Nice pub with a good guvnor, I'm a Guinness drinker so not a problem but there was a lack of real ales and bitter.

Great place but the toilet are downstairs so if you are disabled not an ideal pub...

As said in many others comments, the owner is really rude and he even yelled at us because me and my friend did not order at the same time.

Turns into a diplomatic pocket of Geordie-Land on match day. We went there specifically for that and it didn’t disappoint.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon, about 10 people in there. Decent selection of beers.

Typical no nonsense traditional British pub. Don't go there if you are expecting to get a coffee 😊. I got told off in no uncertain terms when I tried.

Cozy pub close to London's three major train stations. Large selection of beer, very friendly service and two large rooms with plenty of seating. Were here for the start of the European Championships and felt very comfortable. Nice place to watch football!

Very cosy friendly pub with excellent filling food. Bar staff are helpful and the chef came to my table to explain the food and take my order.

Absolutely amazing food. The most authentic ceviche I have ever tried. The service was super quick and the quantity of food very good. We order: - tamales: very good, but not my favourite - ceviche: essential order. Very authentic, big enough for both people (if they are happy to share). 100% recommended - salmon a lo macho: OMG, it is the best seafood I have tried in the UK. Slightly spicy but bearable for someone that doesn't like spicy food. I cannot recommend it enough.

Had a great meal here. The Peruvian food was great, very flavoursome, chef was friendly and helpful, as were the bar staff. If you’re looking for authentic cuisine made by a well travelled Peruvian chef, then go to the Dolphin.

Had a great day with leeds united in London. A lot of us ended up at the dolphin and had a great laugh. We only had drinks so no score on food. Could have done with an extra hand behind the bar. Long waiting times to get served. Solution........get more drinks each. Great little pub, thank you

I've tolerated this pub due to the atmosphere that the Newcastle United fan group are able to create on match day - it's as close to watching it up north as you'll find here in London, but the pub itself is just awful and the landlord doesn't deserve the devotion that the fans have given it over the last few seasons. The pub itself is a time capsule from the 60s, maybe you can call that "charm", but considering how much they charge (£6.50 for an alcohol free can of Guinness) and how much money goes behind the bar every match day, you'd think the staff could crack a smile - nope, it's closer to resentment and rudeness. I think in an economy where pubs struggle and close everyday they should thank their lucky stars that the Newcastle fans have adopted this spot to watch the games. Hidden Gem for Peruvian food here in the city, the chef is an absolute gem and the food is lovely!!

Visited this place, with a big group of friends, on a weekday evening.Realised that the kitchen and the bar function separately. It looks like the kitchen staff and the bar keep don't get along and the customers suffer for that.The bar keeper(wears hat)working the evening shift seems to have some issues which reflects on his racist behaviour towards people.wish we had paid attention to the low the reviews as well.Also, Caught him poking his nose and not bothering to clean his hands before serving drinks. Definitely won't be visiting again because of rude and disgusting behavior of the bar keeper. Absolute mood killer Food was amazing. Good taste, great portion size.Ratings given only for the Peruvian food

What a fantastic find - traditional Irish pub with Peruvian cuisine !! The Octopus was great !!

I thought it was quite jolly with a local flavor - my wife didn’t care for it at all and said it lacked the old style pub feel. It does have that newish feel to it. We had a couple of the tamales which were just average. Stop in for a pint or so, just be careful what you order from the kitchen. I like the front and back bar options.

Decent pub for King’s Cross area

Continues to be the grimmest pub in the area and the landlord is as grumpy as ever. Still, at least it was open on a Sunday.

Great pub, close to Kings Cross. London prices, as expected, but won’t break the bank too badly.

Watched the Newcastle West Ham match here after looking for a Newcastle friendly pub. It was a brilliant atmosphere, probably helped by the fact it was a brilliant game. The owner was also really friendly.

Quite possibly the best proper pub in the area. Always a friendly welcome and a good atmosphere in this traditional London pub that is tucked away from the hive of activity just a couple of streets away. 2 separate rooms and some outside street seating. Very reasonable prices and good selection of drinks. Always my go to pub when in the area 👍

Good service and relatively cheap for the area. It has two bars and a seating area outside. The stairs to the toilet are a bit steep, so watch out for that. Nice place to visit.

Class pre-match away pub for Toon fans and a good selection of draught beers. Good location near King's Cross, too. Would highly recommend.

A pub for people who are just passing through. Beer selection was poor, atmosphere was the opposite of cosy and overall the place felt a little neglected and unloved.

Bit of an odd one for the area. Old fashioned boozer with an independent kitchen serving amazing Peruvian food. It is also a Newcastle United supporters pub. Which is, you know, a bit odd for central London.

Old school boozer, with some real character....landlord has been there for over 40yrs and you could tell but in a great way, will definitely be back In the new year

I was with a group of people but I got singled out for some reason the landlord thought I was just using the toilet, I was the only one he asked, I can only assume I wasn't the correct hue.

Needed somewhere to take visiting family for a post-flight meal days before Christmas. Also needed gluten-free food, and knew that Peruvian dishes often fit the bill, so called ahead and was assured that I'd be in good hands. It's a neighbourhood pub, obviously, as opposed to a restaurant, but the chef and his son went to every length to feed us well and make sure I was safe. Absolutely delicious, comforting food. A pleasure on every level.

The chef and staff were lovely, I particularly loved that it’s a family business. The food was amazing, tasty, colourful; specially the authentic Peruvian dish named “jalea” & “ceviche”. I fully recommend this place if you are looking for original Peruvian food. Thank you so much for having us, I will be back for sure :)

Great pub for the last one before boarding your home bound train from St Pancras / King’s Cross after the match / day in London. We found it when trying to get in 5 star standard hotel bar, ‘dolphin up there lads’ was the bouncers retort. Great grumpy landlord, sport on, outside seating. Been twice now after london thrashings, perfect place to end the visit. We’ll be back in December 2023 and whenever we play Brentford. Didn’t try food but told its superb. Oh yeah and they accept cash, pretty rare down the smoke

What a gem - staff were overly helpful and the side bar was perfect for our get together at short notice! 100% worth nipping into (not a bad juke box either)

My wife and I were in London recently and staying near the Kings Cross train station. We decided to go out for dinner and came upon this restaurant which serves Peruvian food. We went in and sat at a table for a few minutes and went up to the bar and asked the bartender if we ordered there and he said no , to have a seat, and we would be waited upon. After waiting 15 more minutes and not being waited upon we left.

A great little modest boozer super close to Kings Cross. Good local vibe with plenty of seating out the front. Has a great Peruvian kitchen which pumps out some amazing food. Plenty of telly's for the sport and a juke box in one of the rooms.

Good beer and great food. We had a good evening.

The Dolphin just to the south of the main Euston Street is a blast from the past. All good as long as you don't need a cask ale. Plenty of choice from the keg. Juke box from the birth of the Eurovision song context. All good fun and quite Irish. Please note, no cockfighting allowed in the pub!

The food here was recommended by a friend and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The crispy pork belly was seriously crispy and addictive! Ended up over ordering and took some home. Tasted just as good the next day!

Food was nice, so the staff. Quiet pub by 6pm to enjoy the meal with a nice cider.

Currently sitting in here watching Ireland’s first game in the Rugby World Cup 2023. Nice enough pub and good Guinness BUT curious why I was charged £6.30 for my first pint and then £6.40 for my second pint? Only 10p but what is that about??? Was I undercharged for the first pint or some sort of incentive to stop binge drinking? Won’t risk another sudden price increase so I’ll watch the second half elsewhere.
