We have visited here 3 times over the last few months the last time this evening on the way home from the Tottenham vs Luton game with my Mrs, son and daughter and grand daughter. You are able to sit down at this fish and chip shop. The food is always piping hot and fish tastes so fresh. This coupled with great service makes this place a lovely place to visit. I would highly recommend this place

Fabulous fish, chips and curry sauce. Large portion, great service. My partner ordered a pie and also said it was good. Nice table to sit at while you wait.

Great fish and chips, big portion, everything very crispy. I've had a takeaway before but lunch with a friend was great too - friendly atmosphere.

This used to be the best fish and chip shop in crouch end/ muswell hill. Now new owners have come in and - guess what? - much lower quality food, much smaller portions and, to top it all, higher prices. I won't be going back.

I've been having cod and chips from The Fish Palace at least once a week for the last 3 years. Why is that? The cod is always fresh and thick. The haddock and plaice are also very good, I just prefer cod. The batter is crispy, golden and nicely seasoned. The chunky chips are made from fresh potatoes and fried to perfection! Finally, the service is outstanding and the value for money is great as the portions are generous! Cannot recommend this place enough!

Fresh and tasty, good portion size and good value for money and a wide choice available to pick from. Definitely will be coming back!

Quality and quantity of fish chips on the menu was just great. . The fish was cooked fresh and had light batter cooked to perfection. I've had fish at Cannons but i have to say not a patch on the Fish Palace ..their portions are so good too we just had one large chip between 3 of us and we had some left not much though! 3 large fish and chip 25 quid ...what's not to like ..2 portions in Cannons! Friendly service too!

I was slightly put off by recent reviews as to the quantity and quality on food delivered on various apps. Decided to walk in and wait...Well worth it! Absolutely first rate chips, freshly fried cod to order and lovely service. Pricey, but a really great treat and I will definitely return. Thank You!

We popped in last Friday evening and had fish and chips for four in the restaurant. There is always a warm welcome from the two owners, lovely gentlemen, the fish is cooked to order and was really tasty as were the chips. Batter crisp, fish moist and very good. Quite a basic interior but clean and easy going. If you haven't tried it - definitely worth it and very reasonably priced. Enjoy

We have eaten at the Fish Palace both under its original owner (who served very fresh fish, fried in matzo meal on request, but who seemed to have serious staff difficulties) and under the new ownership, since when we have become regulars. The welcome by the gentlemen is unfailingly warm and courteous and we usually have (a huge portion of) sea bass with chips and salad, served with lemon, and all for £10. Nice to have a chippy where you can eat in and where children are made welcome. Portions are always very generous. It’s comfort food rather than smart dining but we are never disappointed and always leave satisfied. (This is in contrast to Cannons in Crouch End where we were so unimpressed with what we were served - the fish was undercooked and definitely not fresh, with mushy peas the only veg option - that we have never been back. Maybe they now serve salad?) The Fish Palace is not in the same league as Toffs in Muswell Hill, but nor is it trying to be - it’s a lovely friendly local chippy for local people....

Myself and my husband love this chippy. The chips are crispy and fluffy. The fish is fresh and the battered sausage is so tasty! We have recently moved out the area and we are missing this place already. Staff great, prices great along with fab food. Definitely recommend.

I don't like to moan about one of the few "ordinary" places left in this area but ... cod and chips twice and two teas £20 ... service friendly and considerate ... good sized portions .. but ... if I ran a restaurant I would not want everything you touched in terms of sauce bottles / table tops to feel very slightly clammy. Nice room, but .. fish a bit tired; chips plenty of them but nothing to write home about. Shame because I think given the very nice position facing Cranley Gardens and bright decor, it could be really good if they upped their game a little.

We went to have a quick snack but ended up having a meal. We ordered some chips and some nuggets if I remember right. They served less amount than was written on the board. We told them and they said we were wrong, even the board proved we were right... Rude owners

Nice fluffy chips, lightly battered fish as it should be so was a very nice feed probably best fish and chirp in the area (N4-N8-N19) However the thing that made my visit uncomfortable was the staff , who after I paid for my order with Apple Pay and sat at my table , waited for my food and when it arrived then began to hassle me while I was eating my meal and trying to make me pay in cash , despite the fact I had already paid for my meal using Apple Pay and had confirmation to prove it..all was resolved in the end but nonetheless did make my visit much less pleasant than it otherwise would have been. Would visit again but would not feel comfortable with the slightly odd (and unfortunately all male) staff!

Tasteless mushy veg spring roll, dry chicken wings and crispy chips with over cooked oil taste...cannot eat so still hungry!!!
