The Ferry Inn in Pembrokeshire

This feels like a really gem of a place! The food was bursting with flavour and was delicious! The pub has a great laid-back vibe with a nautical themed interior that is tasteful and full of character. The beer garden looks really nice. I'd imagine it's great when the sun is shining!

Loved it , me and Mrs enjoyed our food, my pasta was awesome

Wasn't sure what to make off the place when I saw it online (no website) and when we turned up. Definitely a "never judge a book by it's cover". I was pleasantly surprised. Bizarre location but the food was decent and the service attentive and friendly.

We spend 40£ for two huge meals. It was delicious- sea food pasta, half chicken BBQ and 2 drinks. So good

A funny little place. Not what I was expecting from the menu / photos but staff were friendly and atmosphere good. Pub was busy when we went on a Friday night. I was disappointed that there were no specials offered in the evening (the waitress said these are only offered at lunchtime which was odd and a shame as I was looking forward to some interesting seafood dishes). Nonetheless the garlic cockles were pretty good although the seafood pasta was a slight disappointment. All in all a good meal and very reasonable but not the amazing food I was hoping for. On balance 4.5 stars for food / atmosphere / price but awarding 4 as I only give 5 when I'm blown away!

Food was amazing, definitely recommend penne pasta with chicken and mushroom. Quiet as out of season but definitely worth a visit.

What a lovely little boozer this is. Nicely decorated, like a proper pub. Very friendly greeting and treated really nicely throughout. The food was a lot better than I was anticipating. I'd simply gone for the option of Southern-fried-chicken-and bacon-dirty-fries but they'd obviously used good quality ingredients (particularly the choice of cheese) and taken care over them because they were really tasty. My 9 year old had opted for chicken nuggets from the kids menu but when they turned up, they not only looked good but were declared the best chicken nuggets ever. The menu was a lot more interesting than I've made it sound here, we'd just gone for something simple. Anyway, it was a very pleasant surprise, that we'd stumbled upon as it was about the only place serving food at half past 4 in the afternoon. Will definitely be going back again.

Once again a fabulous Sunday lunch, staff professional and very friendly, we will definitely be back and will try a week day visit with the dog he'll probably sniff out the treat jar on the bar.👍👍

Our visit to The Ferry Inn was a great way to spend a Saturday evening. The food was delicious, service was fast, friendly and professional. Good selection on the menu. We chose fish and chips and very impressed.

On New Years Eve had a fantastic roast dinner, it was delicious! Really great atmosphere & such friendly staff, highly recommend! Would definitely go again! 😃

Taken out for Sunday lunch. Turkey dinner was amazing. The only small issue was it was quite dark, which many would like, but my wife's vision is not good so it was a little difficult for her to see to eat

Nice pint, nice people. In a unique situation tucked away under the imposing modern road bridge. But this somehow adds to it's charms, so don't let that put you off. We never sampled the food but other customers seemed to be enjoying their victuals.

Fantastic place. As a gluten intolerant, I was delighted and full by the end of our first meal here. GF seafood tagliatelle... with the biggest king prawn on top, lots of mussels etc. Very tasty, and too full to try the gf lemon meringue pie! Sunday roast the next day was sublime, I was impressed enough by other people's plates... that I took the risk to have the normal Yorkshire, as they didn't have gf. They were diligent and the kitchen double checked with me, to ensure I was aware of any consequence. I even signed a statement to ensure I was aware and happy to risk it. It was so worth it and because I am managing my intolerance, I only had mild symptoms. Best roast dinner I've had for a while. Thank you. Oh, I had a piece of the gf LMP to take away after Sunday dinner, too full again, and it was phenomenal.

Excellent Sunday lunch with big portions of meat, veg and potatoes !! Service was very hectic but seemed like they had it under control and had no issues with service times or wait on food. It is a very small restaurant/bar and the only complaint/recommendation would be to keep the bar tables for drinkers only as you seem like you are in the way as you have to wait at the bar if you arrive early.

Extremely dissapointing experience. The location is nice, the place itself was good, but interior could of done with a "tidy up". But honestly the food was just bad. As a started we went for specials - 1. Crispy lamb - presentation was nice, but lamb itself super dry, and not seasoned. 1. Fish cake - also bland. I guess the chef never heard of seasoning. The mains we went for 1. Fish (Seabass i think it was) and 1. Mixed grill. Fish was bland, and sauce was sour (like a gone of milk, and no its not supposed to taste like that) Mixed grill was disgusting. The portion could of easily fed three people. The meat was so bad, even the dog picked on the pieces of meat which to eat and which not to eat. Overall spent £76 for dog to have food. I never thought im going to say this, however I've had better meals in Weatherspoons. Shame.

Popped in for a roast and it was fantastic. Huge portions, good vegetarian option, lots of veg, good roasties and Yorkies, whole boat of gravy. Lovely view outside too!

First time here and just been for the Sunday lunch with my daughter. The food was excellent, good portions, proper stuffing, roasters and yorky pudding. Beef cooked to perfection and a lovely selection of vegetables. The Manager and the staff were all really friendly and we sat outside, in the fab sunshine, overlooking the water. What’s not to like, will definitely be returning and would recommend to anyone.

Very frendly service with good food

Only drank here but very friendly, we were working on a construction site up the road and they were happy to have us every fri evening before the diners arrived.

One of best pub/restaurant I've been to all year food was incredible, service was 10/10 waiter was funny and kind. There was a bit of a wait for food but that's expected and took nothing of an already magnificent evening.

Great pub right by the river that has a great outdoor seating area, although it was raining the day we visited unfortunately. Great food with good size portions. Staff were very friendly but had to ask more than once a couple of times for drinks and sauces. We would definitely return again hopefully when it's sunny.

Really nice spot this Food was great and massive portions I had the mixed grill it was brilliant although seriously let down by the Richmond style sausage And no egg The rest of the meat was really very good My wife had fish and chips also very good with nice light batter They did give me fry’s instead of garlic potatoes but I didn’t mind

We really enjoyed it. My husband had the Indian burger which was recommended to him by a friend and I had the beef burger. Both very tasty. I only removed 1 star because the coffee was terrible. So I would definitely come back but not have the coffee. The service was friendly and the location by the water is perfect for a nice relaxing drink.

The chicken curry had all the right accompaniments, was very meaty and flavourful without being too spicy, generous portions too....and Teddy loved the waitress, the bowl of water, and the biscuits. Thank you!

Lovely little pub,family friendly,had dinner for two,huge portions, fish was battered to perfection, no sogginess and the bbq chicken was beautiful, waitresses were friendly and service was fantastic,highly recommended

In dem Lokal herrscht eine super Atmosphäre. Das Perspnal ist zuvorkommend und nett. Alle Extrawünsche wurden erfüllt. Die Portionen waren riesig. Abseits der Touristenwege eine kleine Perle am Wasser.

We visited on a Friday at 6pm and whilst the restaurant was fully booked when we arrived there wasn't anyone else. Nevertheless they managed to ruin our experience as my wife's food arrived ten minutes before mine. Overall the service wasn't friendly and slow to react. The food isn't bad and there's a good selection of options.

Heartening to see the warm welcome, great food, epic beers and ambience return to the Ferry Inn. Such a cracking position for a pint overlooking the Estuary; it's a joy to see it well-managed and turning out such a quality experience. Special mention for the front of house team, who engage with such style that it's difficult not to love the experience

What a find, lovely pub, excellent food with large portions, friendly, helpful staff.

Great little find off the beaten track. Great food and great service. Portions are very large. I can recommend the lamb burger that comes topped with an onion bhaji. Lovely pint of Double Dragon as well. Ate here twice on our visit to Pembroke Dock. They are also dog friendly.

We just love it. Never a bad meal and good served all day. Dogs welcome indoors too . My mum is in a wheelchair and they are exceptionally accommodating.

Visited while working in the area and wow! Definitely didn’t need a starter or a side of onion rings as the meals were very generous. The menu itself was great but the specials were well thought out! Great pub and very dog friendly with treats on the bar for furry friends. Very good lager too in good glasses. Would definitely return as the menu was excellent.

Went for Sunday lunch, 2 chicken, 2 lamb and 1 beef. The food was excellent as was the service. Would highly recommend.

Went for 2 meals over 2 days and both times the staff were friendly but the food was parts excellent and parts less so. Both meals I had the meat was excellent (prawn skewers and sea bass) - in particular the sea bass special - but the potatoes were far too undercooked both times. Likewise my partners sf chicken and dirty fries had too much coronation mayo but her seafood linguine was excellent. Prices a little high for the area but generally worth the visit

Very bad veg roast on Sunday. Vegetables on the side were just boiled. Cauliflower was also not seasoned. Sea Bream was good but no credit to the chef. Made no effort seasoning it or seasoning the salad that came with it

Lovely food and excellent staff

Das schön eingerichte Lokal liegt etwas abseits am Wasser. Die Bedienung war freundlich und die Preise sehr fair. Die Portionen waren üppig. Die eigentlichen Gerichte waren lecker, das Gemüse dafür sehr bissfest und ungewürzt. Da ist Luft nach oben, dennoch waren wir insgesamt zufrieden.

I highly recommend this restaurant to all pet owners. The staffs were exceptional - they not only provided excellent service, but also gave my dog treats and attentively catered to our needs. Their service is worthy of a 5-star rating.

We ate at the Ferry Inn and very much enjoyed the experience. There was a good view of the Cleddau, friendly local staff and friendly locals too. The portions were very generous, the food quality excellent and good value for money. I even canoed back from the car park!

I was on a business trip and was looking for somewhere nice to eat after a long day. Found the ferry inn around 8pm and they greeted us and allowed us to eat (they close at 9pm) Lovely service, 10/10 and decor is great including view of the water! The food was phenomenal!! didn’t take too long and was absolutely DELICIOUS!! I had the Mediterranean pie with salad, and buttery garlic potatoes! Incredible. Highly recommend this place!

We just happened upon this fantastic restaurant/pub. We only intended to have a quick drink and a packet of crisps! The young barmaid was very welcoming and friendly and offered us a menu. There was so much choice so yes, we stayed to eat. The food was absolutely delicious and the cheesecake was devine. We will definitely be back. The Ferry Inn is a little hidden gem.

Really lovely gastro style pub. The food was great, if a little expensive for Pembroke Dock, but a treat to have such a good chef locally. The decor was nice and it was lovely and warm. Brilliant opening hours, especially for the winter and nice bar lady. But why oh why would you cover the beautiful views out of the windows with those massive plants 😳😁
