Tourism not the right way forward , after 15 minutes of waiting , a young Bar man , was taking our order , and this untidy , guy said are you together ? Yes reply , leaned forward Don’t shake your head at my bar staff ,! Which we had nt , in our opinion he was either Drunk , out of control , possibly under influence of other substance !! Went on lunch on a Tuesday. The restaurant was pretty much empty only 2-3 tables had people. I ordered the cheeseburger chips and a cider. Cider came immediately from the bar. The food took 40 minutes and when it arrived wasn't even that hot. They use American cheese at the cheeseburger which costs £10. The cheese wasn't even melted, so I guess they put that on a bit too late. For £2 extra I got chips with my burger. Not much of a proper portion to add to your burger for £2. But at least they were fresh and nicely cooked. The beef on the burger was cooked medium rare which was the only thing I liked about it.

Visiting my partners sister for the weekend in Clapham junction we went out for a final meal before heading home and we were very disappoint at a near by venue, was very busy and when it came to our turn to be served it was clear that the staff were like robots and individually people didn’t actually matter, we decided not to eat at the first place and had a little walk up northcote road, various burger places with the same standard menus we then came across the draft house, and although there menu is very much based on burgers and such like the large bottle and can fridge really pulled me in to the place, and I’m really glad for this. Upon entering we were greeted with the most sincere of welcomes by a gentlemen I believe his name is Ash and we automatically knew we were in the right place. We didn’t have a clue about anything on the taps and even though people were waiting we were allowed to try sips of different beers in order to get what we actually wanted. The beers were all great, slightly expensive but as I’m not a Londoner i’m not used to the pricing and other places on the same street we’re very similar. We sat at the bar and Ash continued to be chatty he didn’t seem like he was just wanting our money then move onto the next person. After seeing food going out we decided to eat here and we weren’t disappointed burgers were good. Not Michelin star but just what you want when ordering a burger. When leaving the venue after around 3 hours we ventured back down the road entering the bar that we initially went into, time hadn’t changed the vibe of the place and we decided to go back to the draft house for one more drink. Will visit the draft house again next time we are in London it really did make for a pleasant evening.

Not a brilliant experience as I walked out. I went to The Draft House a while ago when it was still new and it was a good experience albeit relatively expensive for beer and food. Have just revisited and whilst popular for me the surly bartender and so few hand pumps, mainly T-Bars gas lift beer was not for me so I voted with my feet and wallet. The Draft House was highly recommended by a few colleagues of mine. I had heard a lot of good things from the place so decided to give it a go. I went in for lunch and a pint with a work friend. My experience was somewhat dampened by the fact that I discovered a hair on my burger. I’m not disputing the quality of the burger, or of the chips but this put me off my meal. Stupidly I thought that I would flick this away and not confront any staff as this was a small hair and is something that can happen from time to time. I spoke to who I believe was the floor manager after the meal who kindly agreed to remove the chips from the bill. However the hair had ruined my trip and I a concerned about a return visit. Despite the fact that I didn’t particularly enjoy the meal I could tell that the burger was of decent quality and the chips were very tasty. Overall I’m sure this place is decent enough, I was just unfortunate, however I will make note of the prices which were fairly high considering the portions that were provided. I have given this a 3/5 purely because of the excellent and speedy response from the friendly and attentive staff when I made them aware of the situation.

There's a separate eatery at the back of the bar, which is a nice change! If you fancy watching some sport, there are a couple of huge TVs on which we watched the Olympics. The food was lovely too, we had burgers and nachos. The only downfall is that it can be a little pricey if you don't check before you order, but the atmosphere and friendly staff makes it all worth while. The beer selection is good, and food is slightly better quality than your average local pub. This place perhaps suffers a little because there are so many good restaurants further down Northcote Rd.... I feel this is trying to cater to the after work drinkers settling in for a good selection of different pints, as well as a more refined gastro pub style. I think it probably needs to pick one or the other - but until it does, it'll remain a good middle of the road option. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Was it not the V&A which once advertised itself as being a nice caff with a museum attached? I feel the same way about The Draft House, the second outpost of a chain which has spread from its South a London base with its first branch in Battersea Bridge Road to Dulwich (although there are rumours this is shortly to close) before hearing to London Bridge and even the City. This is a great place for beer in all shapes and sizes from sampling thirds to Bavarian-style gallons, from craft breweries in the UK, to the products of Belgian monasteries, elsewhere in Europe and the USA. The food comprises staples such as burgers, steaks, hotdogs, fish and chips and the like. All very tasty but essentially complimenting the beer which in its range and quality is of museum standard.

We organised a Sunday Lunch for a group of 10 for a friends birthday celebration. Arriving first we had a beer in the bar area while we waited for the rest of the group to arrive - definitely an impressive array of tap beer available - we started with the Titanic which was a top drop for any stout-heads out there. Moving onto the meal, we were shown to our seats by a fairly dis-interested waitress. Waiting on a few stragglers in our group we enjoyed our beers - but were a bit surprised that after 40 minutes we still hadn't been approached to order (and in fact had to make quite an effort to grab the attention of the staff to get things moving), really quite strange given the restaurant area is not large at all. We ordered another round of beers with our meals, which took a good 20 minutes to arrive at our table - only after we had sent someone up to inquire on the whereabouts of our drinks, Shortly after this the waitress returned to our table to inform us that the beers we'd ordered were no longer available (after 20 minutes of waiting!). So as a result I ordered a pint of The Berliner, which is described as a German Weizen Beer. Unfortunately so did the rest of our group and this beer is like nothing I've ever tried before - incredibly fruity and almost tastes like a soured batch of home brew. A real shame the Titanic keg had run dry! So still quite thirsty and very hungry, our food finally arrived. I ordered "The Smoke" Burger. First impressions were a really delicious looking patty/burger but tragically let down by the selection of bun - a sesame seed number plucked straight out of an ASDA 12 or 24-pack. Simply criminal. What I will applaud however (and what you don't see enough of) was the treatment of the beetroot filling. This was neatly organised to the side of the plate with the lettuce and gherkins allowing the patron to construct their burger as they see fit - I am not a beetroot lover, in fact I detest it, and reason (apart from taste) is that once it's in a burger or sandwich it leaves it's stain all over the place. The skinny and thick chips were both very nicely done. Overall I'd give the food a 6.5/10 (this would've been 1.5 points higher had it not been for the appalling choice of bun). In summary food options are pretty decent and the burger patties are a highlight. However the complete lack of any kind of service made for a fairly unsatisfactory visit - the pubs motto "where the beer flows like wine" couldn't be further from the truth - we struggled to order 2 pints during our 2 hour meal.

The English fried breakfast was indifferent at best, served with a very big Frankfurter sausage - not good, and certainly not very English! The sauce on the Eggs Benedict was curdled. Not an experience we shall be aiming to repeat!

As an American (read New Yorker) in London, I miss my craft beers, and the Draft House is the cure for my homesickness. They've got a brilliant selection of American, English and European craft brews (read not just a stout, but a smokey whisky barrel aged stout), and solid American-inspired pub food. It's always packed, but the service is great and there's a nice area in the back just for diners. Well worth the trip.

Very disappointed with both the food and the drinks. The house white wine tasted watery as if the bottle had been open for a week. Pulled pork sandwich was dry and easily the worst one I've ever had. My wife had the cheeseburger which was also dry and uninspiring.

We went to the new Seething branch for lunch on a Monday to try their 'I Hate Mondays' special (Burger + chips + pint for about a tenner).Drinks: The choice of beers on tap is a bit underwhelming for a place that calls itself the Draft House. It is still much better than a normal pub but a bit behind places like BrewDog, The Union and The Craft Beer Co. They did have an exceptional Kernel beer on tap though.Their bottle selection is very good, perhaps not too adventurous for the craft beer geek. Food: I’d give their burger a 4/5 mainly because of the bun, a bit harder than I like. However the burger patty was perhaps the best I’ve ever tasted. Pink on the inside, juicy and carrying loads of charcoal taste. Delicious.

We were welcomed and looked after by staff who could not do too much, we were encouraged to work our way through a wonderful of beers and wine, the quality and variety was amazing, The beer was stunning with incredible varieties and global reach, from America to Australia. The Scotch egg, homemade and wonderfully runny in the middle, curried and served with mustard was sublime, the chips came with green chillies on the side and beans, I want to go back and try the rest of the menu, as a snack and chat venue it was ideal, We had a few anecdotes from the regulars, Not as lively as the Hope but a place where you can relax and know that you will enjoy what is on offer and be made to feel special.

This place is a little gem. We work in the area and stumbled upon this as we decided to just keep walking further down Northcote Rd for a change and are so pleased that we did. There must be about 20 different beers, ales & largers on draft. Ranging from 3-8%. You can 4 glass sizes, a stein which is close to 2 pints, 1 pint, half a pint or a third of a pint. Obviously the staff are happy to give you a free tester to. I have only tried the food twice, scotch egg was first. Nice, home made and would say 3.5 out of 5. I go for the home made pork crackling. They cooking perfect every time and every day. Comes in a little glass. You can buy 3 or 6 at a time. If you fancy an ale and a nice change get yourself there. Enjoy...!

my advice would be to go here for the beer/drinks only and go elsewhere for food. we had a meal in the back room and wont be doing so again given the extent of choice locally. we were unimpressed with the service generally, cant comment on wine list as were on the beers that evening. menu ok for this type of place but the food we ordered was bland and uninteresting even accounting for the fact that this is a bar/bistro type of place. dont look too closely at the decor on the way to the loos. will definitely be back for beer though! the evening we went was quite full of people and so quite noisy with the 20 and 30 year olds shouting at each other.

We stumbled across this accidentally after learning we would have to wait an hour for bubble dogs. Really good food and drink but the staff were great and so helpful and friendly. Would recommend.

Great atmosphere. Great beer. Got a free half pint as it was the end of the barrel. No banter, smile or welcome from the staff.

The food in here is pretty simple but really good - delicious burger and fries. The best thing about this place however, is the selection and availability of beers and Craft Lagers from the USA. Reasonably priced for London too - you can get a couple of pints for around £8. They have a house larger and UK local ales too. Well worth a visit to spend a couple of hours tasting the many delights on offer!

You can actually get food here but as we on the route to somewhere else to eat we only had a drink. It was extremely busy and the staff seemed run off their feet! Our table was dirty and we had to wipe it ourselves!

Love this place. Have only been twice. The first time we just had a couple of beers; two bottles came to over £10 - a little steep, but they were speciality beers from Belgium. Second time we had the beer and burger offer on Monday - just over £10 for a burger and a pint of house larger (or other drink). I have to say, the burgers were fantastic - try the smoke burger - it's a must. We'll be back.

We went here one Sunday with a few friends. We didn't have high expectations, we were told they don't take bookings for Sunday lunch so we expected a long wait, but in fact it was only ten minutes which was fine as we got our drinks and waited in the bar. The dining room is sightly odd but gradually we felt affection for it. None of us opted for the traditional roast but we all enjoyed our meal, particularly good selection of burgers, service was fine.

We visited at lunchtime for breakfast and were disappointed. There was a limited selection, teas and coffee were brought very late and we had to send a meal back. It was fine but not great. It was full of kids and i wouldn't go for breakfast again.

This was our first visit. The staff were really friendly and allowed me to taste a few draft beers before deciding which one to have.We were quickly seated and brought menus. The choice is a bit limited – mainly burgers. However the burgers were truly excellent. My son and I both had the cheeseburger which came with fat chips and salad. My wife had the fish cakes which she refused to share. The puddings were very reasonable, but the chocolate brownie had a lot of nuts in it, which was a bit odd.We enjoyed the meal so much that we went back a few days later and ate there again. This time the cheeseburger was served with streaky bacon which was good. My wife had a Beirut Bomb burger which was a too-spicy veggie combination with halloumi. Not as good as the cheeseburger. My daughter’s fish and chips all disappeared.

Saturday 16 February, 2013: I arrived to the Draft House on Northcote Road to find my mates standing at the bar with a distressed look on their faces. I asked them what was wrong and they replied that they had been waiting nearly 10 minutes to be served. After a quick assessment of the beer on tap I noticed that 4 of their 10-12 or so taps were ‘off’ explaining with a sign that patience is a virtue or that good beer will come to those who wait or something equally as witty. After finally being served...

We called in on Saturday night for something to eat and a drink. The place was jumping but the waitress assured us there would be a free table in "about 10 minutes". We just had time to get a drink at the bar when the table was ready! The food was excellent and served fairly quickly. Lovely burgers and fries or chunky chips, battered onion rings mmmm! The Draft House is really easy to get to, it's the first bus stop over the Battersea Bridge.Would recommend and definitely go again.

I keep coming back for the Monday burger deal - I have never had such consistently beautifully cooked burgers. I want to wax lyrical about this place, but just have time to tell people to go. It will be worth it for the great food, friendly staff, and huge variety of beers. Looking forward to joining in at the pub quiz too!

The draft house has recently become our favorite pub. The variety and stock of beer is overwhelming and the food is fantastic. I had the flat iron steak on my last visit and it was melt in your mouth perfection and my husband had the Poke burger, which he really enjoyed. On every visit the staff have been attentive and very friendly, they always have time to run through the beers and give advice. The pub is also very child friendly and does small portions for children.

Personale sorridente (incredibile, ce n'è ancora..) e premuroso.

I have been going to the Draft House for several years now. I go mainly for its superb selection of Ales which has a regular selection of guest ales rotating aswell. The staff know their stuff too on the Ales which is a must for any bar, but is sadly lacking in many London places. Excellent outside seating makes this a perfect place to while away a lazy afternoon in the sun. The thirds they do for tasting is a brilliant idea. The food is great also - I would particularly recommend the burgers. Atmosphere is excellent & the location is Ideal if you are strolling along Northcote Road. Definitely make some time to check this place out!

Genial.

I've been here a couple of times now, and on both occasions I've had a great combination of tasty, gutsy food, a well-chosen selection of drinks and really friendly service. The drinks list is particularly impressive - the amount of unique beers is huge! In fact, most dishes come with a recommended beer to go with it. There's also a really good selection of independent ciders and whiskeys. They also do a lot of wines, but I've yet to sample those. The food isn't fancy - just decent plates of fish and chips, sausages, huge pieces of steak to share, and so on.I've also found the service to be very smiley! The waiters and waitresses seem to know a lot about their drinks in particular, and advised us on whiskeys to sample.

Disappointed, we use to go to the stage door 20 plus years ago when the elderly couple owner the restaurant and it was beautiful, we have very good memories of the service snd food. Last night the food was disappointing, the sauté potato’s were greasy and my husband T- bone streak that he requested medium well was very rare. The service was slow.
