Friendly helpful staff, quick service, reasonably priced

Food is amazing I had the sizzler and it was delicious! portion sizes are just the right amount and service is first class and very friendly, I can highly recommend, we will definitely be back!

Fantastic service and food. Special deal on Wednesday 3 courses for £15 so was expecting perhaps smaller portion sizes. But was not disappointed with what I got and the food was delicious. I can highly recommend the gammon and more importantly the jam and coconut sponge with custard. Service was first class even though the restaurant was full. I would suggest booking a table if you want to go.

Have been on a few occasions . The food is of a high standard The staff are lovely and very helpful. I have a food allergy and they are very understanding and accommodating .we will be definitely returning.

Called for early lunch, 12pm so place wasn't really busy. Service was excellent as was the food, well worth a visit.

I had my husband's 50th birthday meal in the restaurant and there were 19 of us a mixture of adults and kids. The food and service was absolutely fantastic , the staff couldn't do enough for us and everyone agreed they would definitely be back to eat there again.

I never put any reviews on my page at all but I was absolutely disgusted today. Went to The Elk @Toomebridge for dinner. The food was beautiful so I can't complain about that. On arrival the place was very busy and they had Irish music which was fine, But what I thought was totally unacceptable was they then started to play oh ah up the Ra. Now anyone who knows me knows I couldn't care who u r or what religion u r but to be sitting in a family restaurant and this being blasted was not on at all. The couple beside our table went straight up to complain as they were a mixed couple. They again were disgusted by what they were hearing. They were told that they would turn it down. The young bar man when the couple left, turned around to another colleague and said O when he was giving off I just stood back and laughed. He was then asked if he thought it was bloody funny to which he replied he never said that. We know what we heard. There was no apology from the manager or anything. Always used the Elk for food but will never be back again. It's 2023 and if this was the other way round and they were playing some sort of loyalist music in a restaurant all hell would break loose. The Elk should be ashamed of themselves. A lot of tables left straight after this happened so no doubt there will be a lot of complaints.

Stopped here for lunch when out on the road. Great wee spot, good service, lovely food, very clean and a nice atmosphere. If ever passing this direction again I would definitely stop in.

A good place but sadly only 4 star rating due to shortage of staff most days resulting in long delays to get service at the bar. There should be more staff available to look after the bar as I have seen many customers walkout and heard others complaining of the bar service waiting time. Food is excellent and reasonably priced.I must add that the staff are terrific in spite of my notice that they were seemingly being overworked. This in my professional opinion is wrong.

Beautiful place. The working team is professional, quick to look after you, delicious end abundant portions of food; good price for a meal.

Don't believe the signs. I'd brought my retired mum to visit her Dad grave on his hundredth birthday so wanted to stop somewhere local for some food drink and perhaps to talk to locals to see if her uncles' families were still local. Despite the copious signage it isn't open daily from 12pm. Its shut in the week other than for functions according staff. The garden was large and looks like it might be quite nice in the sunshine when open. Also dont take staff advice on other pubs as the one we were directed is also shut.

Called in on way back from Donegal on a Sunday afternoon. Just about made it for the carvery (finishes at 3.30pm). Fantastic food and lovely friendly staff. Definitely a place to go to if ever passing that direction.

As i got ready with the boys to go jam out to pop tunes from 2015 on a friday night, i head there would be a fire breather foam party. As i recall at about ten o clock the boys were chattin up a few women so i decided to go to the dance floor and the foam man blew the foam cannon into my face and as i was choking and blinded the fire breather fell off his stilts and burnt my new rangers jersey definitely not coming back. Clubland it is.

Only been to restaurant but good food, lovely decor. On main road Belfast to Derry. Always a safe bet for food. Reasonably priced too. Salt n Chilli chops at amazing. Elk tower chicken great too

While the main course was good the desert was average at best. There was some major construction taking place at the time I visited but the food could be better.

What a weird name? What's complex about this place? Sort of says it doesn't quite know what it is. We popped into the restaurant early on a Saturday evening and were met with a smile and the offer of a table immediately. Menu was great, service very attentive and the food arrived quickly. Huge portions yet pretty reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

The best i can say about our meal in the elk is the staff are very friendly and surroundings are pleasant but im afraid thats it i had buffalo wings to start which were chicken and thats that my wife had chicken i bacon fromage in mushroom sauce and mash potatoes now the chicken was tasty but potatoes very stodgy and inedible i had sizzling combo stack in pepper sauce the steak strips were tough and chewy the chicken ok and the pepper sauce was ok but not that peppery NOW my wife had eton mess which was beautiful .Wont be back

If you're looking for Lough Neagh EEL, look no further... My husband and son love fish, and new experiences. So while we were in the North, we went to find some Lough Neagh Eel. We were just passing through, thought we'd have a little lunch. We walked around the cute little town and discovered...total eel free zone. While the herons pointed out where to wait for fresh eel, we were looking for something, well...cooked. Finally we bumped into a woman who made a call. Even though they don't serve Eel for lunch, and they weren't even open yet, the Elk agreed to host us. They showed us around the beautiful facility and the chef personally came out and told us about the preparation process. They loved it. Well, one of the highlights of our trip. Thank you Elk Complex.

Went here tonight with my partner and our 2 daughters, Fantastic quick service from Friendly staff..pleasantly greeted on way in and throughout. Highly Recommend. Lovely food and delicious dessert.

Total joke we were giving 20 minutes for our meal. Checking our plate every time they pass I will never set foot in the place again

Called in for a bite to eat while our daughter was in teen elk. Staff were very friendly and the food was fantastic we were even offered tea or coffee while we sat waiting afterwards top marks all round

This bar and restaurant is in a good location if travelling by car as easy to pull into the car park from the dual carriageway in either direction. We hadn't been here for years but were very impressed during our recent visit. Excellent food and great service. The decor is nice and the staff could not have been more helpful.
