Hall Farm was the venue for our daughters wedding in May 2024. Alan & all the staff worked so hard to make it a very special day. They helped us organise everything very well. The food was absolutely delicious! The rooms that our guests stayed in were beautiful & extremely clean. Breakfast the next day was amazing with many choices & again the staff were very attentive. Could not fault Hall Farm & would highly recommend thank you very much!

We stayed at a nearby BnB and ate dinner here twice. The food was very good and the service was excellent! I can't have dairy so I asked for the Black and Blue burger without the blue. The waiter told me I couldn't have the peppercorn sauce either. He had the chef fix it for me with goat cheese and sauteed onions and peppers. It was very, very good! I was there with 4 other people and we all enjoyed our choices both times.

We had a 2 night mid week stay at Hall Farm and had some delicious food on both evenings and breakfast at Roosters Restaurant. The farm is located on perfectly quiet countryside and the rooms are large and very comfortable. Roosters Restaurant menu has some fabulous options with some additional specials too. Our meals were cooked beautiful and all super tasty. We had starter's too on the second night and we ate too much 😆 The Roosters breakfasts has great choices too, in particular for me was smoked haddock with poached eggs and smoked kippers (fish from nearby Grimsby) again all cooked beautifully. Staff we very pleasant and happy to have a nice chat. We had a great stay and highly recommend it.

Went for a birthday meal, it was a great experience. The Soft shell crab starter was great, followed by a kangaroo dish in place of the lamb. All of the food was good, and portion sizes generous.

Not staying but just came for lunch. Beautiful location and a very bright and welcoming restaurant. I started with the belly pork. The meat was as soft as butter and the fat beautifully crispy, not hard and crunchy. It was served as sweet chilli. Personally I would have liked a bit more heat but that's being a little picky. To follow I went for the lamb rump. Perfectly cooked, served very well. Our server was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Well worth a visit. So refreshing to see a menu that's definitely the best in the area. Thank you for a great meal.

Went for an evening meal with the wife. On entering we were greeted by professional and friendly staff. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I had hot scotch egg for starter and salmon for the main. My wife had the smoked haddock chowder for starters and her main was prawn stuffed haddock with spinach. All cooked to perfection. We'll definitely be returning and highly recommended.

A Hidden Gem: The Old Lloyds Arms is Everything a Pub Should Be The Old Lloyds Arms in Grimsby is a true gem that embodies everything a pub should be. Located right on Victoria Street in the town centre, it’s easy to walk by without a second glance, but that would be a mistake. Step inside, and you’ll find a pub that’s brimming with character, warmth, and a sense of community that’s all too rare these days. At the heart of The Old Lloyds Arms is its incredible landlady, Toni, who has been the beating heart of this pub for over 30 years. Toni doesn’t just manage from behind the scenes; she’s right there in the thick of it, serving behind the bar, chatting with patrons, and making sure everyone feels at home. It’s this personal touch that makes such a difference—you’re not just another customer here; you’re part of the family. The pub itself has a unique vibe, with music that leans on the heavier side but throws in a delightful mix of genres to keep everyone on their toes. Where else can you hear a metal anthem followed by ‘Barbie Girl’ or the Pokémon theme? It’s a soundtrack that reflects the eclectic, inclusive nature of the place. What truly sets The Old Lloyds Arms apart, though, is its clientele. All walks of life come through these doors, creating a melting pot of personalities and stories. Whether you’re there for a quiet drink, the regular quiz nights, belting out your favorite tunes during karaoke, or catching a live band, there’s something for everyone. The regulars are some of the friendliest you’ll ever meet, making it impossible not to feel welcome. If you’re in Grimsby and looking for a pub that’s the real deal, look no further than The Old Lloyds Arms. It’s a place where the spirit of the traditional British pub is alive and well—a community hub that’s as unpretentious as it is unforgettable. Don’t just walk by; step inside, stay awhile, and discover what makes this place so special.
