The Forester in Tameside

The staff are rude and thefes tryed taking my coat until conforted.dogs roaming around and bitting kids manger didn't care what so ever

Visited the Foresters this week for a meal with friends and I must say it was brilliant. The food was excellent with an extensive menu to choose from. Staff were very helpful and the landlord went out of his way to make sure everything was as it should be. Would I go back, in a heartbeat.

Called in for a couple of drinks my partner brought his bike which he put in the pub. Only on the way out my partner pulled his bike out and the manager Calvin Watkins accused his of riding over his dog ( bearing in mind the dog was still asleep ) we asked for cctv to be refused then to receive threats on messenger the day after (I’ve proof) he’s carried on with his threats since not a single one from me but I won’t back down I’m not gonna be intimidated by no one sorry. I suggest you all stay away from here unless u like doing drugs with the manager in the toilets!!

Booked a table at Foresters last Friday for our works do. The bar staff were great with good senses of humour and food was lovely. We ended up staying about 4 hours as there was live entertainment on after. We will definitely be making a regular appearance as it was a great atmosphere.

I have visited The Foresters quite a few times since it re-opened under new ownership in January. The staff are friendly and welcoming, it is clean and modern and the Sunday roasts are the best! Bring on summer so we can make use of the beer garden!

Staff very rude, food not good microwaved rubbish ! Kitchen staff uniforms dirty !!! Won't be visiting again 😕 Management staff need to attend a customer care course

Having recently visited with friends, I would absolutely recommend this pub, lovely food, very reasonably priced and top quality. The staff were brilliant and couldn’t do enough to help us decide what to have, so much to choose from!! Will definitely be back.

I visited this pub as it was recommended to me by my brother who had recently eaten there and spoke very highly of his experience… Myself and 2 friends went for a meal and drink on a Saturday afternoon, and I could only agree with my brothers comments (For once)…. Absolutely delicious meal, really polite & professional serving staff and bar staff, and also a really nice place and atmosphere. Highly recommend and will definitely be visiting again! Gareth

Popped in here for food and drinks with some friends, the food was fabulous and well presented. The staff were friendly and attentive, made to feel welcome. Will be back again soon.

This local pub/restaurant is sold as a family oriented venue. After a long refurbishment which is lovely we were looking forward to giving them our business again and again. The landlords are friendly welcoming people as are the staff and the food is delicious. As a family of 4, mum dad and 2 young children we were disgusted to be met from the onset with drunken loud foul mouthed groups of young men swilling lager on first named terms with the staff??? To be fair this is our third trip and the 1st 2 were a nice experience. However due to covid19 and a long closure the forresters unfortunately are just cashing in where they can ie drunken louts. As a family experience stay away its a complete no no for families and children, be warned stay away. Sad to say but unfortunately true.

The food in the Forresters is impeccable.The staff all brilliant service is second to none.I would recommend you to take a trip here and sample the hospitality in the newly refurbished Pub.

The Sunday lunch was thoroughly enjoyed, cooked to perfection and lots of it ! Will definitely return. The staff are all very polite and attentive and the surroundings are lovely. I felt that all Covid related guidance is being strictly adhered too and felt safe...

Came here for tea with my family and the food was piping hot and delicious. The new updated look and beautiful and the staff are friendly and a great help. All the COVID-19 rules were applied and in place, a clean and safe evening
