avoid at all cost. had fish and chips the fish was more batter than fish and the batter was terrible all mushy and the chips were half cooked it was totally unfit to eat at £10.80 a portion i would expect better, SAVE YOUR MONEY AND NEVER GO THERE

Arrogant owner my son went for a trial here for a job for two hours and was told he wasn't suitable! Disgusting treatment and not given a fair chance! Avoid this place! There are much better chip shops in Tredegar

And most of it went in the bin. Fish and Chips for 2 came to nearly £25. Nuff said. I nearly fainted.

Asked for a small portion of chips, I can only describe them as a childs portion - absolutely shocking for £2 👎🏻🤷🏼‍♀️ I will not visit them again You need to look after your customers and they will return- in my case no chance

Food ok very clean however very over priced: large chips, pot of curry and a battered burger no bun £6.75 other local places foid as good if not better approx £5.35

Called in for a cone of chips and a couple sausages! Just a quick fix. The chips were bitty and served in the smallest cone. Tasted not great either! Biggest issue the price!! Absolutely ridiculous price for what we had!!! Will never go back! Also staff were surly and did not seem to have any idea!!

Not the cheapest but one of the best local chippies. Good selection of chip shop food ready to serve. Chips are not greasy and fish (although expensive in comparison to others) is very good. Will be back!

Been searching for a proper chippy in tredegar since we are new to the area. This isn't it. Soggy, bitty chips, decent enough piece of fish but with the skin still on, yuk, and dripping with fat. Ludicrously expensive at £4.50 for a fish ! Shan't be going back.

Fish and Chips used to be a cheap, nourishing meal. I was really surprised to find that Fish and Chips for two, gravy and chinese curry came to £17. I actually asked the lady again how much it was because I have never paid so much wherever I've been! Not used to the skin being left on the fish. The chips were like crumbs and most of the meal went in the bin. Over priced - sorry but won't be back soon.

Best chips in town by a country mile. Really good selection and the Irish curry is by far the best I've ever had. Can't recommend it highly enough.

My son and I have lived here now for a little under two years, and owing to his work pattern, we frequently eat out, or get a take away. Our usual takeaway was closed on Monday, so my son decided to try the Fryery. What a disappointment. The fish had been sitting under the heat lights for so long it was thoroughly dried out and leathery. Instead of that wonderful 'sea' scent of fresh fish, this had the ammoniac stink of very stale fish, and the batter was of the thick 'foamy' variety instead of light crisp and golden. As for the chips! Words almost fail me, an assortment of floppy pale underdone, dried up hard overdone, and greasy ones. Most of both portions went in the bin - even our two cats turned their noses up. Well at least we know NOT to try and buy a fish supper in Tredegar, on a Monday.
