Best chippy around! There is alot more chippys closer to me but will travel to get the weekly chippy from here. The food is always on point and tastes great! The pricing is ridiculously good too! £1.50 for a burger is incredible! The service is always grand from the ladies working. There is always a cue! Not surprisingly so either with how good it is! Never waiting long though, the turn around is extremely fast. Defo worth a visit if you are looking for some good quality sausage and chips!!

Certainly the best fish and chips takeaway in the Grimsby area. Really quick professional happy staff. Portions are huge. We order 2 fish, one small chips one small peas and that easily feeds 4 of us. Consistently great tasting haddock, batter and chips. Can be often a huge queue as so good.

The best fish&chips by far in nel, fish off the plate and so consistent week after week and the staff are on the ball, keep up good work👍

I have visited more chip shops than my heart can probably take but this place is in another league!! Lots of friendly staff making the orders fly through, even on a busy Friday I wait no longer than a few minutes for my meal. The pricing is superb, very well priced for the size portions! They will be very hard to beat! The food itself, what can I say! Its now the family favourite chippy! I recently had a large donna kebab, battered sausage and chips. Safe to say it was incredible. None of which was greasy which was a bonus. My kids cleared there plates which is a rare thing to happen. If your in the area this is the chippy to visit! Well worth the visit and you will not be disappointed!

Worst chip shop I've ever been to. Horrible staff, horrible food.

The frying pan is a very good chippy,but on the last few visits the staff are a bit on the aggressive side and they do often break the fish,today and last week the chips were under cooked,come on guys if the chips aren’t ready wait.none of us like soggy chips. When on song this chippy is by far the best even when the staff are grumpy,

Called after being disappointed at Scartho , on entry there was a long queue, but very quickly arrived at the counter, in no time at all walking out with the order , all 4 of us pleased with quality and size of fish , will use again

This is the best fish and chip shop in Grimsby & Cleethorpes. It’s a hotly debated topic in this neck of the woods, but to settle it once and for all. The Frying Pan is the best. After trying loads of other places and being disappointed, I’ve been going here for 3-4 years and it’s consistently amazing. The best freshest fish, perfectly fried in crisp but light batter. Everything else on the menu is top class too, decent chips, mushy peas and curry sauce. Staff are friendly and efficient; and the prices are on par with other places. The queue out the door on a Friday and Saturday is testament to how others feel about this place. My family and friends all agree, The Frying Pan rules. Try it and you won’t be disappointed.

Always go to The Frying Pan when am in the area. The fish is gorgeous, chips are fluffy. Peas are tasty & all food is always pipping hot . Good service & Friendly staff . 😊

Fish cooked to perfection and lovely mushy peas, the chips where cooked well but too many small ones to give 5 stars sorry.....But great service time and a smiley staff too.

The fish and chips here are exceptional and fried to perfection so is the chicken. All the staff are very pleasant and always look smart in their uniform. The service is excellent and inside the shop is spotless 5*

Went onto the shop . My first thought was the cleanliness. The staff was friendly and efficient. Quick service even though they were busy with a que .thought I would be waiting ages but it all sailed through remarkable god . The fish (haddock) was very tasty and huge came of the end of my plate normal size dinner plate and it was delicious. Chips brilliant true hand cut chunky chips .the menu was brilliant too and they have Keebab meat too. Worth a visit can see why they have won awards .

By far one of the best fish and chip shops in the Cleethorpes and Grimsby area. The staff are friendly, the fryer will cook your fish according to your preference (lightly battered, flour dredged etc) and everything is of the highest quality. The only down side is that it's CASH ONLY...

Went in for lunch today fishcakes sausage chicken geougions chips, the chips were the worst we have ever had, well over cooked as though they had been double fried, only live local and they were stone cold when we got them home, 2nd visit in 3 weeks both as bad and both went in bin what a waste of money, will never go again 😡😡😡

Disgusting food. Chips were really dark which made me think that they would be very tasty, but alas they were tasteless, gritty and greasy. The fish was bland and the batter was very soggy with an unpleasant taste of raw flour. Curry sauce was gloopy and lumpy. The mushy peas were fine! Only called here because our usual chippy was closed for a service and deep clean. Do yourself a favour and journey 5 mins up the road for fish and chips from Scartho Fisheries instead.

Came here on the recommendation of a friend and they were 100% right, it was superb, the best fish I've had in a long time and well worth the little extra travel from Scartho. Boyfriend had sausage and chips with curry sauce and really enjoyed it. We will be coming back again soon.

This to me is the best chippy around .Staff excellent Fish chips the best mushy peas mmm we have to travel from Humberston to Waltham but we'll worth it.

We made a phone order for our staff and all we could hear in the background was the owner who was shouting and swearing in the back ground..when I got there to collect our order the ladies serving were lovely but appalling behavior by the owner to the staff. It was very uncomfortable for all involved 😡 Food was lovely.

V good fish & chips,if a bit greasy, all one price ; 4 .10 for fish + 1. 50 for chips ,big portion's.they also do chicken , scampi, + pies. Best to order then pick up as they are v busy.

Unusually, I was disappointed with my fish and chips today. The chips were over cooked and a bit dry, and the fish wasn't very fresh. Wet and falling to pieces when I cut into it, and it smelled fishy, which as we all know is a sign of old fish. Not the usual standards I expect from the Frying Pan but I suppose once in a while it is to be expected...

Lovely staff and great fish and chips. Support these local British businesses even during the current situation. By the way “Trev” is brilliant and knows what he is doing.
