The Forge offered amazing freshly prepared quality food and the service was brilliant. The best meal we've had all weekend.

Brilliant friendly service catered for a large group with ease and all food was lovely especially the curry sauce and hand cut chips, even helped me out to jeep with all the boxes !

The best fish and chips I've ever had in a takeaway/cafe. If only they were based in Dublin. Great size portions and excellent price too. A must try when passing through the town.

We stopped off tired and hungry after visiting Donegal. The Forge was the only place we seen open and I was really impressed a chippy in a tiny town was serving veggie burgers. Decided to eat in, the kids loved their meals. I had a vegetarian curry which was lovely. My partner loved his meal also. Really reasonably priced with a good variety of options on the menu. Most importantly the service was fantastic, all the staff were friendly and welcoming and a real credit to the place.

I’ve only ever visited here on a Friday or Saturday and it’s always busy. Some people ring ahead but I don’t mind waiting. I waited 10 minutes for my order but they were filling up lots of other orders and the chips I had were freshly cooked so you can’t complain. When a place is as busy as this it’s a good sign the food is great.

We stumbled across this wonderful eating place. We fell in love the moment we stepped in this place! The food,especially the posta dish, was the best we have eaten in all of Ireland! Chris, keep up the good cooking! The staff is also what makes this place what it is..... truly the sweetest people of all northern Ireland! We will miss this place!

We called in yesterday and had the lunchtime specials i had the peppered pork and veg the food is top class and good staff 👌

We were staying at the rossharbour resort and fancied a chippy and this was the closest and it had reasonable reviews so we thought we’d try it! The ladies that work there were really nice and very welcoming but the food just wasn’t great, the burger I ordered had been very over cooked, which made the meat very dry and hard to swallow, my gf ordered a curry chip (basic item) which sounds hard to mess up but they did! At first we thought it was gravy at first, it was very different in colour to how it normally is! The chips were very soggy and tasteless! Food was very disappointing but the ladies were so lovely 😊

While out for a drive with my nieces we stopped for lunch in Belleek, at the Forge. We were shown to our table quickly and our order was taken promptly. The food was really good, fresh and plentiful. The ladies attending us were lovely, very friendly and helpful. The Forge is an excellent place for a quick freshly prepared lunch. My friend and I had stopped for takeaway en route to Mayo a few years ago and we still remember the excellent fish and chips we ordered

Strange the sit in menu isn't as good as the take away. We wanted pizza but we're staying miles away so wanted to sit in. We'd have happily eaten out if the box at the table. Food we did get was grand, staff pleasant , seemed clean. Would eat there again

Driving threw Belleek stopped off for lunch, that was a regret. Lasagna, combo veg soup & tuna toasty please, safe enough options you'd think! Veggie soup was like a think broth 1 bit of carrot & pot not great but warm accompanied with a tuna sandwich (no toasty) loads of butter & can of tuna just emptied into it, the sandwich just crumbled as no mayo to hold tuna together, such a mess, no presentation, a disgrace to dish that out. Hubby mentioned to the waitress lasanage was cold. Chef returned back the same slice like it exploded on a side plate, even the friendly waitress agreed, he refused to eat it as afraid of food poison. Time to pay, I explained I'm NOT paying for the sandwich or lasagna as didn't eat either. She spoke to the chef & agreed with me. Left Hungary & with no apology. Paid for chip, soup & drink. I'm appalled with the chef, he thinks it's acceptable for diners to receive & pay for a meal of this standard. Unfortunately I did not take a photo.

Stopped here for a meal one Friday evening. I had a steak baguette, it was more like stewing beef on a baguette rather than steak. . Nice homemade chips, Ordered chicken wings also and would have expected a salad with them but there were just five chicken wings on the plate. Only one toilet for everyone to use, but very clean and well decorated

This was the only restaurant in town open in the off season. A strange configuration of take out and eat in, we chose off the restaurant menu. It was fine, but on way out wished we would have used the takeout menu which was more extensive.

My partner and I don’t really know the Belleek area as we were staying at Lusty Beg. My partner googled this place ‘The Forge’ the reviews were good so we tried it. We went there and the moment you walk in the staff are so friendly and good banter. The food was superb and so tasty, I love knowing the fact that it’s HOMEMADE especially their chips, are to delightful! It is far from expensive for how tasty the food is and after eating once we certainly will eat there again. The owner he was lovely he gave us places that we could visit and try out. We had a lovely convo about things, anytime now we are in Belleek we will always call in for food and defo to say hello! Can’t fault it at all, lovely clean place, plenty of room to sit not cramped up like sardines! They don’t rush you out your door, they actually take time to hear how you are and TALK! Honestly I’m really happy with this place and would advise anyone to eat here, you won’t be disappointed! Visited The Forge with friends and had a wonderful dining experience. The lady and gentleman running the show were warm and welcoming folk with fantastic customer service. The menu is simple yet genius, down to earth dishes that offers something for everyone - even a vegetarian pasta! The Forge was our highlight from our visit to Fermanagh - a real asset to the community of Belleek, we left with a warm feeling in our hearts - we will be back!

Decided to take my mum who was here on holiday out for lunch as we have always had good takeaways. Both myself and my husband had curry and chips and mum ordered sausage,beans and chips. The curry and chips arrived and we waited another minute or two for the sausage beans and chips to arrive, unfortunately the waitress dropped one of the sausages off the plate then proceeded to move it along the floor towards the kitchen with her foot,where one of the chefs was waiting with a cloth to wipe the sausage off and put it back on the plate. They obviously didn.t realise that we could see what was happening where we were sat. When the plate was handed to my mum she only had sausage and chips, we had to ask again for the beans, they left a dish of gravy for her. Consequently we refused to pay for her food which she did not eat and we didn.t even get an apology. Note to self. DO NOT EAT HERE AGAIN

Called in on the hope of getting a steak meal. told that the chef had finished at 5pm, but could get a take away, asked if we could sit in and eat and told no.Passed it a little later and saw people sat at a table. Perhaps visitors were not allowed only locals??? Not impressed.

Plain ordinary food served by people with a good sense of humor. Pleasant surroundings. Clean. Food served hot and accurately and ordered. Nothing too much trouble. Good selection on the menu at a reasonable price. Toilets could be improved. Otherwise, well worth a visit that will not leave you disappointed. Easy to recommend.

Service excellent, meals were excellent value for the price the turkey and ham was so moist, five veg with it, couldn't fault it. If ever back down that direction will definately be back.

Chip portion size is actually pathetic more like a kids size also did not taste fresh probably reheated to many times ...would definitely not recommend this place to eat

We stopped for a lunch and we're surprised with quality and quantity. The Big Coujons were super. We expected 3, maybe 4, but was most when 7 arrived on the plate. Each coujon had the better liberally sprinkled with sesame seeds and herbs. The result was magical, making the batter extra crispy and tasty. Highly recommended.

We stumbled upon this place while looking for a bite to eat. Some of the places in the area were expensive. This place offered lovely tasty food you’d cook at home in Northern Ireland..! At a great price..!

We decided to call in for dinner at The Forge as we had been there 2 years ago and thought the food was great then too. As expected, the food was lovely and the staff were so friendly and helpful. My son was feeling car sick and couldn't eat so the lady serving us got him some homemade soup and didn't charge us for this! He later decided he wanted chicken nuggets and it was no bother for them to make these. We will definitely be back to visit next time we're coming through Belleek.

Visited this place one evening midweek was served by Bernie she was so friendly and very helpful, I had the pasta dish cooked by Lucas and have to say it was the nicest pasta I have ever tasted, thank so much and keep up the good work

After climbing the nearby mountains we made a stop in Belleek for food before heading to Bundoran. Belleek is a lovely village on Irish border. We were warmly greeted and got take away food, chicken and chips. YUMMY. Homemade and delicious

Looking for somewhere it eat and we called in here, met by Ann who was friendly and attentive too. Food was tasty and plenty of it, fish and chips twice plus a pot of tea for less that £20 - great price and great service.

The cod and chips is excellent. The super fresh cod is HUGE and comes in light, fresh, crispy batter. The burgers were fine. The chips are second to none. The restaurant is bright and lively with lots of locals meeting up. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Fantastic value for money.

Discovered the forge a few years ago and now it's became a tradition to stop here when passing through Belleek in the summer. The food is good and the staff are attentive and friendly. Will eat here again!

we called in on a Sunday evening just to have something to eat after a day out food was very nice staff friendly what more can you ask for only thing that i noticed we had been here before and they did not replace bulbs that flash on every so often and this is slightly annoying they have been doing it for a few years now it is a wonder the staff have not noticed maybe im picky but i will defo eat here again

Fantastic. Every time I take the boys to the beach at Rossnowlagh they spurn fast food and beg for this restaurant. Bernie was terrific, the food was first class, the price was less than £20 for 3 meals, bread and butter, gravy, juice. Real chicken is all I can say.

Friendly staff, generous portions and homely welcoming atmosphere! I was here Easter Friday and had the fish goujons. The portions were very big - I got six large goujons in my order as well as chips and a side salad. The food itself was lovely. I could tell that everything I had was freshly homemade and definitely not frozen from a bag. The goujons were packed full with firm white fish which flaked beautifully, and coated with a delicious sesame batter. The chips as well were perfect throughout - golden and crispy on the outside, hot and fluffy on the inside. Would definitely recommend a visit particularly for families or groups of friends!

The Forge served amazing but simple food. I really enjoyed traditional fish and chips for dinner and then came back the next morning for a full fry and both were very appetising. The staff were very polite and accommodating and the place was overall very clean and has a 5 star hygiene rating. The food and drinks are very reasonably priced so I'd recommend this place to fill a hole in your stomach!

Had a family breakfast, tasty food, good price and friendly service. Staff were accommodating to any changes in our order and ensured we enjoyed our breakfast. The sausages are sooo good!!

Some cafes in Belleek close at five on a weekday. Not the Forge, though; a local lady directed us here, at the top of the town. We noticed a tripadvisor "recommended" sticker on the door!

Vino altamente recomendado, y no me decepcionó. La comida era excelente. El personal es muy amable. Bien merece una visita si estás en la zona.

I only got takeaway chips with gravy. I waited about 20 min for the chips which seems excessively long. The rest of the menu is basic food, nothing out of the ordinary.

Called in to this cafe/take away for lunch. It was busy with regulars but I found a vacant table. A few lunch specials were listed on a board at £6.95 as well as the usual cafe/take away food. I opted for one of the specials. The portion of meat was very generous. Staff all pleasant and checked if everything was ok on two occasions.

Popped in here starving as so much was closed on a Sunday. What a pleasant suprise. These guys are running a take out come restaurant, with such pride. Every person was personable and sincere and my husband said the fish and chips were excellent. The WiFi was also great here, (as the hotel we stayed it there was zero coverage in our room).

This is a great place to grab a meal, weather takeaway or sit in, everything tasty and well cooked, there's a good selection from frys to dinners to chip shop grub

Have visited the Forge on a number of occasions now and have never been disappointed. Generous portions and very reasonable prices. Also the menu has something to offer for all tastes. Would definitely recommend without any hesitation.

On our tour of Ireland we stopped for lunch. It was a memorable meal with friends. The staff were very friendly and the meal good. We were on a limited time frame and they promptly filled our order and delivered it with a smike to our table. A great place to eat.

Fantastic food that is consistently excellent! We ate in this restaurant 3 times during our week in Ballyshannon. We tried a variety of meals from the menu (from salads to roast chicken) and all were delicious as well as reasonably priced. That said, the cod is exceptional! Stands out a mile! Made to order, it is snow white and I can honestly say I have never tasted nicer. This little restaurant is a hidden gem with lovely staff. The owner in particular is a real lady - modest and sincerely appreciative of feedback. Well worth a visit! Full marks!

If you want an outstanding breakfast, served on lovely hot plates, and excellent value for money, do not pass this restaurant! I will definitely be calling again. Highly recommend.

Visited with our family of 5, catered so well for the children, providing them with coloring pencils and coloring books. Very good banter and made us all feel very welcome. The food was excellent with a good choice and very good value!

Second time we have eaten here. First time was an unplanned stop for Sunday lunch and it was so good we said we would go back when next in the area. We had been for a walk on the beach at Mullaghmore and built up an appetite by the time we arrived at Belleek. Straight into The Forge, seated at nice table, order taken promptly and food arrived in short time. I had a fantastic fish supper - really tasty and filled the plate! My wife thoroughly enjoyed the chicken dinner. If you enjoy traditional food at its best and served in pleasant surroundings by friendly staff give The Forge a try.

Stopped in for a bite for lunch on our way to Donegal. Vege soup for 2 of us and a burger for Dad, yummy. Best meal we've had in 5 weeks. Staff we're lovely and very helpful.

i always loved coming here for breakfast even if it was 8pm in the evening ,,but 6 times now ,it has been over cooked and greasy ,and the eggs do be in a pool of grease ,,the owner was having his lunch one day ,directly arrcoss from my table ,,i must have spent more then five mins cleaning all the grease from the breakfast ,,id have thought he would have even got up and asked me if every thing was ok ..chips are too over cooked and alot of the time look burnt ..

Just passing through Belleek on a Friday afternoon and stopped for lunch. I had one of the daily specials - Grilled Cod and a soup to start. The soup was fantastic and the cod was accompanied by swede, carrot, cabbage and mash and a white sauce. Absolutely delicious and remarkable value - less than £7. I recommend the Forge Restaurant.

We visited this restaurant and I have to say it's by far the best in Belleek. From start to finish everything was top notch and not over priced. I will be returning and a big well done to all the staff.

In our way from belfast to bundoran we stopped for a quick bite to eat, and im glad we did. An absolute delight, we got what we thought was a simple meal but turned out to be absolutely delicious. I got the goujons with chips, outstanding. The wife got the cod bites, fresh cod done in a batter that was absolutely delicious. I would recommend to anyone heading threw belleek to stop of and treat yourself to a very pleasent surprise. The hostess and the chef were absolutely wonderful and very friendly.

Stopped here a few times for breakfast and dinner while visiting the area with friends! Huge portions, quality food and excellent service, especially from the cook Valerie and the waiter Alan! Very welcoming and feels like a home from home :)

While visiting the beautiful borderlands of Ireland, we stopped by at least 3 times at this restaurant for breakfast and dinner. All 3 times were as good as each other, the fish and chips was delicious, the salads huge, the chips fresh, and the Irish breakfasts last you all day. The service was friendly, attentive, and you feel like you are well looked after. There is certainly a family feel to the place, which, is always a bonus and the prices were very reasonable for the large fresh portions we were getting. The place is well decorated and all facilities are all very clean. Highly recommended. Note: there is also free Wifi

Called at this restaurant yesterday evening having drove past many times couldn't believe it.food absolutely gorgeous.I have fish beautiful light crispy batter homemade chips the rest in our party of 6 all thoroughly enjoyed there food burgers lasagne bring your own wine.staff very welcoming and friendly certainly will not drive pass this restaurant again looking forward to going back.

Called here for breakfast and was not disappointed. On arrival, greeted by a nice friendly lady who gave us menus and promptly took our order. Food arrived quickly and was very very good. A nice clean premises and great staff. I will definitely call again.

This is the best fish & chips i have tasted in Ireland (North & South). Proper Fish , home made chips, spotless cafe & fast cheery service.The roast dinners & steaks looked superb too!
