The Estuary Kitchen & Grill in Liverpool

Awful experience, the waitress was rude and clearly had better things to be doing. The portion sizes were a joke, multiple people complained while we were there and met with ‘it is what it is’. The food had no taste and cost £50 for a £5 meal, would not recommend. Please see attached for £7 cheesy bacon chips😂

Not a single clean table, with over 50 empty tables with each of them covered in either food or drink, left over plates, cups and cutlery, left within minutes 1/10

For some joke, my wife and I ordered a hamburger. We waited maybe 10 minutes. The hamburgers were cold, even the cheese didn't melt, only the fries were hot. We complained and the staff took it away after 5 minutes and brought it back, still cold. Another complaint was that we asked for a refund. International airport and the hamburgers, whoever made them should be fired. I don't recommend it.

Absolutely disgusting customer the guy at the bar mid 20's dark customer service was atrocious horrible attitude and aggressive. I request a formal grievance against him 30/08/24 4pm avoid!!!!!

None of the staff have any idea what day it is or where they are. Very run down

Food was passible. Staff were friendly. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired with a filthy floor and tables left uncleared and cleaned while we were eating. The tables in my photo were like that for at least 45 minutes.

Server behind till was very rude, unhelpful, got a simple order wrong and did not let us know her till was card only. Thankfully waitress who brought out our food was very helpful, made sure the order was correct and made extra effort to make sure all was OK. Not overly expensive for an airport, clean and tidy place.

Very expensive, I wouldn't mind paying so much since it's an airport but it was the worst burger I have ever attempted to eat. It was rock solid, burnt and cost £17.99 Avoid this place.

Do you have decaf? No. Do you have ice? No. Do you have the cider? Yes... but not in the fridge so it is warm. To be fair though, they refunded the out of date cider they sold us with 'Do not consume on it'😆

Absolutely disgusting service, staff are lovely, but obviously under staffed and run off their feet due to seeing a number of tables uncleaned and covered in plates etc… We are used to overpriced meals at the airports, but paid £10 for 2 plates of chips and literally got around 20 chips between them both. Dry and lifeless and barely warm. If I could leave zero stars I would. Avoid avoid avoid!!!

This was my first time at Liverpool airport. I went with my few friends as we all are vegetarians we were very confused with the food options we have. Then we met this guy “Amit” What a gem person he was. He was so helpful and helped us with delicious dishes in vegetation. This review is to appreciate that wonderful friend I made. Cheers to Amit .

Clean tables, friendly and helpful staff

Shocking place!! I waited for nearly 30 mins for a coffe and had to leave. There were only 2 people people in front of us and it was organised chaos. There was a 50 min wait for breakfasts… In the end we had to leave. Do not visit this place. It should be closed down. It’s not fit for purpose, especially a busy airport.

Joke of a burger, which is their most sold food apparently. Dry burger, chips were not good. tasty bbq sauce if I have to say a positive here. 18 quid btw

So expensive, wouldn’t mind if the food was nice! The rolls are so dry, waited ages for food to arrive, which wasn’t hot, had almost finished our drinks. Didnt seem adequately staffed. Lady taking money on till kept having to help out with serving food, causing constant queue.

The food was awful, poor ingredients, poorly presented and it was all stone cold, would never eat there again! The staff could care less when I mentioned it to them!

I didn’t think you go far wrong cooking a breakfast, I was wrong! Absolute rubbish do yourself a favour go somewhere else!

I think it should be standard now that gluten free and vegan options are clearly stated on the menu (or even have separate menus) so that staff do not need to go through a large book on the bar/till area and also not be able to put things easily through a till. I felt mortified I couldn't even order a gluten free roll (there's no gluten free bread or plant based butter), some tomatoes and mushrooms off a menu like any other customer. This situation took some time considering I needed to catch a flight, and I was also stopping a queue, because staff didn't know their menu or be able to facilitate what should have been a simple order. Also, fyi - the hot chocolate is not vegan. Terrible. Another gluten free customer was next to me having similar troubles, she said to me, 'This is an international airport and the 21st century, but this place is stuck in the 80s.' I agree.

Sorry to say the worst ever almond croissant - doughy breadlike with some bland almond paste in the middle. Coffee not very hot and not very strong. The girl with purple hair serving was sweet and apparently her own song was playing on the soundsystem. It was good. Please let her know as I didn't realise what she meant when she told me.

12.45pm wednesday 29th May went in for something to eat, No pizzas , garlic bread or anything along those lines.... staffs response - sorry dough still frozen, No lattes , only tea or black coffee ..... staffs response - so no milk. So ordered a plate of chips arrived in 20 seconds (obviously sat in the back pre cooked ) .. cold, looked more like scrap ends and anout 15 chips total cost £4.99 a disgrace , asked staff to change, he just shrugged and walked off. Other the the female on the till the floor staff were rude and ignorant and quite clearly didnt want to be there , avoid and use one of the other ones

I just want to say how friendly Jonathan was who took our order. Nothing was too much trouble and he had a lovely smile on his face especially at 7am in the morning! Food was lovely and cappuccino well done to all the staff.

Jonathan was a lovely young man , nothing was a problem for him even went and got us a real cup. He is a very happy person smile on his face and chatty, great service all round.

Badly managed and low staff moral food is mediocre at best, not convinced trained chefs cooking the food. Staff stand around chatting while tables have finished food on th and passengers are long gone. Bell rang in several occasions for food ready and ignored by serving staff. Must do better guys come on. I guess the lack of competition in the airport helps as now much to choose from and the price for semi cold food not good enough,From a former chef

Very polite and helpful young man at the bar. Ordered tea and toast, but he needed a table number. Can’t order food without a table number (?). Found a table, ordered toast, got tea, went back to table, someone was sitting there. Had to explain what was happening. A bit of a pain. Otherwise decent prices, friendly staff, toast was fine.

Ordered two bowls of porridge! The guy at the counter was great, very friendly. Unfortunately after waiting 20 minutes for the porridge, I had to go up and ask the kitchen about it, they said it was coming now. Waited another 5 minutes and went up again, the porridge was being placed into the warming rack. Pink haired waitress informed me she'd bring it down now. Waited another 5 minutes! Went back up and lifted it out of the warming rack myself while the waitress continued her conversation with a member of kitchen staff.

We've ordered fish and chips. The fish was mouth-watering. The fish was served traditional way on a piece of special paper, which was an imitation of real newspaper. The was an article about the history of fish and chips. And there was a bonus: a wordsearch! I've never eaten better fish before! W pytę Zbysia :) Greetings from Poland! Raw pizza (raw topping with out-of-date tomato sauce) The potatoes were old and uncooked...disgusting for an airport restaurant. Unacceptable like that....In my opinion the kitchen should be closed or everything that means chef or what would that be... You put to shame everything that means kitchen and food

We came here on our way to a 4 night break , we both had the same to eat , sausage toasties. When they arrived they were stone cold , God knows how because sausages stay hot for ages , they had either sat out or were not cooked properly! I sent it back and they reheated it , my husband was sick upon arrival to our destination and I have had stomach cramps and diarrhea for 4 days solid! 2 trips to the pharmacist with suspected food poisoning , €40 in medication and a ruined holiday...100% would never eat there again! *update* since this post I have had it confirmed by a doctor I've had salmonella poisoning no wonder I was so ill

Dreadful food. Small breakfast came "out of the oven". Bacon like rubber. Mushroom dried up and look of leather. Sausage, egg terrible quality. Beans cheap and luke warm. Overall, pretty much what I expected. AVOID.
