The Draft House Seething in City of London, Westminster

I used to love this place, but haven't been for nearly 10 years. I'm glad to see it hasn't changed too much, but with the downside that it is now apparently owned by BrewDog. Luckily, it appears they let them continue without having to follow the "taproom by numbers" you get out of most BrewDog bars, so not only does it have it's own look, but there is a much more interesting selection of beers. It was easy enough to get a seat on a Saturday afternoon, which is always a bonus in a decent location like this.

Updated Brewdog pub/restaurant. Conveniently nearby Tower of London. Excellent food, warm staff, comfortable atmosphere. James was outstanding and made our family feel welcome and appreciated. We all love our meals and beers. Definitely recommend!

Conveniently located near our hotel. Standard pub fare. Not the best I’ve had, but not the worst. Fish and chips were too greasy. Burgers looked good. Nephew enjoyed his Elvis Juice and some other IPA. Seemed to be a local hangout, which we wanted. Our initial waiter apparently finished his shift (or something) but a nice American lad took over. Card only, no cash.

Took some clients to a business Xmas lunch here. Starts off well as the staff are friendly and excellent. It then goes downhill with ok but average food then ends up at a low point when i asked for the bill. £6.58 for a house lager !! That's just getting crazy. No wonder it was empty and no doubt will stay that way as the pubs round the corner are offering up beers for £4 or less.

Visited here whilst watching my wife run in the London Marathon. Thank you to Lola one of the best bar staff I've encountered anywhere . So friendly and looked after me very well whilst I was there. She's a credit to Brewdog.

I visited here on a Friday night. I had the Sausage and Mash in a yorkshire pudding, washed down with a Hazy Jane. The food was very well cooked and presented and the beer is now one of my favourites when out and about. I will be back.

Fab service. 2 for 1 on cocktails until 8pm and a very tasty beer tasting board. It was lovely to sit and watch the world go by, outside. Great atmosphere. Will definitely be back!

Visited 14 bars in our weekend visit to London and this as to be the unfortunately the one that was least appealing, now this maybe because when we arrived it was 30 minutes before closing on Friday 16 June and from the actions of the bar man he was finishing cleaning up for closing so asked whether we were able to get a drink to which he said yes but last orders was in 15 minutes and to take a table and we would be seen, he continued with his cleaning for a further 5 minutes then took our order which included a Jet Black Heart which he had extreme difficulty in pouring being more froth than beer he commented to one of the other staff how hard it was to pour and was tempted to volunteer to show him how to pour it. eventually he filled the glass but must say it was the worst Jet Black of the weekend can only hope this was a one off from the staff and maybe they had been busy earlier and were just tired and wanted to go home

Simple honest food, great taste, buzzing atmosphere and a great selection of beer. What else do you need.

This is a nice chilled out bar with friendly & efficient staff. We visited on a Friday evening & even though it was busy there was lots of free seats. Nice spot for a drink if you are staying in any of the nearby hotels.

The beer here is always good! We tried the cauliflower wings this time. They are a vegan dish and we love cauliflower. However... The cauliflower was boiled and then coated in a "batter" which was then sauced... I suggest they skip the "batter" just deep fry the cauliflower and cover it in the tasty sauce!!!

I only went in as they had chilly squid on the menu displayed in the window. Unfortunately they were out of stock. This was last Saturday. Settled for a Scotch egg and jerk Halloumi fingers. The Scotch egg was ok but the Halloumi fingers were awful. 75% heavy greasy batter with a tiny little piece of cheese in the middle. The staff were great but I would not eat here again. Maybe just a beer.

An incredible day out. I had the jalapeño burger which, and I do not add this lightly, was one of the best burgers I have ever consumed. Additionally, our host, Stefan, was on the ball with every single drinks request and added extra value to our experience. Overall a 10/10 experience.

Me and my boyfriend visited this restaurant on our trip to London - I was a bit worried reading some of the review, but ended up pleasantly surprised! We decided to go for a mac'n'cheese croquettes and halloumi fries as a starter and double burger as a main. I wouldn't recommend them croquets, as they were lacking a bit more flavour, halloumi fries were exceptional, could get enough of them!! Was so happy with the burger too, the portion was big enough (more than big to be fair) and it tasted delicious, meat was done perfectly and was nicely seasoned. Well, we enjoyed our lunch and we'll definitely be back!

Visited on a Monday tempted by the half price burger deal. Wish I hadn't bothered. Poor quality meat does not make up for huge portions and the burger was fairly foul despite some tempting toppings though the bacon was barely cooked and the pickles were wet, transferring to the Hun which rapidly disintegrated.

Came here for a beer and lunch. Had just one beer that tasted like horse (insert vile description here). The beer was expensive too. $10.00 for the small bottle. It was so bad I tried to get my companion to finish it. Neither of us could. The bartender offered us a free beer of our choice from the tap, after sampling a few, we left. They were all bad.

They surely do have a vast range of beers and a limited collection of other alcoholic beverages. I found their hot chicken wings delicious. One con was their washrooms, it was very dirty and not very well maintained. Maybe they can improve this aspect.

Came for a casual business lunch. Enjoyed various beers with burgers and wings. The issue was how long it took to get served. This was not the fault of the helpful and friendly waitress, but she was completely on her own. This staffing was in no way able to manage the restaurant at lunchtime.

We visited the Draft house whilst in London the staff were really friendly and the beer selection was great.

We have been to this place a few times and it’s usually good, however this last visit was really disappointing. The meat in the scotch egg was sour and weird the chicken wings were very chewy and I had a burger which was dry,burnt and tasteless. I’m not usually one to complain but as this is a place that me and my mrs like to come to i thought I’d say something. I have a feeling they have changed there meat suppliers.

Both bars are owned by BrewDog, a short walk apart, but very different. Even on a Monday they seemed under staffed. They do have cask beer which is an advantage over Brewdog.

Visité a amigos para ver las 6 naciones y nos echaron de las mesas vacías a las 15:15 (habían sido reservadas para las 16:30). El personal nos dijo que si no estábamos todos bebiendo tendríamos que irnos, ya que 2 de cada 10 de nosotros no teníamos una bebida completa en la mano.

This pub is a fun local place. We went because it was near our hotel, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was great for pub food, not fine dining. We don’t actually even like beer, but they have a respectable list of wine choices. Great vegetarian options (falafel salad and butternut squash pie). Service was fine. Definitely recommend.

This place does some pretty good beer. If you want a few different beers and some chicken wings to pick at then this is a great place. Unfortunately the burgers weren’t great and the jalapeño mac n cheese balls were disappointing and no doubt just frozen and chucked in the fryer. Albeit the place is very clean and tidy and the staff are nice. Very chilled and relaxed place to catch up with friends for a few beers but wouldn’t eat here again unless it was just for a nibble over drinks.

We came for lunch after visiting the nearby Tower of London. Loads of good beers and you can order by the 1/3 or 2/3 of a pint. Our nachos were pretty good (superb guacamole) but the kids macaroni cheese was nothing special.

Amazing Pilsner Urquell fresh from the tanks, like in Prague. Great atmosphere too. Recommend place for a few drinks. Burger can be improved.

What can i say about this place, being that it was right by my hotel i was not expecting much but wow was i wrong. When i walked in i was greeted with a tremendous smile from both servers asking what i would like but i needed a minute due to their extensive beer collection. After ordering my drink i decided to grab a snack, picking fried mac and cheese balls with jalapeno and wings. Being from nyc i was shocked how incredible the wings were. Lets just say in a span of 24 hrs i have been there 4 times. The general manager eloise was so inviting and i look forward to coming back to london to indulge on some fantastic bar food served with kind service.

This was our fourth trip to London and the third staying in the area. We had walked past Drafthouse a number of times and it was always busy with crowds out front with their pints. This year we decided to stop in. Soooo glad we did! We ended up not only eating there, but we got food to go a number of times as well.

Barman y pinta era educado comida ant respectivamente, pero eso no fue pescado y patatas fritas. Que parece más superficial de neumáticos, servido con patatas fritas empanadas frías y el tipo de ketchup que se pueden encontrar cucharas realmente fiable grasienta.

So if you’re walking around London & you’re fed up (forgive the joke) of the same branded fast food restaurants, then try Draft Houses. They’re a small independent chain ( I believe) who specialises in independent breweries & good quality fast food!

Stumbled upon this place returning to our nearby hotel. At 9.30pm on Saturday a lot of the chain restaurants in the area appear to be winding down for the evening. We walked in here and got seated straight away. Simple menu offering burgers, sandwiches etc. Both my husband and I opted for 'the poke' burger. it was absolutely delicious! Well cooked with a good amount of heat to it. Will definitely return next time we're in London.

Staying in the Hilton round the corner and went for a good pub experience with good food and that is exactly what I got. Young Kiwi waiter excellent. Ribs with meat on and good beer. Short review but the above sums up the place.

I went yesterday with about 7 friends for birthday drinks. The beers are excellent and we did order some food too which was great, especially the deep fried halumi cheese with a dip.

Had been out for catch-up drinks, and decided to have one more. My mate recommended this place, and even though it's a draft house I went for just lager.Next time I'll be a bit more adventurous.I'd recommend this place for drinks, but probably not the best for something to eat - especially later on.

Stopped by for some dinner last week and we were not disappointed. The menu was on the smaller side but full to the brim with winners. Busy daytime pub with a modern real ale vibe, including a great selection of beers and pilsner direct from the tank. Good burger and fries served in decent time, even though the place was full on a weekday afternoon.

After visiting the London Tower we were super hungry. Also, as last days we were eating Great Britain food we thought to try something different. After doing some search we hopped into this place.First thing theyd did was to bring us a bottle of water which was really refreshing and nice.The second surprise was three beers for 5 pounds. Really nice way to learn about beers and try out something interesting.So, we jumped in and had one Cuban sandwich and 2 smoked burgers. Cuban sandwich was a bit different than I had before, the burgers were nice bit a bit dry for my taste. I could recommend better ones. The staff is really friendly and helpful.One unpleasant surprise was 9 GBP extra as a tip I guess on the bill for the service. That was something we did not saw on the menu.Overall the place is quite average on the taste side, a bit expensive but awesome on the beer and really nice waiters, considering all it together I could not five more points. But, if you are not price sensitive and not needy on what you eat I can suggest this place as the venue itself ia aweaome!

Great beers, great food. As an American in London I was really excited about trying some of the legendary British craft beers. This place did not disappoint. The staff we very knowledgeable about the beers they were happy to give me some tasters of beers I had never thought if trying before. The 'juicebox' is amazing and you should definitely try some!

Don't get here as often as I'd like, but if I'm in London I stop here without fail! The beers they offer are superb, the relaxed atmosphere really is a nice break away from the normal hussle that accompanies drinks in London. Haven't eaten here, but the food always looks good. Favourite pub in London!

Se aprovecharon de nosotros poniéndonos lo que quisieron y cobrando también lo que quisieron. Nos colaron las pintas grandes cuando especificamos pequeñas, no nos pusieron el agua pedida, etc. Muy disgustados y con sensación de engaño. La atención del encargado chulesca y desafiante. Una pena!!!! Mala sensación.

one person serving so slow. ordered combo of ribs and wings. wings nice and spicy so ok. Now for the Ribs. yes they were cooked. I expect ribs to fall off the bone. these were stuck fast solid and seemed pre cooked with a little sauce poured over. Fresh out the packet, awful. Asked if this was normal, waiting staff assured me this was normal. I have been all over America and this is NOT how ribs are supposed to be. RUBBISH!I believe they rely on people not returning as I would never go back, literally a tourist trap avoid as a proper ribs place just around the corner. Service charged for rubbish service!!!!!!

I have to admit, we only ended up at the Draft House because we couldn't get in somewhere else, but I'm glad the other place was fully booked! After stopping for a drink at the Draft House a couple of times in the past, I was keen to see what the food was like, but hadn't had the chance. This time was different, and the whole family was along for the ride. We ordered a real mix of everything off the menu, and all of it was great tasting food. Coupled with the wide choice of beers, and the excellent service from the staff, it made for a really enjoyable eating/drinking experience. We ate at a few places over the weekend, and everyone said that this was one of the best - definitely one to go back to.

Whilst on a business trip we spent one evening in this pub famous for its wide selection of craft beers but also being a Pilsner Urquell outlet. The variety of beers is complemented by good food and very good service. Definitely worth a visit!

We casually found out this pub. Once entered, we discovered a very welcoming and warm atmosphere. The waiters are very available, and our order was very quick. Good beer and hamburgers. Location very characteristic, very close to the Tower Bridge. We will come back again surely. Great job!

Endroit trouvé par hasard et pas déçu. Cadre sympa, choix de bières importante, cuisine maison excellente, personnel dynamique et accueillant, une des serveuses est française, un plus pour avoir des précisions. Du coup on y est retourné trois soirs de suite pour déguster différentes excellentes bières et plats, les burgers maisons et frites patates douces sont incroyables. Pas de point négatif, endroit à découvrir

Un super pub pour se détendre autour de nombreuses bières (pas chères du tout!!) et de la bonne bouffe (Tout fait maison.) Un accueil et un cadre chaleureux. Et si vous êtes gentils, on peut vous faire goûter les bières avant de choisir ;) PS : Pour ceux qui ont du mal avec l'anglais, une SUPER serveuse française s'occupera de vous.

We had a great night out here with excellent food and good drinks.My wife enjoyed her Sipsmith London cups.We enjoyed the excellent choice of both real ales, craft ales and the good bottle selection.To eat we had two Dos Hermanos with sweet potato fries which were delicious and our guest enjoyed his enormous Chilli Cheese burger.Liva looked after us and we were under no pressure to leave our table and spent nearly four hours there.Looking forward to coming back soon !

Went along with a sizeable group. We all liked the choice of beer. We had a few sharer bin lids too which were quite nice. The service was efficient and attentive so all the makings of a nice night out. For some reason though, there'd be the occasional monumental draught through the room. From what I could see it wasn't attributable to open doors so I don't know what caused it. Either way, after being there for several hours last night my throat began to itch and today I feel like death warmed up which is a real shame given how much this place has going for it.

Top quality burger (much better than the better known chains), the food was very filling. Quickish service on a Saturday afternoon, lots of beers to choose from. Good overall vibe.

This is the second time we have been to the Draft House & it was every bit as good as we remembered! There is a fantastic selection of craft beers here from independent brewers. The food is also excellent focusing on burgers & American BBQ. The service is efficient & we didn't have to wait long for our food. We went on a Saturday and as the Draft House, Seething Lane is in a business area it wasn't too packed. Highly recommend!

On the site of an old Post Office is another of those hip craft beer and burger places. Not a big room but an ok size to sit and enjoy a good selection of those beers and lagers with an Ale twist to them. Pop pub grub available and good sized bar. Pleasant barman offered good advice on what some of the unusually named beers would be like. Music plays but you can still hear yourself talk which is always good.

Booking this place was somewhat difficult. You try online, then it says call, so that's what I did and booked.Upon arrival, there was no booking according to the waitress who 'almost' greeted us at the door. we were tod we had no booking. Then we spotted a table over the room with my name on it - it all seemed somewhat disorganised as other people came in after us and were told to sit where they like!?.So eventually we are seated, order food and drinks.The food was pretty good. Fresh burgers, with a choice of various other dishes on the menu. After we ate, we were full, and the food went down very well. The beer ordered also went down very well, there is a good choice of ales and craft beers here, but be prepared for London prices.Overall, not a bad shot in the dark, but the service is definitely a little to be desired. Disorganised, frantic looking staff bobbing around like headless chickens. On top of this, there is a 12.5% automatic service charge on the bill, which can be removed if required.3/5

Spicy veggie burger was one of the best I've ever had. So good! Amazing selection of beers and fun atmosphere.

The service at The Draft House is a bit slow and it's really not clear whether you just walk in and sit down or go to the bar to get a table, but once you get your beer, you get over that.I had The Poke burger which was super spicy and delicious and I paired it with a Hoppy Ki Yay IPA followed by a Salted Caramel & Popcorn Sundae. Will definitely be going back!

Met friends here for a drinks. Ended up buying two bottles of prosecco then ordered burgers. Their burgers were delicious, like finger licking delicious.It was a Friday, after work so there was a buzzing loud music atmosphere.

This is a quirky, inviting restaurant. Staff very friendly, burgers very tasty and an excellent beer selection. The TANK beer Pilsner is a novelty, delivered regularly and the age is posted on the wall. I'll return.

Been to the Draft House a few times and not only does it have a great selection of beers and ales (Craft, Micro and Mainstream). It is constantly reviewing its food menu, which is great as the food never fails to deliver. They also have a big drop down screen for sport.

This is a spacious venue that is nicely decorated that has broad choice in terms of beer. The food is good and does not disappoint. A plus: it is not very busy on Saturday nights.

The food here was excellent, plenty of it and great price. It was a Thursday evening and it was very loud and packed. When we passed on Saturday night it appeared much quieter, obviously a place for people to catch up after work.Found it very strange they took your credit card away out of view and placed it in a card holder which was passable by everyone in the restaurant in the way to the toilet - ever heard of PCI compliance?Shame really because the rest of the experience was excellent.

We visited twice for our family evening meal, the kids were welcome, the food was good, and the staff were really friendly. Quiet on a Saturday night. Busier on a week day as many people in the area go for a drink there after work, but it was still good and not too packed to take the kids in.

Great food, great atmosphere and a break from the hustle and bustle of the main streets. The staff were very friendly and knew their menu well and gave great recommendations. The food was delivered very quickly, tasted great and was well priced. Highly recommended.

This location is a bit off the beaten path, but it's a warm and welcoming place. We enjoyed nachos and buffalo wings with our beer as we gave our feet a rest before continuing our travels. Good prices, varied food and drink options. Recommend!

Checked into our hotel for my birthday night in london and this place was next door, great selection of beers, we had tropical and sour raspberry, shared some food, chicken wings really generous portion, massive pork scratching, squid in salt n chili and nachos, we couldn't eat it all as there was so much but really worth the money, really wish we had this sort of place in portsmouth as i would visit on a regular basis, staff were very friendly and a great atmosphere all round

This is a good place for Pub Food! Menu is terrific, staff are friendly and helpful, and prices affordable for the traveler. However, this is also a very popular place for the 'after hours business crowd', we found it difficult to get into to this pub after 5:00 pm as the business crowd often took over the place.

Really great beer selection, lots of beers on tap too. Burgers are average. Atmosphere is loud but still fun. Good staff.
