The Gasworks in Dungannon

We're do you start...... Problem No1*Ordered drinks waited near 20 min for them to arrive, mine was to be sparkling water and dash of lime, I got tap water and lime, watched the table in front of us leave over 60% of their food for some reason, there was a issue with them as they were bringing it up with the waitress while ours was TRYING to listen in while taking drinks order. Problem No2* watching the waitress clean tops of tables with flash BATHROOM cleaner! So anyone with expensive clothes beware of leaning on tables etc, bleach damage. Problem no3*food arrived at table but not a fork in sight, hubby ordered fish n chips no peas or sauce, they gave him fish with no chips, had to ask for his chips and the fish was dark dark brown on side up and black in parts other side as it was burnt! No4* plain cheese pizza for other guest with garlic chips, landed to table with pizza and garlic dip no chips for her either, No5* pil pil prawns already have plenty of oil to dip the artisan bread into, I got garlic bread and not dipping bread, No6*guest no 4 ordered chicken stack with mash not champ, brought hers out plastered in mushrooms and onion in the champ!! Iv never had as many issues in all my years of eating out, and the place was far from busy...... Younger waitress cleared our table and ask if all was okay, we brought up only a couple of issues.... Not even so much as a "sorry about that" We won't set foot in it again, can't believe folks thinks this place is anything above a 3 on a good day, alot of attention on decor but definitely not in the kitchen or with the paying customers.

Amazing food with amazing staff.

A very comfortable and cosy pub with a good atmosphere and vast choice of drinks. Food was fantastic and once ordered arrived quickly. Friendly, polite, and helpful staff adding to what was a great meal out with family. Thank you.

Just home from yet another lovely meal in Gasworks. Food was fantastic and so tasty. Service was 100% and I must say the best ever, always smiling and very helpful. Will definitely be back

One of the best restaurants I’ve been too, the service was on point from the minute we walked through the door, really friendly staff, they also have a great menu with lots of options to choose from wether it be gluten free, vegetarian, or your normal main menu all cooked to your own preference. Highly recommend and worth a visit.

Top class food an very friendly staff.

Visited due to good reviews and from the menu on the website but disappointing experience. Quite a large space but the four different parties of customers there, were all bundled beside each other. Got given menus, which were different to their extensive online menu (I did not notice any clarification on the website that menu was time/day specific) with only eight options, none of which were vegetarian or vegan, and in all honesty, quite basic options. Did not notice prices listed for this either and the menus were well-used, shall we say. Didn’t see allergens listed either. Music was a tad too loud at that time of day for my liking. Service felt rushed to get us to order drinks food and once served, only appeared once to clear plates and never appeared again. Food was salty and was left with quite a thirst - they did not provide jugs of water for the table. I think they asked once but didn’t hear them but no condiments on the table bar salt/pepper and they never came back to check in how things were. Chicken wrap, while chicken was tender, food was lukewarm, chips were less than mediocre, as was the tiny portion of salad and as the plate was not heated, cooled quickly. Compared to outside, I felt there was a bit of a chill while sitting there too. Overall, it felt much like a pub/club attempting to have an additional income with food that, I’m not sure if it’s due to staffing with having this random other lunch menu or what, but food just felt very poor quality to me. They had also run out of a main ingredient for one menu option and it was only 1.5hr into their service… I’m sure it’s a great experience for a boozy night out though! But I will not be back or recommending.

We were travelling from Armagh to Springhill in Moneymore, so I decided to consult Tripadvisor to find somewhere for Sunday lunch. Well this time we hit the jackpot. From the convenience of street parking to entering this lovely atmospheric pub we were immediately impressed. This was followed by a warm welcome from Mary who took our orders and delivered the most delicious starters of breaded mushroom and breaded brie, both well accompanied by a garlic mayonnaise and cranberry sauce respectively. Even the salad garnish impressed. Our visit to the carvery followed where we were met by Geoffrey & Jo who loaded our plates with the most appetising selection of meat and vegetables. My turkey and gammon was divine. So much so that I went back to the servery before leaving to find out the recipe for the exotic tasting gammon. Geoffrey obliged by letting me into his secret. I leave it to you to find out for yourself when you visit. We were also attended to graciously by Jessica during the course of our visit. What a discovery? It won't be long until we are back with friends and family.

We called in today for a quick lunch. The food was so yummy, lots of it and great value. It was also great service. I would highly recommend it 👌

We had a brilliant meal here sunday lunchtime. They offer carvery and the normal menu which is great. Food was delicious and service was fast.

The staff was friendly and very helpful meal was lovely would go back again.

I’m lucky to be able to say that the Gasworks is one of our locals. We’ve never had a bad meal or experience when dining here. The food, the service and atmosphere are all incredible.

Really cool place, Cocktails we great, staff was very welcoming and friendly. Food was good, sooooo much food. Need to sleep for a week now. Great wee spot. Well worth a visit.

Came here for a wee pint and some food ! Food was excellent anything you order is 10/10 and customer service is perfect everyone talks haves a chat with ya! Just easy place to be so recommend, as a person that never leaves reviews thought why! Not been here lots of times so I can tell how good it is!

Nice atmosphere and excellent decor. Shannon our server was great, very friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. The Gluten-free pizza bases are full-size and better than most but wasn't so keen on the vegan-mozzarella. The "Pulled Porko" was good but their Triple cooked chips (fries for our American friends) sealed the deal. Will be back next time I'm passing.

A group of girls recently attended for a hen party and it was just fantastic! Nothing was too much trouble. The live music was brilliant. The cocktails were amazing but honestly the food was so so good! I can't wait to go back with the family for food and drinks. A hidden gem. The pizza and nachos were are delicious.

Probably some of the nicest 'bar food' (If you can call it that, it was more like a restaurant!) I've ever had. We thought the bill was wrong it was such good value. Absolutely recommended!!

Food first class friendly staff

So I reviewed The Gasworks back in June 2021 saying the food was great but the service was a bit below par however...they have worked so hard to make massive improvements which has really paid off! Fast forward to August 2022 and let me tell you this place is fabulous! My fiance and I now regularly eat here! The service has so much improved with more lovely friendly staff, live music, and most importantly excellent choice of food and drinks! Theres always something going on with a great vibe and I would highly recommend for a Saturday night out. Well done guys!! Love the place! X

This was our first visit to the gasworks and it won't be the last. Genuinely the best pizza we have ever had and we love pizza!! Service was excellent and waitresses were extremely friendly. Reasonable prices. Can't wait to go back.

Super we spot i didnt know existed until recently. Cool decor, nice relaxed vibe and the best pizza i have had in a long time - agreed by kids and adults. Definitely be back 👍

Well run great food and atmosphere

Popped in yesterday for some food and a drink, I ordered a burger and chips. This was by far the best burger I may have ever had! Can not wait to try every burger on that menu! I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

I have to say gasworks is one of my favourite places to go, as a hairdresser we like to talk and I couldn’t recommend this place enough and when cilents come back to tell they have went and couldn’t believe how nice it was is nice to hear. For a family run business they put their heart & soul into everything. Such a trendy bar/restaurant lovely atmosphere catering for all different needs is amazing! Food is absolutely first class and so fresh & staff go more than they can to help you!! Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Your choice of deep fried food in basket. Everything in a basket. Food is not there to be good, it is to accompany the drinks. Some had a long wait while the majority of the party had their food served. The melted slices of packet cheese on nachos was a particular low.

First visit since 2019 and it looks amazing! The Friday Fiver is fantastic value. I had the Scampi and was really surprised that it came with all the trimmings. Well done Denver and Rachel - best wishes for every success

Just had my birthday lunch and it was absolutely fantastic, great food and great service. My son said it was the best pizza he's ever had. Will definitely be back!!!

Third visit here hoping third time lucky with service! Positives first tho. The staff are lovely and friendly. I ordered a pizza and my fiance had a chicken burger with chips and both were gorgeous! However... When shown to our seat we waited a good 20 minutes before our drinks order was taken. We just wanted water initially. That took another 15 munutes. The food eventually areived but we had to ask for cutlery! The people beside us were the same and much aggrieved there was no steak on offer on the menu! I had ordered a cocktail which arrived during my food. No-one asked if everything was ok until we had finished! I feel sorry for the restaurant staff..theres just not enough iof them and they just spend time apologising for things not being quite right... the emphasis seems to be on keeping the "drinkers only" happy in the other areas. I hope this improves as the food is really lovely and I love the ambience and decor!

Terrible. Pizza arrived in a box. My chicken dish arrived in a plastic basket and tasted worse than it looked. Even Gordon Ramsey couldn't save this horrific place.

Has the bottomless lunch here yesterday. Absolutely first class. Food,drinks and service were unreal.

Went out for a family meal, service was a bit slow but food was good. Only complaint not one member of staff was wearing any kind of mask, which I thought they had too.

Steak was fatty and was not worth the money, they forgot one of our starters after waiting 45 minutes for the other one. Peppered sauce was almost like jelly and had no taste. Staff were very friendly and helpful but service was poor due to understaffing. Had heard great things but after tonight I will not be back.

The Gasworks is the best burger and pizza joint in a 50 mile radius, with the loveliest staff and owners. They have taken the well known formula of American style food and taken it into another league with their dedication to quality and flavour. For my money, it's the best eatery in Dungannon. Go for the food and stay on for the cocktails and craic. Highly recommended.
