Great pub and atmosphere made very welcome.

The management and staff catered for a wake for my cousin. It was absolutely packed the food was outstanding they were so busy but they never faultered still smiling. I can not thank them enough for them going above and beyond my expectations the atmosphere was great. But the team at the farmers boy were beyond brilliant. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing JASON so proud.

Been waiting for the order for more than 30 minutes. So, I have ordered deaperados burger the patty is very hard and chips are soggy 🤮. Couldn't finished my order. The table is very dirty and sticky and flies are everywhere. Plus the toilet is stinks and dirty. Never coming back!!!

A very cosy traditional pub but with all the modern amenities for entertainment, caters for events, and offers excellent food.The staff are warm and most welcoming.

This was a quick stop off on the way to football. Didn't eat here but good menu. Good selection of drinks, friendly and clean.

We rang up to enquire about ordering two breakfasts from the breakfast menu. Despite them only delivering on certain days and having no drivers working, the chap (presumably owner) asked where we lived and said he would deliver to us anyway. We ordered two Mega Breakfasts and just over 20 minutes later, the gentleman was on our doorstep with our order. We were fully prepared to pay for the £2 delivery as stated on the flyer however they didn’t want it, insisting that because it wasn’t a proper delivery, they weren’t going to charge us the £2 fee. The breakfast itself was restaurant quality and as good as anything you would get at a certain pub chain nearby. Sausages, crispy bacon, hash browns, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans, two eggs — all cooked to perfection. Couldn’t fault it and plenty of toast, too. Photo hopefully does it justice. It’s clear why the new owners have turned this place around. Exceptional quality and customer service, highly recommend.

Always made to feel so welcome by everyone here! Stuart, Sue and Kane serve up great food, tried most the menu and not had a bad dish yet!

Stu and Sue are great chefs and even better people I love coming here every wednesday and trying their meals

The food is well prepared and comes out in a short time the staff are well friendly and have a laugh

What can I say this place is highly fantastic starting with the roast dinner I had which was fantastic so big thanks to the chef, the place is so easy to get to with parking for everyone. well done to Adam & the team for the great hospitality and made our afternoon feel special from walking through the door… highly Recommended will definitely be visiting again….value for money guaranteed

Visited the pub for the first time since its been under new management. Asked for the steak well done was grately surprised that for the first time in 16 years of eating out at various places that I haven't had to send a steak back to be redone where its come under. Fantastic meal would highly recommend and will be visiting again in the near future. Warm and friendly staff good service and couldn't have asked for more

Me and my family went here tonight and the food was amazing 🤩 we all ate every bit and the drinks were great too... My kids enjoyed the park outside too. Will definitely be going back. Thanks guys

THIS PUB IS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT We visited the Farmers Boy yesterday to show support for our local pub on their grand opening We were greeted with a smile from friendly staff and shown to our table The pub itself looked in a good, clean and tidy condition, we are always weary of trying new food venues and usually stick to our regular places that we can trust. The food was of good quality and the service was fantastic, the price of our meal and desert was very reasonable for the portion sizes We will definitely be returning and would recommend this venue Thank you

Me and my colleague took our 2 service users for their tea last Thursday and we were greeted by the most rude person there .. straight away she told us if we hadn't pre-booked the table we couldn't sit in the restaurant area as it was supposedly fully booked so we sat in the bar area . Ordered our food and again as she's taking my order she keeps saying that next time I should booked . One of our service user was unsettled so my colleague took her home and I stayed to have our food . She wanted a cup of tea , ordered it , took few minutes to come and to top it off when I poured the milk in it , milk had gone off ..told the young waitress , she brought another one finally ..put it this way , would not step inside again if you paid me .. horrendous ..don't know where that person learnt about customer service but considering pub trade has suffered during covid you would think they would happy to get customers not pushing them away

The manager is horrible I ordered some drinks and felt like I was being targeted my big brother went in gave provisional license as ID and she looked at it and let him straight through half hour later I turn up to meet them she looks at my ID and says "we don't usually accept this form of ID which she legally has to as there is no other possible ID people use for this type of thing and she was horrible service absolutely disgraceful place the second I walked in she tilted her head giving me dirty look assuming cause I'm small as brother got in and I nearly did not. Definitely strongly don't recommend

Ordered a vegetarian burger for my partner who has been a vegetarian for years o be given a meat burger. When I questioned them I was reassured that what I ordered was what I was given. After questioning me they got a menu to see wht I had ordered was indeed vegetarian. Just to be told that we can do you another one. No proper apology or anything. If that wasnt bad enough you have children constantly coming in and out with no supervision. Pub is a disgrace would definitely not recommend

Lovely food, staff are friendly and it's nice to be able to go for a meal as a family and there be an outside play area for my children.

I had the Desperados nacho burger, definitely worth it! The chips were spicy, so good. Will be coming back cause its so friendly, you can even bring your dog!

The landlady is a bossy cow, no customer service quality, picks on young children that are only sitting down, threatens customers that she will have them arrested for drink driving yet we got a taxi, absolutely vile woman, a dictator NOT a landlady!!!!

Place is decorated very nicely. Staff were very friendly. It was nice and relaxed atmosphere which I enjoyed. They had three real ales available of which i had the wainwrights, it was ok. All in all enjoyed my visit.

Had a breakfast.beans where just warm egg was swimming in grease puddle of grease on the plate and streaky bacon service very slow won't be going again nothing more certain

I was impressed with the new outlook to The pub, it was long needing an update. On arrival we were welcomed and sat to a table, we was greeted by the staff and given chance to order food. I was impressed by the food it was really good quality, as was the service provided to us. I enjoyed the atmosphere and wine. My only negative was the amount of flies that was around us whilst eating, this isn't as much as the pubs fault but more so we sat at table 1 by the doors. I would defiantly go there again and eat and drink.

Lovely little place to eat with park for the kids 😁 although the kids pudding was limited they still found a diary free option for my little boy 😁. Maybe just need to add jelly for the kids menu... Will be returning with the family soon

Cold dank and the local wildlife is ?

Appalling place! There’s traces of cocaine on all the windowsills, cocaine bags behind all the toilets (nothing will be done about it), the toilets are never cleaned and the mens toilets absolutely stink. The kitchen is also filthy. The staff DO NOT get paid for the long hours they have worked. The pub will get shut down again soon, 3 managers since it reopened 5 weeks ago and another one coming soon.

Dont ever have a party there they charge you for disco even tho regular disco there ever sat plus you pay to have party there no separate room open to public so you payin for your guests to go in right ripp off

Very quiet in afternoon NO ALES only usual lager. Cider. One bottled beer Newcastle brown ale. Typical housing estate pub very poor. Gone downhill from a couple of years ago.
