 2nd pub we tried while in holyhead and again NO REAL ALE

Well i returned to Holyhead with my partner this time ...we booked into B&B; sadly not the George as they don't have this vacillity to stay ...Anyway we did go there for the evening to have a few drinks ,(still the same landlady there) There was a few people in as with it being a tuesday night there not a lot of people out ....we got a lovely friendly welcome ...by landlady ,staff and there customers ...Oh yes i would have liked food there again but we arrived too late ...Never mind i will got back next time to enjoy there food ...Can i just say that we did walk past a few other pubs and we only seen like 1 or 2 people in them ...I Am Glad its the same landlady there ...Please its worth a visit

I find it hard to relax in a pub but felt very at home in the George, The new owners are friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere had uplifted from the owners before. banter and lots of laughing. Children running around, parents relaxed. I've yet to try the food but I can honestly say I've found my local

Visit here often with friends, always get warm welcome of landlady and landlord, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Recently started doing food, can recommend the sunday roast. Look forward to sampling the rest of the menu

Popped in today as I heard the new owners had re opened the kitchen. I had Sunday lunch and my friend had fajitas. So so nice. Proper homemade and fresh food. My plate was packed full. Could not faul it one bit, it was extremely busy yet we got our food very fast, even seen about 20 meals going out for deliver. My Pint of guinness was probably one of the best I've tasted in a long time.Massive thanks and see you all again soon

Myself, my husband and children come to the pub quite often. Well, we only had the intention of coming in for a drink but found that they had starting serving food again this week with the new owners, so the first day was a hit. We all enjoyed our meal and had a good chat with the chap behind the bar(he was new landlord) good food and good customer service made us come back another 3 times for food this week. All homemade and fresh ill cooked to order. Would highly recommend and we will back again x :)

Took my son today for Sunday lunch,which he throughly enjoyed.Quick and friendly service, would definitely recommend . Will definitely be back.

Really hungry and it was raining heavily hence we tried this place! Menu on table but after waiting too long realised you had to go up and order food at bar!! Ordered one curry and omelette with cheese and onion! You could only have either cheese or onion not both!! We shared a bottle of white wine too. Food was delivered to table without comment. Terrible just awful curry was tasteless and omelette burnt. Will never return ever.

I was a visitor to the town .. and i needed the ladies , i walked into this pub and what a friendly clean pub ,i asked the young lady could i use the toilet , yes and directed me to them they were lovely and clean and a clean fresh smell not like some toilets i have been to ...i decided to have a drink while i was ther and got chatting to the lady serving behind the bar and it turned out that she was the new landlady along with her husband ..... i read a few reviews about this pub some not nice , this is what prompted me to write this as the new owners deserve praise ...well worth a visit ....

Una invitación para celebrar un cumpleaños. No suelo ir a pubs, pero eso no es el punto. Me paraba en el bar vacío para una buena nota en pocos minutos con mi mano esperando el barman para terminar hablando con una pareja que estaba sentado en el bar y esperé y esperé hasta que me di cuenta de que este tonto era en realidad tocando el tonto y aunque él no sabía yo de Adam probablemente pensó que él podría enseñarme a ignorar como cliente. La cosa es que yo trabajo con 50 hombres, sin piel de mi nariz. . Me senté con la cumpleañera y sustituye el dinero en mi cartera con el resumen de "Wow si te puedes permitir girar dinero. Como me llevaron a hablar con mi compañero me cuenta que este idiota había encendido de la televisión, que estaba en la pared junto a nosotros. Me dirigí a tomar y tomó nuestra chica de cumpleaños personalizadas en otro lado. Sugiero que la gente haga lo mismo.

Este pequeño y normalmente pub animado es justo centro de la ciudad. bang Que atrae a muchos visitantes a y desde Irlanda. El precio de las bebidas es un normal media, con el más barato en £2. lager 25. Muy bien presentado y limpio, un buen bar. No hay servicio de comida ofrece una variedad de aperitivos y bar. Una bastante empinadas pero pasos gratificantes a pie conduce a un jardín de cerveza muy agradable y soleada. Imprescindible para el aire fresco y vistas al puerto. Esto es muy bonito y que disfrute de esta visita.

Me pasó por encontrar un lugar para mi portátil y teléfono mientras espera por un ferry. La señora del bar era muy servicial y me llevó a un rincón tranquilo con un socket. Por desgracia, la selección de cerveza era extremadamente limitado, y no parecen...

Could have ruined our whole trip local nutter picked fight with seven of us for no reson staff asked us to take it outside what the hell.This nutter was not drinking and should be band staff need to look after paying customers.AVOID

Great pub when they have beer! Drinking for bottles isn't good! Really cheap! Get beer and I will return!!! :)

Reading some of these reviews have actually shocked me! This is by far the best pub around holyhead in fact anglesey really. Lovely bar staff and they will be re-opening there kitchen very soon so something to look forward too.

Did not finish my drink, bar staff have no manners! No please or thank you! Felt very unwelcome! Freezing cold in pub too, no heating! And the stink from toilets permeated the whole place!

We only popped in for a drink before going on to a restaurant but that was enough time to convince us it was not a place to frequent. The beer was OK, as was Mrs A's wine, but the staff did not appear willing to go out of their way for you. The atmosphere, however, did thaw a little with the help of a really friendly old gent on his ?th pint. But what really turned us off was the fact that, even seated on the opposite side of the room to the gents' toilet, the "aroma" of urinals was very noticeable. We were also slightly bemused by what appeared to be a children's play area in one corner of the bar ......

What might only be called a spit and sawdust establishment - as I was there on a cold January night I was greeted by the sight of a man sitting at the bar with no shirt, heavily tattooed. Oh well compared to Gleeson's it is a veritable font of culture!
