We decided to try this for a take out. Serves mainly fish & chips but also does kebabs. Such a friendly welcome and really good service from the team We ordered for my husband a large mixed kebab with chilli sauce and some onion. I ordered a chicken kebab with salad & garlic mayo. Absolutely delicious Would definitely recommend

How sad I feel tonight we've used you throughout COVID bad times you've always delivered on-time excellent fish and chips but tonight oh so disappointed we waited an hour for delivery not pleased with delivery man wanted the money before listening to my reasons for being unhappy sorry supported you through tuff times not happy now goodbye oh sorry Gill

It was taken over by new management and it was fantastic. But the inevitable has happened, the chips are bad... I thought I would give them a window on the first lot of bad chips but 3 days later, they are unfortunately the same. They have done the obvious... they’ve used good quality stuff to draw the customers, then bought in the cheaper stuff. Sorry Fishnet, but 2 strikes and I’m going to have to find another chip shop.

Had a delivery this evening the haddock was beautifully cooked and still lovely and hot when it arrived thank you👏👏👏

Been 3 times recently and has always been super. The food is fresh and well cooked. The chips are beautiful and the presentation last time I went was very upmarket. The peas and sauce finished it off well. The place is Immaculate and staff are easy going and helpful. Value for money and waiting times good. Well done team keep it up.

I had a small cod and chips which was reasonably priced at £4.90p. However the food was luke warm and the fish grey and tasteless. The fish was already prepared and probably been sitting there for a while. I should have walked out and cancelled the order. I sat on a bench by the canal to eat it but ended up throwing it away. The staff were cheery.

Advised to pre-order (ring them). I was amazed the the prices were the same as standard. And various products available. They even had gluten free vinegar.

Dont bother go somewhere else.The Staff have attitude and they didn't have half the things on the menu.

This is a real fish and chips operation! The seating area is quite basic, but the food was fantastic. Really the best fish and chips we had on our trip to England!

Just ordered a takeaway. 6 Chicken Nuggets and large chips. £6.10!!! CHIPS tiny portion for a large and they were white hardly cooked. NUGGETS were soggy with a thin layer of batter. Shame kingfisher was closed :(

Visité hoy para un pescado y papas fritas el viernes por la noche, cocinado fresco cuando se ordenó incluso para un pedido grande y muy agradable. Muy caliente cuando se come incluso después de 15 minutos de recogida. Las porciones son muy generosas. El personal es amable y muy educado. Maravilloso lugar, definitivamente creo que es el mejor pescado y papas fritas de la ciudad.

I was shocked at how light the bag of food was when it was passed to me. When I got it home I was even more shocked. Nice but both bites was just not enough!

Stopped in for a quick lunch, had a burger with chips and bottle of water, total £6.60 eating in. Burger was okay, filled a hole but had better elsewhere. Chips were lovely. Chap serving was very engaging with both new customers and regulars.

The best we’ve had in a very long time would recommend the fish we found it very good quality and not greasy the chips were cooked very well nothing was left on the plates it’s a great quality meal and good value for money.

7.40 for fish chips and peas. Peas came out of fridge! Really! Fish very small and chips very greasy. Sausages not much better sadly. Very poor for the price.

Eat in available but we always have takeaway. Good choice, portion sizes can be changed to suit your appetite. Batter not too heavy. Gluten free fryer can be turned on and the staff seem knowledgeable about the need for gluten free. Not the cheapest, but we've always been pleased with the quality.

What a huge disappointment. It says”quality award winning” - well it certainly wasn’t the food - perhaps the toilet!!! The young waitress was quite surly. Reason given for the poor meal was that everyone arrived at the same time - well it was lunch time and surprise, surprise that’s when people want to eat.

Disappointing! We chose to eat here as we were attracted by the "traditional fish and chips" sign in the window. The fish was good but the tough, rubbery half-cooked batter awful. We didn't much like the chips either which seemed like they had been cooked sometime before. Not recommended.

Stopped here for takeaway fish and chips after a long journey, too tired to cook. Order taken and fish cooked freshly. Fish very pleasant, chips ok, peas already in a tub and bunged in the microwave complete with burnt bits. Cost £13, that’s at least £3 more than at home. Quite large eat in section and caters well for the gluten-free. Shop was very quiet, Indian next door was heaving!

This is our second visit. Wonderful to have a whole separate gluten free menu. I am not used to getting a choice so chose a small cos and a small battered sausage and chips. It was nice that my husband and I could both have fish and chips.

We stopped by in Tewkesbury on a sunny (and hot) half term Thursday and in need of some fish & chips. We heard that The Fishnet was highly rated so we thought we’d give it a shot by eating in.

What a lovely owner! I was able to order GF battered cod, onions and mushrooms (and I did!) plus battered sausage and pineapple rings also on offer. All made freshly as I watched. Friendly service and gorgeous gf batter - I was a very happy customer.

Excellent Fish and chips the batter was light and crispy the chips were perfect and it’s dog friendly the whole family enjoyed it if we are in Tewkesbury again we will certainly go there again we loved it friendly people good food and reasonable prices ideal.

While on our Sunday joy ride out my wife and I ended up in Tewkesbury late Sunday afternoon feeling peckish and wondering in this fantastic country what would be open at around 15:30 on a Sunday where we could get something to eat, as we walked down Tewkesbury high Street we suddenly got this mouth watering smell of cooking Fish and Chips when we came across " The Fishnet" Fish and Chip Restaurant. Well what can you say, my wife had Scampy and Chips and I had Plaice Chips and Peas and my god they were one of the best Fish and chip meals we have had in a long time, they were Delicious, freshly cooked and tasty, the chips and batter were light and tasty along with fresh fish. the restaurant was clean and fresh and the staff and service were impeccable, you could not find a fault with this restaurant or its food.

stopped off at tewkesbury on way home from weston super mare for a break found great place here for dinner went in for a take out ordered fish and chips twice for me and hubby lady said in or out i said oh out please as we have a dog with us oh no problem bring dog in we very pet friendly first two tables can sit with your pet , wow couldnt have been any better, freshly cooked so had a coffee while we waited even dog had a sausage all cut up in a tray, chips was not at all greasy crispy in fact lovely white fish thanks very much will call again and they also cater for gluten free well done x

Have walked past this place every week for years and never been tempted in. Much to our delight, this week we noticed that The Fishnet is dog friendly, so decided to go in for lunch. We had some of the best fish and chips we have ever had, all cooked freshly for us. The service was excellent, the food superb, but best of all, our dog sat quietly under the table with us whilst we ate.

As well as good-tasting food the thing you want from a fish and chip shop is hot, fresh food. If it's served with a smile and doesn't break the bank, that's even better. And that's exactly what you get at The Fishnet. You can eat in or take-away and as well as fish there's pies, chicken, burgers and lots of extras (I'm still trying to figure out what you eat with pineapple fritters).

Expected more from this as it is award winning.The fishcake was processed and not fresh.The chips were flabby and pale.The large cod was fine but not that big.A teapot of tea would have been nice rather than just cups.

It well deserves its great reviews went late on our arrival to the water parks. The chips were just mouth watering will be going back that is for sure. A must

Very clean and friendly place with inside seating located on the Tewksbury High Street. Service was very good and the portions generous. The fish was well cooked and the batter very tasty. Very disappointed in the chips. Ended up with a big soggy hash brown of chips but they tasted ok.

Four of us have eaten there a few times now, one has coeliac disease so needs gluten free. Every time the food has been gorgeous, the batter is so crispy, never soggy. I have haddock the others cod, all cooked to perfection. The friendliness is superb too as is the service. Therefore would strongly recommend.

Usually go to the other chip shop, but thought we would try this one. The fish was really small (I've had children's bigger) which cost me £3.60. Only two mouth fulls of fish. Perhaps this was the mini one! The chips were not cooked properly. All tasted of old burnt fat. Disappointed,

I have regularly visited The Fishnet and cannot thank them enough for the tasty gluten free option! Being coeliac it's hard to eat out but George understands and caters! The fish and chips are always cooked to perfection and very tasty. Service is friendly and welcoming :)

Fantastically well flavoured cod, cooked to order because it was gluten free. Very helpful staff. Highly recommended.Very reasonable prices too. Medium cod £3.60, and was generous without being monstrous. Two of us had medium cod and we shared a large chips for 2.80, but we couldn't nearly finish them.

Staff were so helpful and friendly and the fish was the best iv ever had. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again.

I was running lake for a meeting and fancied some fish. I cod'nt believe how clean it sea-ms in there. The service is excellent and food is a chip off the same block. I carp believe the prices- very reasonable. I could compiel a list of reasons to go but it would it would take all day. Can you buy drinks? of course you CAN.

My family are all gluten free. We find it really hard to find places to eat out so when we came across Fishnet in Tewkesbury, we were really pleased. Although we live in Gloucester, it is definitely worth the journey to Tewkesbury to have these fish and chips. Staff are lovely and service is great. Would recommend this shop to everybody!

Not a regular fish eater but I thought I would give this place a try when I was in town. Boy! was I left happy. The chips were exactly how they should be and the cod was fried to perfection. Usually I would cover my fish and chips in sauce to mask the fishy flavour but it was not necessary at the Fishnet. The staff members were also really chatty and held a conversation really well. haven't had a fish and chips this good in a very long time. Will definitely be visiting again when I'm in town again! 10/10!

I thoroughly enjoy any experience here. The staff are fantastic, helpful and really friendly. Service is quick and the food excellent, would fully recommend this to anyone, whether you live or are visiting Tewkesbury. Gluten free everyday of the week is unheard of too. Its now my regular chippy

Visited during the half term with the family having heard good things and was pleased to see the gluten-free option for my mum- staff were talkative and friendly as well as the food being speedy and delicious. Would definitely revisit!

After reading the previous comments I just had to leave a review completely disagreeing! The portion sizes are extremely generous, especially for the price. The chips are moreish and always fresh. By far the best Fish and Chip shop in the area with the cheapest prices. The fish is always freshly cooked and perfectly battered. A go to Chippy with friendly staff!

I'm a returning customer to The Fishnet. I love the fact that they have gluten free batter is which tastes like normal batter, just better - crispy but not burnt or oily! The cod and haddock are very tasty as well as the chips. I also like a cheeky portion of poppin chicken :) Lovely atmosphere to sit in the restaurant with the family or a partner.

I took my grandchildren for a half term treat to The Fishnet having read a review praising the food. I had a medium battered cod with chips and mushy peas. This was served on a very small plate, really child size. The cod was nice, and batter too, but very small portion, in fact inadequate for £6.95. The chips were awful and peas watery. I also had a cup of tea, inadequate, but maybe mugs were available?My grandsons had fishcakes & battered sausages. Both did not like or eat the chips, which was unusual. Very disappointing, I won't be going back.

Most Yorkshire people believe good fish and chips cannot be found outside Yorkshire.This proves them wrong. It is excellent. But, then, the owner is a Yorkshireman!

I visited this restaurant yesterday on my way back from Devon to the Midlands. I am coeliac but my husband is not, we stopped for lunch. They were very helpful, I had a choice of different types of fish which is unusual for gluten free. We did have to wait 30 minutes for the oil to heat up and cook so we had a walk around the town. The meal was ready when we returned the fish and chips were well cooked and the portions were a good size. I would definitely go back if I was in Tewkesbury again.

Slow service, order wrong, mediocre food, unhelpful staff. We ate in, tables were disgusting thank goodness for baby wipes!! Overpriced for a chippy lunch almost £3 for a sausage!!! Cold curry sauce, wouldn't visit again

Staying in Tewkesbury and we passed this Chippy a few times and the smell was great (not like stale grease!) so eventually we gave in and got some chips and a sausage in batter. The chips were really nice and a decent portion and the sausage was lovely and crisp. We didn't try the other Chippy but would recommend this one. Also wasn't expensive.

Stopped at The Fishnet for a late lunch, very happy to find gluten free batter available. Ordered two regular cod and chips and one gluten free. The young staff are extremely polite and friendly and we were warned that the gluten free dishes are cooked fresh separately so our order may take 30 minutes. We were given the option to do some more shopping while waiting and return later. The order arrived in around 20 minutes but our waiter still apologised for the delay. The food was superb, the batter light and crispy and not in the least bit greasy. You couldn't tell that the gluten free batter was any different to the normal version. All three of us agreed that is was the best fish and chips we had eaten for years, strongly recommend.

Fantastic service . Best fish and chips I have had for a very long time,I am a retired HGV DRIVER not much of this country where I have not had fish &chips and this Restaurant is by far the best.we live near Worcester and it was well worth the effort.

Only had a portion of chips as we were having pizza. The staff were friendly and the medium portion was a good size. The chips while cut to a good size were fairly soft and greasy so I would not consider them to be the best.However, given that it opens on a Sunday we would definitely use it again.

After walking the streets of Tewkesbury looking for inspiration for Sunday lunch, we decided to have a battered fish (never had this on a Sunday before) The sun was shining so decided to have them open and sit an a bench in the high street.I don't like fish that has been holding in a hot box. We asked for 2 large cod to be fried freshly for us. Well worth the wait, good crispy batter and moist large flakes of beautiful white cod. I think we enjoyed that better than our meal at Raymond Blanc's restaurant the night before (that was very good as well thought) Guys, please get round to saving electricity by renewing your old grubby fluorescent fittings with food grade LED ones lsuk Graham give me a call

What a fabulous find, a restaurant that really cares. Not having had a fish and chips supper for years, we were delighted to find the Fishnet that caters for Coeliacs. I telephoned my order 20 minutes ahead, it was ready, piping hot and waiting for us. Not just fish and chips, but gluten free onion rings, and pineapple rings too. Well done Fishnet, great food and excellent service.

Visited Tewksbury on Sat. Lovely weather and even better "Fantastic" Fish & Chips served at the Fishnet, Coeliac UK approved. Very clean, with really nice, knowledgeable staff. Food cooked to order, separate fryers, utensils and serving area. Staff even washed hands before preparing, cooking and serving. Food was really well cooked, thin crispy batter, solid, meaty fish and proper chips. None of us could eat it all, so large was the portions. Serves Gluten free each day. I would recommend anyone visiting Tewksbury to pop in and have a great meal...cash only though!

Had fish and chips twice with curry sauce. When we unpacked the food we were very shocked to find 2 pieces of soggy greasy fish and a curry sauce we could not get out of the pot, it was a thick brown substance. Would not go there again, Such a shame as uncle Sams before it was a excellent chip shop.

Really pleased to find a fish and chip shop that has gluten free options available all seven days of the week. Slightly over-welmed to see so many gluten free options available. I chose the medium cod and chips together with onion rings and pineapple fritter. All were cooked to order but were available in just 10 minutes. Portion sizes were generous so I ended up with having bitten off more than I could chew! The batter on the fish was particularly nice, really crisp and tasty. If there was one slight criticism it was that they could perhaps have put more salt on the chips.

Perfect Cod, perfect chips. I had Lemon Sole chips and pineapple fritters, and all was perfect. Bear in mind that the Lemon Sole was the day's special, so isn't always available.Portion sizes are large, and prices are reasonable (£6.95 for large Cod & chips).You occasionally find a fish and chip shop this good, but I've not been to one better.

I went into the Fishnet fish and chips today and I sat in the restaurant.Service was brilliant, with a smile.The battered sausage was very tasty and for me the chips were just right.I will definitely by visiting again in the future.

Super: gluten free battered fish,onion rings,mushrooms,sausages,pineapple fritters,potato scallops and obviously chips; all cooked fresh in a separate, dedicated fryer. Beautiful white fish with a generous serving of chips. GF cooked to order, so there is a 15-20 minute wait, although you can ring and order beforehand. Staff very friendly and helpful, A real treat for coeliacs!(and others as well!)

We visited Tewkesbury for a family day out. It is a very scenic place and we were ambling along the high street and came across this fish and chip shop . The staff were very accomodating as we have two members of the family who are coeliac and they cooked gluten free fish and chips for them. This was great as it meant that all members of the family can all eat together. We eat in their restaurant and their fish was beautifully fresh, everybody enjoyed it. In the summer it would be nice to order the fish and chips from their shop and go and sit by the river which is about a two minute walk away.If you require gluten free fish and chips the staff advised me to phone ahead as it takes about 20 minutes to cook.
