There’s a bit of a dichotomy about this pub. The location is just lovely and especially so on a sunny day with the cracking beer garden right by the waters edge to sit in. Like other reviewers, I can’t fault the food. It is damn tasty, the portions are good and it is presented in a modern but not pretentious way. But the surroundings are at odds with the food that is presented with care and attention to detail. The chairs are grubby and contact/ Lino that has been applied to some of the tabletops is visibly peeling and chipped. There are chunks of paint missing from the walls in places. The decor in the ladies bathroom is pretty outdated and not in keeping with the attempt to modernise the rest of the interior of the pub. Also it could badly do with replacing the chair in the bathroom with a compact changing table. There’s nowhere to put the changing mattress that’s in there apart from on the fooor?! In my opinion, if you welcome families, there’s a need for a proper changing facility. Food is fab, staff are lovely, location is super. Pub itself just needs a bit of TLC really.

Managed to book a table at short notice on Easter Sunday due to a cancellation and what a slice of luck!! Everything from the warm welcome to the excellent food (including presentation) to the efficiency of the staff was absolutely first class. This certainly won’t be my first and last visit, well done all you are a credit. Oh and for the first time in a while the gravy arrived with the meat and veg 😀

Have been coming somewhat regularly since 2021, had really enjoyed each visit and left a previous positive review. However last time we visited was for a family members birthday - the weather took a crazy turn on our way and it was a miracle we found a road not too flooded to get there. Some of the family are local to the restaurant and got there on time, however the birthday girl and the rest of the family were delayed due to the road conditions. We were greeted by a rude member of staff declaring that we are late and will mess up table bookings - when I sat at the table my sister said she had been rude to her also while she was waiting for us, and then my mother asked if we could finish our starters before the mains came as they started to bring them out, she was told that it was not possible and it was our fault for being late. The place was mostly empty, and we hung around at the water side for 30 mins or so afterwards and noone else came in. The food was great but the service was unbelievably poor for the price paid. Most of our family work in hospitality/catering and it was a shock to the system to experience this off of the young, I can only assume, manager. We haven't been since as it has kind of ruined our enjoyment of the place now.

The Ferry Inn Sunday Roast is an absolute delight! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect Sunday meal. The roast itself is cooked to perfection, with tender meat and a generous portion of delicious sides. The gravy is rich and flavorful and the veg was colourful and beautiful. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring a great dining experience, starting with a warm welcome, with then being checked on efficiently. The staff couldn’t do enough. Overall, it's a fantastic place to enjoy a traditional Sunday roast with family and friends. Highly recommend!

What a great little find this was. We called in mid afternoon as most places had already stopped serving and The Ferry Inn was just a minute off our route. Lovely inside bar area, goid choice of drinks, a waitress that went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and entertaine our grand daughter. We had six adult meals and a few deserts. Portions were very generous, the food was cracking. Couldn't fault a thing, ten out of ten and I'd most definitely go back.

We booked a week in advance over the phone for a table for four adults, a toddler and a baby, explained we would need a high chair and space for a pram if they could accommodate, they reassured us this was not a problem. Received email confirmaion of the booking. Upon arrival on the day they did not have a table for us, in fact we were offered a table outside in the spitting rain on a cold day! Other than that we were turned away. Whats the point in taking bookings in advance if they cannot organise them. Being a Sunday we were unable to get an alterantive booking near by. We were taking family out who were visiting us that weekend. Such a dissapointment.

Well where do I start, visited Mon 14th 6pm after looking at reviews and seeing as it was my wife 60th wanted to make sure got a nice decent place. Well from walking in and being met by a very polite young lady who let us choose where to sit and then giving us time to look at a very decent menu to then taking our order for starters and mains. My wide had garlic mushrooms in a sauce and I had the bbq chicken and they were both delicious and a decent portion, Our mains soon followed which we both had 12oz gammon, chips, peas, egg and pineapple which were a very decent portion size and absolutely delicious with even the chef popping out for a chat as to how the food was and a lovely server stopping for a chat a few times. Dessert had to be done which was the chocolate fudge cake and ice cream which the slice was very generous indeed and my wife had ice cream scoops. The pub is lovely clean and tidy with great views especially in the summer months and the team on duty all very polite and friendly,we will certainly be back and I'd go out my way to comeback even if not close by. This place is a Gem.

Had a roast dinner here this month and did enjoy it, however felt very squashed in as we were wedged between two other tables. Other tables had far more space at other ends of the restaurant but didn’t like how both parties to our sides had to bump our table to get past and to leave the restaurant. Dinner was tasty and had lots of flavour but the amount of meat given was very poor. I paid for extra meat for an additional £3 and was met with a slither or two extra at best. Meat all tasted nice but for the meal price being over £20, it certainly wasn’t worth it. My partner had chicken and her portion was far larger, despite being £5 less than mine. Staff were great, can’t fault them at all, and the decor was brilliant - clearly a lot had been spent to make it the way it is. Overall, nice meal but far too cramped in there and poor red meat portions.

The only stars I have given are for the really lovely waitress who brought us our food and drinks, she was very kind, and very helpful. The Food ( Sunday Roast) The roast potatoes looked like the fake coal pieces you see on Grandma's gas fire, they were so hard I decided not to risk it owing to recent expensive dentistry by the way of composites on two front teeth, though my kids assured me that they " taste funny Mummy" The Broccolli looked so overcooked I actually started feeling sorry for it, and considered taking it home, re planting it in some vane attempt to resuscitate it, the cheese sauce was so badly split it looked like it was going through a nasty divorce with the roux, and the turnips? I put a question mark at the end of it as I couldn't be sure what it was and didn't have a botanist handy and a taste test of the mush offered no clues either. The meat was nice, and the solitary parsnip was nice too. Making a Roast Dinner is something that Mums and Wives have successfully done for over a century, the phrase " I love Mums Roast dinners" uttered by grown up kids all over the country is testament to that, I suggest the Chef employs either his Mum, or someone else's to cook the dinners in the future.

There is a small pebble beach and a nice veranda seating area, sadly although the sign outside stated it was open 12:00 to 21:00 everyday apart fron Sunday when it closes at 20:00 the door was locked and it was in darkness. Not even a note on door to say closed or apologise. We went over the bridge to the Jolly Sailor which is opposite. We may try again if we are passing as we are in the area for a few days.

Went out for a meal with my fiancé and her family. Sunday lunch was okay… the roast potatoes were rock hard and beef a bit chewy though. Although I have eaten here before and had no complaint so thought maybe just an off day. I’m not usually one to complain however it was only until the end where we were overcharged for two drinks, so I went back in and I politely said we had been overcharged, only for a waitress across the room to accuse me of not paying and saying I definitely didn’t. I thought this was really rude, saying it In front of everyone. It was only until the waitress behind the bar found our order and realised we had paid and then refunded us. She politely apologies even though doing nothing wrong however the one who accused me did not and I thought this was very rude. As a local person who lives less than a 5 minute walk and visits for drinks frequently I am disappointed. Not impressed with how she accused me.

Called in for a bite to eat with my wife and daughter on Monday 6th and we’re glad we did. Although we ordered starters , we waited and our mains came out ! The waitress seemed a little embarrassed as she had forgot to put them through. We were given a big apology and told we could re- order. As our mains were ready we decided to skip the starter. My wife had gammon, my daughter the firecracker chicken curry and I had chicken curry served in a garlic naan with a nice cooling salad. Midway through the waitress came over , again apologising and saying that a dessert each was on the house…….. a lovely gesture. We had ice cream, sticky toffee pudding, which my daughter found absolutely delicious, and a sticky toffee cheesecake which was also delicious but had a base more like a sponge than a bisquit. To finish my daughter had travelled to Liverpool a few days before and had eaten a curry in Gordon Ramseys restaurant which wasn’t a patch on the one she was served today which we relayed to the chef! 👍🏻we will call again.

Nonetheless the garlic cockles were pretty good although the seafood pasta was a slight disappointment. All in all a good meal and very reasonable but not the amazing food I was hoping for. What a lovely little boozer this is. Nicely decorated, like a proper pub. Very friendly greeting and treated really nicely throughout. The food was a lot better than I was anticipating. I'd simply gone for the option of Southern-fried-chicken-and bacon-dirty-fries but they'd obviously used good quality ingredients (particularly the choice of cheese) and taken care over them because they were really tasty. My 9 year old had opted for chicken nuggets from the kids menu but when they turned up, they not only looked good but were declared the best chicken nuggets ever. The menu was a lot more interesting than I've made it sound here, we'd just gone for something simple. Anyway, it was a very pleasant surprise, that we'd stumbled upon as it was about the only place serving food at half past 4 in the afternoon. Will definitely be going back again.

Our visit to The Ferry Inn was a great way to spend a Saturday evening. The food was delicious, service was fast, friendly and professional. Good selection on the menu. We chose fish and chips and very impressed.

Taken out for Sunday lunch. Turkey dinner was amazing. The only small issue was it was quite dark, which many would like, but my wife's vision is not good so it was a little difficult for her to see to eat

Absolutely the best Indian meal I have had in such a long time . The waiters were all very friendly and attentive . They helped us pick our food choices and they didn’t get it wrong . Plenty of delicious flavours . We will definitely go back in a heart beat . Plenty of parking and a lovely clean restaurant

Booked a table at 6pm for my fathers 85th birthday. Arrived at 5.55pm stood in restaurant to be told our table wasn't ready yet and to sit in the bar and have a drink . Tables were all pre laid and at that point in time we were the only customers in the entire restaurant. Went to bar, no staff , waited until a staff member came along asked for 2 gin and tonics and was told he couldn't serve me. Another member of staff came along and served us. At this point our table was ready. Service was slow and the staff seem very half hearted about serving you , almost as though they couldn't be bothered. Food was very well presented but dessert (Xmas pudding ) was just luke warm. A plate with happy birthday and 3 macaroons was presented at the end of the meal which was a nice touch. All in all a bit disappointing for a meal that came to almost £160 Ior 3 people I expected better.

We live in the village. Keen to support local business ... but sorry... Awful. The food was awful! Dry and old. They did offer an alternative but it was SO awful that I was happy to leave. Never again.

Nice place in Tenby to go for a breakfast, especially if your vegan or vegetarian. The vegan breakfast was tasty and well proportioned. The latte was also nice.

Delicious food, huge portions. Super-friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Excellent veggie selection. Highly recommended!
