Went for a late breakfast, food was lovely and service was quick and polite.

Dog friendly breakfast stop , just what I needed! ( I brought my own bone to keep Ruby quiet)

Lovely clean establishment . Nice cosy atmosphere staff very friendly and the food is amazing not too mention the coffee was delicious all In all really nice place for food drink and they also do alcoholic beverages . Will defiantly be calling again .

We had peppered steak, goat curry, jerk chicken rice & peas with steamed veg, succulent meat, tasty food all arrived hot and on time with a gorgeous gravy. Will order again thank you

Avoid this place at all costs. I also wouldn’t believe what you see on Facebook as she will remove and block anyone that appears to question her or post of their negative experiences on her Facebook page. I paid a deposit for myself and my friend on the 10th of September for an event posted by the village bistro on the 9th of September advertised as taking place on the 28th of November. Turned up on the stated date to the shutters down and an unopened building. I messaged Cheryl via the village bistros business page asking if I’d missed something as the place was shut when myself and my friend arrived for the event to be told there was a mistake with the date that she posted. Cheryl was in my opinion argumentative when I requested my deposit back and said there was an “update” which she is referring to her making a post on Facebook on the 5th of November saying there are tickets still available for the 30th. (This is the first post in reference to this). Although she posted on 3 separate occasions for the one I paid a deposit for and this was the only date posted when my deposit was paid. At no point has Cheryl attempted to contact me to tell me there was a mistake even though she had taken a deposit from me for 2 people. She also didn’t seem to care that my friend had paid someone to watch her children, I had booked time off and also paid for taxis to be at this night. She said she would return my deposit to me via messenger and after this I had no communication from her and she ignored any messages from myself requesting confirmation that my money had been sent back to me. I then commented on one of the posts on the business page politely asking her to contact me as she seemed to be ignoring me since confirming she would refund me. To which she personally messaged me referring to me as “Sharon’s friend” (no idea who this is) I then told her I wasn’t to then be blocked. She had ignored me once she told me she would refund me up until the point of me publicly posting on the Facebook page. I turned up at the Bistro on the day of her blocking me in person asking for my deposit to be sent as she had already ignored me for a week via messenger and asked her why she had blocked me to be told she hasn’t. I’ve had confirmation that she did in-fact block me by an admin of the page. She told me in person she would send the money to me that day and lo and behold I still do not have my money back. I contacted the previous owner to query if they had any links to this place to be told they don’t but they would contact her as she owes me a refund and she was fobbing me off. She was contacted by this person also and still did not refund or unblock me even though she stated to them that she would. I went via my bank to get the money back providing screenshots and they informed me they had tried to collect the money but there were no funds in the account for my money to be retrieved. Since the above has happened she has obviously had multiple negative reviews by other people as she tried to do damage control on a Facebook post. This woman is not fit to run a business. She’s unprofessional and a liar. To pick up a business from a place that ran so well (the dining room) and have those customers and make such a mess of it just speaks for itself. Don’t bother with this shoddy place ran by a rude and unreliable woman. It’s really not worth the hassle it will cause you.

This place needs shutting down I order the village breakfast instead of holindase sauce they smothered it in mustard and was inedible I rang the shop and the lady said that she would send a replacement, a hour went by so rang back to be told the driver never turned up so offered me a full refund I've been chasing them for over 36 hour's and getting palmed off with excuses avoid this place save your money shambles

New owners *. Excellent customer service, door is wide enough for an electric wheelchair . New menu, Jamaican and English food still serve vegetarian.

Fantastic place for dogs they couldn't do enough for our puppy 😀 and us. We had our breakfast and a cake using their great summer deals. The staff was very polite and welcoming we will definitely be back.

Amazing place for breakfast, great customer service and really reasonable prices. Would 100% recommend. The village breakfast was beautiful we have been here a few times and each time has been an absolute pleasure lovely food and great atmosphere.

The food is nice and the decor is lovely but if I was running this place every member of staff would be replaced with professional and competent workers. The service really lets the place down when it has great potential. The manager of this place should do a mystery diner and get a detailed report of all the short comings surrounding the service.

We've always had good great food here - tasty, hot and well presented. The service was especially good today. Sometimes it's shut for private functions so best to maybe call ahead if you're going to travel.

Only a Tiny place but ideal for a little get together. The Staff were great and the food we had was lovely. Would defo go again, for a sit down meal next as we were at a 40th.

It is a lovely place the food is delicious but the service was a little bit sketchy she was on her phone and took her ages to give us the menus this was only one occasion so I do recommend and other than that it is great 👍

We were really excited to have found this little breakfast place, however the lady with red hair was so rude and didn’t acknowledge us at all. She carried on talking to a couple. There were us and one other couple in there. Suffice to say we left and won’t be returning

Shared a wonderful lunch with a friend today at this restaurant. The food was prompt and well-prepared. It tasted lovely. The staff were excellent especially the lady who served us. Will come again!

Fantastic place for breakfast. We found the Dining Room on Google maps as we were looking for a local place to eat. We weren't disappointed, the food was so tasty and fresh. The staff were friendly and we will definitely be back.

We (party of 3) popped in for a light snack at around lunch time and two of us enjoyed nachos and a cheesecake cake to share and the other had the home made carrot and coriander home made soup...compliments to the chef on that one, It was lovely! Staff are always friendly here. Highly reccomend.

Hosted my daughters 19th here last night and what an amazing night she had! Natalie and Tim worked tirelessly to make sure we were well looked after, the food, service and atmosphere was amazing! If your looking for a small intimate venue to host a gathering then this is perfect! Will definitely be coming back to have a bite to eat here. Thank you both for looking after us all xx

I've been here a few times and each time has gotten worse. The menu is extremely small and was missing items, as was the cocktail list. The food was awful and its a real shame.

A lovely, friendly cafe with good food and drinks. The only thing missing is a baby high chair. We have visited twice now with my baby granddaughter and have no where to sit her. Please could you invest in one.

Very disappointed to have booked through open table a month ago to turn up with friends for our night out to be told that there was a private function on! An apology from a member of staff who said we don’t use open table now to take bookings ! Maybe you need to let open table know this to avoid future disappointments !!

Was met by a nice bloke who made us feel welcome , that was nice . The other man in the restaurant seemed sound as well . The lady alittle grumpy but it was 9pm and it seemed like she was cooking so maybe stressed . Thats cool I get that .. the food was absolutely awful . The “spicy wings” weren’t spicy at all . Lumps of fat that weren’t hot . The prawns again tasted uncooked . The cream chicken was dire . The chorizo were like little rubber bullets . Bree bites again Luke warm . Meatballs were nice we enjoyed them . Would I go again . Not for free . Do I wish them luck . Of course . May I also just add Firstly I’ve got a small business myself (barber shop) so this isn’t a competition restaurant leaving a fake review . Secondly the reason I didn’t say anything last night is that i didn’t want to make my wife uncomfortable. Please don’t contact me trying to “sort it” you’ve got my money keep it just take more time cooking the food let’s have it right it was all in front of us 10 mins after we sat down it was well rushed

We had an excellent brunch here.We all had pancakes (4), lovely tasty bacon, cut into strips with a jug of maple syrup, absolutely delicious. Coffee n tea also. Very reasonable. Diner is very smart and clean with brilliant staff. Would definitely recommend.

My youngest daughter has been to the Dining room on several occasions with a couple of friends, she said how good it was, so she took me to celebrate my birthday and a surprise was waiting, my eldest daughter. Food drinks and service with a smile were highly recommended , chairs are soo comfy, a must for me, I booked 3 tickets to a psychic night on next week, there is alsorts of entertainment to book for, give it go, you won't be disappointed

Delicious food, friendly service and good prices. Well worth a visit, we had takeout but would happily have stayed in. If you're taking out, you can phone ahead with your order (I've attached the menu in this review). The food was well wrapped and had greaseproof paper around it, which was a thoughtful touch. Inside was well presented, had comfortable chairs, nice modern decor and fast service. The food on display looked tasty too! It was a little warm inside for me, but didn't stay long enough to see if it was a problem, I'm sure it would be fine for others. There's not really much parking around so you might have to find a side street. Looks like a pretty new place so not many other reviews, so be sure to review if you visit to help spread the word. Excellent service and quality of food

What a fabulous little place .... we went during lockdown for take out sandwiches & coffee and this week we returned to have coffee & cake ..... the scones are to die for , warm with plenty of fruit, clotted cream & strawberry jam. Lovely service & very friendly ..... lunch menu looks amazing to, will definitely be going back ....xx

Absolutely lovely atmosphere! Beautiful food, we had the vegan wrap, highly recommend! So many drinks yo choose from, I tried the Bolton Parma Vilot & Bakewell Tart Gin... both so tasty! The staff were all so friendly and our server "Claire" went out of her way to make us feel extra welcome. Can't wait to try some more food and flavoured gins. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Been here twice for the cakes as its only down the road from me, both times they were spot on my little lad and other half can't believe how big the cookies are, will be trying cocktails soon and maybe afternoon tea would recommend to other people in the area and family members
