Popped in after the Titanic Experience. Had researched local cafes & come across this 'social enterprise' one - I'm a fan of this set-up so it was a must. Must mention the absolutely charming gentleman who volunteers as a 'greeter' & tells people about what they do, why & how - there's one salaried person & 60 volunteers! - we had a lovely chat with him, & we both made a point of saying thank you & goodbye to him when we left. Very good coffee & cake, & my scone & jam was delicious (& huge!) & I had a nice chat with the lady behind the counter. There is no actual charge for what you eat & drink - you are asked for a contribution - I would like to think most customers give what they think is fair & add a bit more on top!

This cafe is an absolute gem. The people are so kind and polite and the service was some of the best I have ever experienced. The concept has given me faith in humanity and I would recommend to anybody visiting the titanic quarter to pop in and have a brew with the knowledge your not paying multi billion pound corporations but supporting a community and some incredible people

This got to be the best cafe I have been during my two weeks of holiday here. This cafe is run by volunteers and they are 100% donations-based. They have some treats (including GF ones), coffee and a wide selection of tea. Patrons are also welcomed to bring their own food and drinks. Dogs are allowed in as well. Saw couple of them & they were all leased and very lovely. The cafe is really spacious and comfortable. I wished I could visit them again & I highly recommend anyone around the area to give them a visit & drop some donations! (It’s a mere 2 mins walk from the Titanic Museum & SS nomadic) P.s All the staff that I met in the cafe were absolute sweethearts!

Brilliant Cafe in the Titanic Quarter in Belfast. We wandered in for a drink after visiting the Titanic Experience. It's run entirely on donations, you can have a cuppa and a snack. All the furniture is different and all the cups are too. The staff are really friendly, it's dog friendly too a and although they don't sell food if you purchase from one of the other outlets you can eat it in there. Altogether a Brilliant idea.

The Dock Cafe is located in the Titanic Quarter of Belfast between Odyssey and the SS Nomadic. I received a friendly welcome and the lady who served me prepared my drink and told me about the cafe. It is a place where you pay what you feel the service was worth. There was a really nice atmosphere about the place and it was very relaxing. After spending the day walking around the city I wanted a place to sit and rest my feet and relax before I continued exploring. They provide free wifi and the cafe is dog friendly as well. No wonder this place is one of the top places to get a hot drink in Belfast.

This quirky cafe provides great hot drinks and amazing cakes , but the main attribute is that this place relies totally on donations from its customers. Nothing is priced, you pay what you see fit. Wanted to find somewhere to sit the mother in-law down and that could accommodate the Dog, this place ticked both boxes. Basic tea and coffee and a range of cakes - and this is charged on a donation basis. You can pay donations either via cash, or debit/credit card or even PayPal. The decor was interesting and somewhat cosy, and the atmosphere very “chill” All in all an interesting concept - I don’t think Costa or Starbucks need worry any time soon but this place is a different proposition and I applaud what there trying to achieve!

We were greeted by an elderly gentleman who told us about the special cause of the cafe. The cafe is unique in that they don’t charge you for drinks or food, but encourage you to make whatever donation you can. We had some hot drinks and 2 delicious scones. We both made a generous donation because of the lovely staff and the great atmosphere. The filtered coffee was beautiful and they even had a good choice of non- diary milks! It’s so nice to know that our money is going to help others. Would strongly recommend a visit.

What a place! The choice of teas, my favourite drink. The cakes and scones are tasty. There are several varieties to choose from. After you've finished you're asked to make a donation (you can add gift aid too). They are a charity who feed the community on the donations of those who can pay. If you're passing then look in and enjoy. I recommend giving them a try and supporting their efforts. The staff are mostly volunteers and are really friendly and welcoming.

We called in here on passing, not knowing anything about the place, or how it was run. A helpful volunteer, Albert, soon told us all about it - a community run cafe and space, everything donated, with no prices, just a donation box to pay what you feel is right. We had coffee and tray bakes (both of which were surprisingly good) and a wander round looking at the artwork. Just a fabulous idea and a warm and welcoming place. I left with a big smile on my face.

This is a well located community cafe and space. There's a gallery and information on the local area. The coffee / drinks and scones are "free" and a donation is simply asked for, which is an interesting touch. The staff were warm, friendly and helpful, lots of local knowledge. Well worth dropping in if visiting the nearby Titanic Experience. Walking distance from Belfast central.

Perfecto. Nunca he probado una mejor sopa de pescado. . .

Lovely, well presented, independent outlet. At 1:30pm, I had the breakfast (big stack of sausages, bacon, eggs, tomato between 2 huge slices of soda bread) and wife had omelletes (multiple layers and lots of toast). Absolutely fab. And 2 nice coffees to wash it down, but let's not forget the delicious scones too. Great value food and drinks with very friendly staff and fellow customers. Money well spent that supports real people, not big corporations.
