Live in Thorne, enjoyed my night, but the lady's toilet was very bad, smells BAD!!!

No ale on tape, only newcastle brown in the fridge...

Not stayed in the hotel part myself so can't comment on that. Friday and Saturday evenings are great though, their resident Dj Daz makes it a fantastic night full of karaoke and classic tunes.

Excellent service friendly bar staff

I stay one night with 8 months baby. All night was so much cold. The hiting doesn't work at all and was no one who cam fix it. Not recommended at all

We have stopped here a few times never had a problem till this time the staff need to communicate with each other realy felt unwelcome from start to finish we asked if we could book in for breakfastand was told No cos we should of told them when we booked the room I did ask and was told they had no chefs and when we released they was doing breakfast asked again was told not enough food for us and I do feel disappointed as the staff told me if I put a bad review on she would get into trouble well I am sorry but you should put your paying guests first will not be stopping again

Clean, nice, pleasant stuff,just a bit cold in a room.

I stayed for 1 night . The reception is in the pub and the barmaid had to pull few pints before I booked and in.quick service though. The room was very clean and warm. The bathroom was immaculate and quite big.although I was in a single room there was still plenty of space . The bedding was smart and fresh and the room well decorated . No complaints

Think this is more of a party hotel than a family one. Room smells a little musty. Came to check in and they had rock music on a large flat screen tv so loud we couldn’t hear what the gentleman behind the bar was saying. Lots of shouting and patying going on outside until about 1am so had trouble sleeping. Other guests noisy could here them talking and banging doors and then at 430 heard there phone alarms going off so not much sleep for either of us all night. Apart from that they were friendly and helpful rooms worth what we paid.

Very nice, good location near shops, quiet rooms, large comfortable room, with ensuite bathroom, nice staff.

This pub is great. The people who drink here are fun. The bar staff including me are excellent. But not all. One needs re-education in race relations and manners. But the owners 100% and the Fairgreen family. Fantastic.

Looks nice from the outside, no staff around for queries, had to pick keys from safe box outside, then instructed to go to the room via the booking confirmation. Upon entering the room I saw that it wasn't all that great, it was cold and uninviting, the only saving grace was that it was carpeted, unlike the last place I stayed in night before last, the bathroom was freezing cold and the towel heater/radiator didn't work, I managed to have a shower which was great as it was blistering hot and I managed to keep my skin after trying to work the inadequate controls to 45° temp. The tea/coffee facilities were adequate, and helped me keep warm, due to the size of the radiator wasn't big enough to warm the room properly, but eventually it did get warm, my works van was warmer than that room!!!!! even though I slept in my Pj's (which I was glad I packed, for 'just in case'). I also thought to myself that I would get the spare blanket out to put over the bed so that it would help me keep warm through the early hours when the heating goes off, well I wish I didn't look at it😩😩, as I saw there were dark red stains on it, I braved it and sniffed it (cos that the type of person I am) and it stank of what I knew to be of ladies menstruation, believe me I know the smell (being an ex squaddy), so I put that back rather sharpish, I even showed my colleague to verify what I found because it does sound very out landish. This isn't something that I take lightly and would make up. If you're hoping to take advantage of the free WiFi I'd think again, there is no WiFi available, I tried on my phone and my tablet to no avail. Also to top it off at 1am people were in and out of the doors, slamming it all the time, shouting and singing down the corridor then at 4am there was someone singing again in the corridor, I thought it was at 5am, but my colleague said it was actually earlier (I was so tired I couldn't even read my watch properly), if it weren't for the fact that I was trying to keep warm and waking up at 6am for work, I would of got up to tell him to shut the f**k up, any way my colleague knocked on my door at 07.20 to show me what looked like the singing bloke lying drunk/drugged up in the corridor, still trying to belt out a tune and staggering around the corridor, so we made our escape rather quickly. In a nutshell (a bad day in beruit would of been better than here), needless to say I won't be recommending this place to anyone, I've stayed in some s**t holes in my time but this takes the biscuit, if I could give it 0⭐'s I would.

Cheap drinks, pool table, nice friendly staff

Always a great meal at the fair green. Good prices and a friendly atmosphere. I've also been to a few functions here and every time the staff have done a great job at hosting the celebration

Start with the positive - staff friendly and helpful and breakfast was lovely hence the 2 stars otherwise I would have given no stars. Now the negative - the first room we were given first of all should be charged at £10 a night as it was so shabby, there was only 1 bath towel and 1 cup and on further investigation dirty sheet obviously it hadn't been properly cleaned after the last person. We asked for another room which we were given, it was much nicer but absolutely freezing. There was no hairdryer apparently you have to ask for one which I wasn't messing about with at 5.30 in the morning when I had noticed there wasn't one but at least it had soap unlike the first room. Very overpriced for what you get. I have stayed in a lot of hotels and this was definitely the worst.

Basic accommodation, very clean and a warm welcome.

Only a one night stay in room 10. A single room that had just been very tastefully refurbished. Comfy bed and clean roomy bathroom. Evening meal and breakfast superb. Pub service really friendly and might benefit from some local ales. Only negative was the shower needed a bit more oomph! Otherwise would have been five. I hope their refurbishment plans go well and look forward to staying there again in the near future.

Busy but cheap and right in the middle of town

Excelent friendly and helpful staff. Nice clean room with comfortable bed and extremely clean ensuite facility. In centre of town so good for shops and pubs but heard no noise in my room. Would be definately recomending to anyone staying in the doncaster area.

Bar tender took a used glass from the bar and didn't wash it before filling it with wine... hygiene standards are awful

Stayed for a family event and used the function room , Fantastic staff, fantastic rooms, really impressed would stay again.

Very warm welcome and staff were always polite and friendly. Room itself was perfectly comfortable with an on ensuite and towels provided. The bar wasn't too my liking so much as I don't drink however, no noise could be heard from the room itself. Perfect place to stay if you're planning a trip away.

Called in for a drink when meeting a friend. It was full of the older generation but loved the atmosphere, staff was nice and polite. I never ate there but had a noisy on the menu and will probably try food in the near future

Only booked last minute for a family christening and what a fabulous hotel. Clean and fresh and staff so friendly. We had two bedrooms and both very clean and modern. Breakfast so delicious. We would definately recommend this hotel and we will be staying again.

Our family had a super night here at a wedding reception.

Attended a function at the Fair Green Hotel on Sunday. Staff were very pleasant, drinks were nicely priced, DJ was a bit rubbish but can't blame that on the venue I guess. A good time had by all. Buffet was excellent.

Cheap beer during happy hour 11am 6pm every day.

Stayed there as a contractor. Good food and atmosphere for my visit. Not for me as a holiday stop over.

Nice friendly atmosphere and professional service

Rooms were great, breakfast was lovely. Only downside was it doesn't open until midday which meant we couldn't check in and we went to the races and a night out which forced us to be back for midnight to check in as they locked the doors. It cut our night short.

Excellent, very friendly and helpful staff. I enjoyed the Thursday quiz which was informal and good natured fun. Good food at reasonable price and good beer especially the Stella!!

Very enjoyable meal with excellent hostpitality. Would certainly recommend!
