The London vegan scene is buzzing with new vegan innovations. But then why is it so hard to find a vegan cafe in London that sells vegan croissants regularly ? Because, there is none, except, THE FIELDS BENEATH. And this one does not show up on google search. A fully vegan authentic bakery still does not show up on google. Because the website's branding of the bakery and product is not crystal clear. The website does not tell humans what this place is actually, and well then how can poor google figure that out! Well I figured it out after a lot of digging, and because I was there also a couple of years back too. It is a small place in a Kentish town neighbourhood, and it has the perfect atmosphere. The croissants (plain, almond, and chocolate) were fresh and delicious. Yes please! Their croissants are rightfully legendary and delicious, stuffed and filled to the perfection. Along with croissants, I had hot soothing golden milk, made from their own paste, a very simple and exquisite drink. I can say again that golden milk is exquisite. The staff was very nice and friendly. Service was quick and the barista was buzzing along with a great attitude. Overall, great vibes and ambience. No worries of cross-contamination or hidden ingredients. A must visit! I highly recommend anyone to visit, but for vegans this is paradise!

My regular lunch stop of the cycle ride back from Hampstead was shut so decided to give The Fields Beneath a go and what a wonderful surprise it was! I was the only veggie in our small group but we all thought the vegan food was simply delicious, two of us devoured the Indian style toasted pav baps with gusto and sausage roll was also moreish and had a nice texture. The almond croissant was good but could have had a bit more frangipane in it - the passionfruit lemonade and coffees crowned the lunch. Outdoor seating under the railway bridge is a great space for people watching and the bridge protects you from the sun or rain and I always love it when we can lock our bikes next to us for extra safety. The small shop sells natural, biodynamic wines, they organise regular wine tastings which must be great if you a local. Or you can bring in your own 750ml container and fill it with a popular wine choice from the tap, thereby reducing the carbon footprint of your tipple considerably. Highly recommended!

This place is opposite my best friends, so I swing by when visiting. The coffee is some of the best in London. But it also just had a really nice relaxed feel. The plant selling, the nice pastries. All works so well.

Love love love the Fields Beneath! Whenever I’m in the Camden/Kentish town area I make sure to come by for at least a coffee! The food is amazing, the coffee tastes great and you’ll have to look hard to fin friendlier staff. If you’re in London and looking for a cozy, friendly & all vegan(!!!) cafe, this is the place to go. The vegan croissants are amazing and even my non-vegan dad loves them to. They also sell natural wine and plants!!

A beautiful little cafe nestled beneath Kentish Town station, serving delicious, nourishing food. My £6 bowl of yellow pea and vegetable stew with rice was rich, flavoursome and just the right side of spicy. The coffee was smoothly roasted and creamy. It's also a cafe with a big heart, opening on Fridays 5-8 pm to sell bowls of pasta for £5, from which £4 goes straight to help Chris, the homeless guy living outside beneath the bridge, into accommodation. You leave with a full tummy and a warm feeling that cafes - and kindness - like this are what make this world keep spinning.

We loved our lunch at Carrots and Daikon yesterday. I had the garlic tofu Banh mi and my husband had the tofu lunch box. The baguette forming my Banh mi was the perfect combination of crunch with a soft centre and the tofu was nicely garlicky. What really made our day were the ice creams! The chrysanthemum and mango ice cream was such a fantastic combination and the matcha and pistachio was delicious too. We then bought one of each of the other flavours and I must admit that the combinations are creative genius! Who would’ve thought that mint choc chip would go with coffee and raspberry and jasmine tea with its floral notes would hit the spot?! I thought that the coconut and lemongrass was super refreshing too. Thank you to the friendly folk at C & D.

Opened last year or early this year..very pleasant and airy bar / cafe, which if you're arriving early for a meeting or finishing early, is a nice place to chew over the errors in your recent ritual meeting! As usual in London all a bit pricey but very convenient after a meeting in the Temples. Very bright and tastefully decorated with the usual good staff.
