Jack's Plaice in Caerphilly

was really good I wrote a review about it no being delivered and the resurant not having a active number but it got delivered 20 mins after it said it was delivered apologies app error.

order never arrived said it was delivered but nothing was outside and no nock was heared downstairs and I tried to call the restaurant and the number isn't in service.

I havnt had jacks plaice for ages I just had mine delivered and wow the kebab is amazing the burgers are fresh and so juicy wow thankyou Jack will definitely order again

Asked man on the phone to repeat my order back to me, after 3 times got it right. When food came all wrong . Rang to tell them and they said that's what she ordered and started saying it's us that got it wrong.

The chips must have been triple reheated. They were hard and inedible. Only ordered because Ship Deck weren’t taking orders.

Jack's a great guy, nothing too much trouble for him and the food is always freshly cooked.

Lamb donor so dry. Chicken donor smelt and tasted like dog food. Sausage was inedible cheap and nasty. Won't be ordering again sorry jack

Food was not at all nice and did not eat this food, the chips had all black bits on them, what wate of 18 pounds will not oder with you again!

Food is amazing, the service is impeccable, you might have to wait a bit for your food but it’s all cooked fresh and exactly how you want it. I have been using this place for over 3 years and I have Never had a bad meal.

First time ordering from these and can honestly say the food was amazing. The price was amazing for what he had aswel. Happy customer and will definitely be ordering again

A lovely couple of portions of good freshly cooked food. First takeaway I've used in the town since moving here. A lovely warming curry sauce as well. I will be back.

Worst place ever, the staff are very rude. Even the replies to comments in here you can hear the aggression. I hope they get shut down soon for treating people with 0 respect and providing terrible food and service

Lovely food I had chicken tikka kebab it was huge my son had a cheeseburger with all the salad and that was massive both enjoyed our meals we had two drinks I came on time good value for money best I’ve had lovely thank you would recommend highly

Don't order very often from Jack's Plaice...but when we do, the food is always hot, fresh, tasty and on time. Zero complaints.

Disgusting and rude staff, they were very aggressive toward me, all because they sent me the wrong curry sauce on my chicken curry and refused to replace it. They told me they had to feed their family and they were not going to let me take food out of their children's mouths

I ring 5 times and no answer so I wouldn’t try this place

Usually a great place. But tonight the gave my partner the wrong curry and when he rang he was told he wont get another OR a refund because "it will take food from my kids mouths" Partner went there for a refund(taking no for an answer) and was met with having his curry thrown across the takeaway, and his refund in his face. All recorded. Also told that the original man on the phone who didnt offer new food or a refund and mentioned his children had just lost his mum? Why would that man be on a customer service line after such an ordeal? That bereaved man was shouting from out the back that were not allowed to order anymore. This was tonight Please be careful. It was very stressful and a horrible experience.all because my partner dared ask for the right curry sauce and knew his rights so refused to be told no to a refund.

Crazy!! I order from here all the time (well I used to) and the food was OK and the delivery was fast but not TODAY.. Here goes I ordered a chicken curry and chips in the notes section I wrote - Hot / spicy curry sauce please, when it arrived they sent me the homemade curry sauce (I don't like it) so I rang to ask if they can replace my order. The person on the phone was very rude and kept interrupting me telling me that it was my fault for not writing "madras" and he won't be re sending my order, he said "my boss will take the money from my wages, I won't have you taking money from my family, I have to feed them" I was shocked to the core. I said I demand to speak to his manager and I want a refund we went back and forth and I said I will have to bring it back to the store myself and he hung up on me. Arrived at the store and there was a different person, I put my container on the counter and said I spoke to someone (he picked it up and threw it across the shop into a bin) took £6.50 out of the till threw it on the counter and said "no more from you no more don't bother" I asked what he meant and he said "don't ever order from here again his mother died and he can't be bothered with you, don't ever come back" I said you have lost a good customer to which he replied "look buddy I don't give a s£&t about you or anyone, I have plenty of orders look at this screen" I am now black listed Disgusting angry people with no service skills I have no time for this, I wish I could attach a recording of what he said to me it's appalling

Food was hanging tasted like Iceland chicken strips also I ordered two Dr Pepper came with two lilt’s

Love this place. Hot food proper chipshop chips AND whenever they have them, if i ask for blue Raspberry lowes pop they give them :) obsessed. My delivey drivers are always so lovely and the man on the phone is too. Thank you

Food was ordered at 7.30. 2 chicken curry rice and chips. Said to be delivered 8.15 to 8.35. Messaged to find out where it was at 8.50. Said it would be delivered by 8.55. Eventually came at 9.20. I had given up by this point and went to bed.

Food was Awesome, fish was so tasty and Madras curry sauce the best ever. Thank you Jack's Place, for great food!

The food was not hot and it was late.

Took hour and 45 mins to arrive. rock hard cold chips and freezing kebab, looked like it had been made and then waited the hour and 45 mins before being delivered. Shame really as jacks plaice was my go to ..

Chips were over cooked, sausage in batter was nice, arrived an hour and a half late, no apologies, won't be ordering from there again

Unsatisfied with the service received, was told food would be delivered between 9:45 to 10:05. Gave the benefit of the doubt and left it until 10:15 to then be told by the restaurant it would be with me at 10:20 however it came at 10:50...30 minutes after they said I would have my order.

Second time of ordering and really enjoyed it again really tasty and filling food

Every time I order from you I enjoy it so much and it's the best chicken tikka wrap if had it's full to Brum and tasty fish and chips are amazing chicken curry rice and chips out of this world burgers really good and your sausage in batter who keep up the good work and tasty food

I don’t often leave reviews but This place definitely deserves two minutes of my time :) food arrived early, hot and in plentiful portions. We ordered a mixed kebab and chicken curry and chips and both were thoroughly enjoyed. No dry food - praise the lord ! I would definitely recommend:) Thanks

Plenty of food and hot. Kids and I really enjoyed it.

Food quality was very poor and chips were cold and lots of small bits. Sausages were very poor quality and my husband didn't even eat them and he loves sausages. Fish cakes were cold and tasteless. The only thing was was nice was the Clarkes pie but even that had quite hard pastry. Not sure I will be ordering from here again for a while, very disappointing as we usually order quite frequently.

Wow well at first I was abit disappointed as it was late but the food quality and taste , wow gorgeous one of the best kebabs I’ve had from Caerphilly. I’d rather wait extra half hour and have lovely food!! Definitely recommend will always order from here now!

Haven't ordered in a while because previous delivery was so late. Decided to give them another go but that was mistake, 45 minutes late again. No explanation and food wasn't the best quality either. Only gave them another because they sell Clarks pies but will have to forfeit future pies and have deliveries from somewhere else. Don't see the point in offering a delivery time if it's going to be nowhere near to what you've requested, disappointed again.

Food was late and cold also missed 1 item had to throw the order in the bin as it wasn't fit to eat

Have ordered food here many times and it is always loverly and good value for money. Most important we get a text to say its on its way and it always arrives piping hot. well done

Best chipshop in caerphilly! Fresh and great value. Would recommend you won't be disappointed.
