Good food, reasonably priced and busy

Fantastic value for money. Good selection of food and drinks to choose from. This is my 2nd time coming here and I'm sure I'll be back again. Highly recommended.

Attended for a meal with my family. I have food intolerances and asked some questions about gluten free and vegan options. The waitress was really unhelpful and gave me next to no help or information to accommodate my food requirements - it was like trying to get blood out of a stone. Two family members asked for a bottle of wine with additional soda water in a jug and the waitress seemed like this was the hardest task to accomplish in the whole of human history. Food was bland and portions weren't big. Atmosphere would've been better if staff smiled now and again or were at the very least helpful. Would not go back and would not recommend.

Just back from the Dutch Inn, at first glance it doesn't look like much from the outside but once inside it's quite homely. We went for dinner after the Falkirk game. Great food, great service, staff were lovely and chatty. The food was huge portions, so much we couldn't eat it all. Would definitely go again. Could not fault the staff at all. Great day, great food and company with a win for Falkirk FC too. What a day!

Arrived at the Dutch Inn after hearing it had new owners and a refurb. Sat down and first impressions were good with the decor of the dining area. Of the three staff members on serving, one was quite friendly, one rushing about and the other had a very relaxed and laid back approach to things showing they didn't really care. Starters came out in a fairly decent time but instantly noticeable that that was because the Cheesy Garlic Bread was very undercooked. A side salad with the breaded mushrooms was covered in a vinaigrette that was not disclosed on the menu. The side portion of Garlic Mayo was enjoyable however, the soggy Breaded Mushrooms had already let the plate down. Nevermind, we were awaiting our steak pie. As it arrived at first glance it looked good, one of the better efforts we've found locally but that was only at first glance. Upon beginning to eat I found the peas and carrots were cold to touch and still had that toughness as if they were uncooked straight from a tin onto the plate. McDonalds style french fries aren't normally what you'd see with Steak Pie but unfortunately were the best thing on the plate. The Steak was very tough to eat with a feeling it had been in a pot simmering all day. Accompanied with pastry that in some countries you could use to build houses.

Went for lunch with friends, perfect service and food . Definitely recommend a visit here.

Popped in for a bite before heading home. And to my surprise had one of the best fish and chips for a very long time . The fish fell apart, the batter was a lovely colour. Chips accompanied in a bowl. Two meals, four drinks and a shade over 50 quid. Thought it was well worth it. And given chance would certainly go again.

Lovely staff, I don't recommend the chicken curry the taste wasn't there. My partner had steak pie meat was lovely but no flavour to the lid and my daughter had the Balmoral burger, she loved no complaints there. Overall was a nice lunch out and again lovely staff.

Late.kunch at The Dutch Inn. Food was good, typical pub lunch. Quite expensive for a pub lunch but seems to have loyal local business. Staff were good and attentive.

Always enjoyable food with generous portions for a fair price. Staff are always nice and they have a nice atmosphere. Family friendly. We will be regularly visiting 😀.

The space is very cute and the servers friendly. The chef needs to pick a direction. The menu is all over the place but doesn’t do any of them particularly well.

First time back with new owners . The 2 of us had the same filet steak Sizzlar med done . ( which we always had) One was okay the other was not good .Also what it was served with . Over kill of mushrooms Sorry to say we want be back .

Old fashioned decent pub grub, sterling service and decently priced. Been a while since I've been here, won't be so long next time. Beef stroganoff to die for as is steak pie and highlander chicken and macaroni 😋

Cheesecake wasn't like a cheesecake biscuits part to thick and hard hardly any cheesecake mix then loads of biscoff biscuits over it to much and far to expensive

Sorry but having been a customer since you guys were up at Polmont my wife and I were really disappointed with our meal but you can't please everyone!!!

Staff are always warm and friendly. And the food is lovely. Would thoroughly recommend. I also need to mention Donna who is always smiling and chatty when we go.

We had a large family booking with ages ranging from 9 to 82. Everyone was very happy with their meal. The staff were very attentive and cheery. One of our party was in a wheelchair and found it very accommodating. We found it to be very reasonably priced and will definitely return.

We went for Lunch yesterday for my 30th and the place was packed but that didn't bother the staff, great service and amazing food as always. Also the renovations are a welcome touch since the last time we visited. Would recommend to anyone, very friendly place.

Went with friends for the first time everything was really nice, the only criticism I would have would be the coleslaw it was very runny I had the chicken snitzel which was lovely husband had fish and our friend had steak pie which looked amazing

This was my 2nd visit here recently (hadn't been for years before this). First visit was just soup and a sandwich for lunch, which was lovely. Most recent visit was on Christmas Eve for lunch when there was a large group of us. Both festive menu and the usual menu were available, both with a great selection. All the food we ordered looked amazing and the dishes I had were delicious. Staff were very friendly with great service at such a busy time of year. I would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back.

Great food and staff. Nice atmosphere too. We really enjoyed our family pre Christmas meal and will go back. This is one of the best restaurants around Falkirk we have been to.

Architecturally, the building is very unappealing, but what it lacks on the outside, it makes up for on the inside. The food is excellent and unpretentious, the staff are friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I will definitely go again.

The food was good with great service, the temperature of the restaurant could have been a bit warmer ( November ). Carpark was a good size, the toilets were clean .

Cannot fault the Dutch inn food is amazing, it's our favourite eating place. Garlic mushrooms are a favourite. Chicken highland excellent 👌

First I have been here in years ,well impressed great staff,service,food was amazing ,portion size huge ,this was a family meal for 20 and nothing was a bother for the staff .everyone had great night .definitely be back soon .we'll done to the staff.

It is the worst service I have ever had. I thought the first night we went out was cos it was almost closing time. We returned last weekend and it was every bit as bad. It's almost like the staff try and avoid you! There is no call back to ask if all is OK.. nothing. They put your plates down and almost run to get away. I have been to the Clairmont on numerous occasions and it's nothing like that. I'm sure if Gregor saw how his staff were working he would be horrified. My sister went at another time I didn't know about. We were taking about our meal. She said exactly the same happened to them and they will never return. I'm sorry to say but we won't either. Terrible service.

Been here in the past, while always great food and.service it was sometimes slow. Walked in off the street without booking, staff checked for room and we were seated. I must say fantastic and very quick service, food was excellent, absolutely no faults at all. Well done Dutch Inn 👍

Had a prawn Mary Rose sandwich that would have choked a horse! Delicious, fresh, homemade, and a decent price. Staff were lovely, and it was buzzing. Obviously, it is a popular place

Popped in for lunch - the difference from a few years ago is amazing. The staff were all lovely, the food was spot on (had egg mayo sandwiches and shared a side of fries) . Proper plateful Including a decent salad and crisps. The decor is nicer, not as dark and gloomy. Such a positive difference in all aspects.

This is our local go to place ...the food is very good and the staff are friendly and welcoming...make sure you are hungry if you go here as the portions are more than ample...I can highly recommend it...

Had lunch here as part of a large group. The food was lovely and the service was great.

Great food and dependable menu.

Always passed this place on the way home and thought would like to try one day. That one day made us wished we tried this place sooner. Have been back several times since, had the chicken highlander on the first two trips already as it was so delicious. Plenty of parking space, didn't need to book.

Been going here on and off for 40 years, the restaurant has just been reimaged it looks great. Food still as excellent as ever, brilliant service and shhhh don't tell anyone it's the best steak pie in Scotland.

We went yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed the food. It was a very pleasant visit with nice staff and easy ordering. We asked for smaller portion meals and they were generous.

Last minute stop on a day out. Food was good, very generous portions and we weren't waiting too long for the food to come out after ordering.

Great food but reduced menu after owner change

Visited an old haunt from my youth for a pre theatre dinner. It's face-lift has transformed it into a lovely airy place to eat and chat. Very prompt service and good quality portions. Definitely a regular haunt once again.

It doesn't matter when I come here we always get a great meal, look forward to my next visit 😄
