The Foresters Arms in Shropshire

I’ve been several times in last few weeks. Without a doubt an excellent restaurant with friendly welcoming staff and great food. One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to.

We lived in Naples Italy for 5 years and would say the food here was outstanding. However, very disappointed that it took 90 minutes to receive our main course! Starters arrived in a timely fashion but then as the tables around us filled up and people who had arrived after us were served we realised there was an issue. A lovely waitress came over and was surprised we hadn't recieved our mains. Nothing happens for a further 15 mins. So. Just over an hour after completing our starters I decided to check on our mains. The waitresses were excellent and within another 10 mins we were all served. Too be honest this spoilt the evening as waiting 75 mins between starters and main is not acceptable. The food when delivered was amazing but it a shame that there was no offer of a reduction in the bill etc.

Faultless food , service and setting . Can’t wait to go in the summer for some alfresco dining . Love it love it love it love it

The Forester's Arms is now an Italian restaurant called Va Bene, run by people who clearly know what they are doing. A decent neighborhood Italian - good food and great service. We booked a table for next week.

Excellent been out to 4 or 5 different places lately in Telford area and been disappointed so really nice to come to a place where staff very friendly food very good puddings delicious potatoes could be creamier but more than edible only criticism

Brilliant people and excellent food will be going there again a really nice atmosphere and lovely Woodburner when you walk in

We visited here today as a last minute lunch. I’d seen the pub on fb, but had never visited before. The food was really good. I ordered a chicken burger which was clearly home made and my husband had a steak with all the trimmings. My 7 year old little boy ordered fish goujons and again they were home made and the portion size for a child’s meal was brilliant. But the real star was the home made chips! They were so moreish and according to my husband the best chips he’s ever had! Price for all three meals and drinks was very reasonable. We will be back again soon.

Booked for a Birthday meal, used to be regulars years ago so thought we would give it a go, 15 mins to get to a table, 15 mins to get order, 40 mins for food to arrive, there was only 2 staff, its the only restaurant i know where we had to keep our coats on it was so cold, out of the 4 of us 2 meals were completley wrong, mine was burnt to a crisp and my daughter was so disapointed she never botherd to eat hers, staff admitted the failings to the point they told us only to pay for the drinks. And this sounded like it happens regular, she said it almost straight away when we informed her of the issues. So dissappointed

Absolutely amazing tonight. All 5 courses were incredible. Very tasty and a wonderful example of the varied menu. A truly fantastic evening and unbelievable value. Everyone should support this pub and try their wonderful food!

I would like to say a massive thank you to Gemma and her workers at the foresters arms pub Broseley for making the rest of our day fantastic....the food was outstanding, you went above and beyond, everyone commented on the food how lovely it was and how much there was to eat and the atmosphere was amazing in the pub too... Highly recommend if anyone needs a buffet doing go to the foresters arms Broseley you wont regret it ... Thank you xxx

Nice friendly staff, ordered the chicken and beef burgers they were massive. One between two would have been plenty. Took some meat home in a doggy bag. The food however was superb.

Was here for a quiet drink when the blonde new owner told us we couldn’t play pool because we didn’t buy a drink. We showed her and her bald partner our crappy poured pints but she still kicked us out. All we were after was darts and pool.

Looks a nice pub. Lots of investment. But ran out of beer. Waitresses inexperienced. Food basic..we had carvery and a bit off-putting to see the server help himself, with fingers, to some of the stuffing. Other clientele a bit rough. Lots of shouting and swearing going on. Won't be going back.

First time here , daughter recommended it , I chose mixed grill my wife chose rump , wow best mixed grill I’ve had for a very long time , meat was expertly cooked exactly how I wanted it beautifully juicy and very very tasty , could tell it was locally sourced, would highly recommend it .

Visited with family for lunch as we’d been before in the evening and for breakfasts which were both good. I suggested to my parents to meet us there for lunch for them to try it. Website menu has a great variety of food but doesn’t mention kids menus or lunch menus. So we’d chosen before we got there, and was a little disappointed when there was a lunch menu and we could only order from that. The lunch menu was a little limited for choice, which is a shame. Possibly grill choices on there such as a burger may help and I find that’s a good go-to meal sometimes when stuck for choice. My partner wanted Scampi which was on the kids lunch menu but again not on the adults 🤷🏻‍♂️ Sadly my dads bitter was stale, and so was my San Miguel. Possibly old stuff still in the pipes that needed clearing first. Service was slow even though only 3 tables were in. Took 30 mins from drink order to meal order. And then an hour for the food. Im not knocking this place as it’s convenient for us and has always seemed so good. I’ve been with friends too, again in the evening and it was very good. Maybe they were having an off day. I’d like to think this is constructive criticism rather than a put down of any sort. This is why I’ve given it a 4 out of 5 because I know it’s better that what I experienced the other day.

Lovely evening here, only a 20 min walk from home, went with my partner and we had a 3 course meal and 2 alcoholic drinks each for a very reasonable price! Food was good, tasty pub food and good portions!! Was a little quiet but it was a Thursday night... staff were very polite and helpful! Will be going again... and can't wait to go in the summer as well

Had a great evening at the foresters really friendly, clean and good prices. Great family atmosphere with plenty of Space and great entertainment.

Visited with family following a recommendation and was not disappointed. Served by very friendly staff on a sunny autumn day with great food and value for money drinks! Will definitely be visiting again next time in the area!
