I started coming to this pub as new to the area. Every one including bar staff are lovely. The problem is they have locals who think they own the place. Apparently a dog friendly pub but when my little dog approached another the dogs didn’t like each other. I had mine on a lead and quickly pulled her back. All I got was a mouthful of abuse from the dog owner. I explained dogs are dogs and will not always get along. His answer was, you shouldn’t bring that dog in here plus other comments. Not a nice man at all. Very rude. I think the pub needs to have a word with their locals. They do not own the pub. I have told my friends and family not to go there. It’s been posted on Facebook too. I won’t be spoken to like that. Maybe if I was a man it would have been different. An absolutely nasty man who will upset the wrong person one day.

... I haven't been to many pubs in South Wales, but this one of the best ones. Will need to drag friends and family here.

Loved the energy the place had and the band was well received. Would pop there again but I'd be better prepared for a bit of a spit and saw dust environment.

Great jukebox, nice little pub, only downside was the lack of real ale on offer, but still had a great time.

First visit. We went to see the Kamikaze Millionaires gig here. Excellent.

Not the most athletically pleasing pub, a little rough around the edges but we had fun in a bit group and the drinks are cheap. There's a pool table and slot machines and also a juke box too

Nice warm atmosphere with friendly staff & a wicked kronenburg (lush wintertime when log fire burning)

Independent free house. Friendly staff nice views over the park. Fair range of drinks plus all the sugary rubbish the youngsters drink.

I like it here. They serve a wide selection of drinks plus crisps and other nibbles to choose from. Friendly staff, clean facilities and popular amongst the villagers. The fox and hounds also has a lovely outside seating area which I enjoy using myself in the summer months. Full marks.

A really friendly local pub. Nice pint of Kronenbourg. Clean toilets. All good. Give it a try.
