The Devils Advocate - Micro Bar Middlesbrough in Middlesbrough

We had an evening in Middlesbrough and came upon this pub by chance just when the France vs Ireland rugby game started. The barmaid was super friendly and told us that it was 2 for the price of 1 with the Guinness during the rugby match! What more did we need? ;) It was full of locals too who had zero interest in the rugby but that's okay - it was still a nice atmosphere. Recommended.

I've only been here a few times but what an amazing bar. Saff and customers are really friendly and welcoming. Great music , amazing drinks , delicious food and an amazing atmosphere. I definitely recommend this place 👌

Intimate micro pub with a good range of premium keg and cask beer. Friendly atmosphere and often busy.

This is a microbar and was one of the first in Middlesbrough to open although there were a few teething troubles it was eventually sorted out. The range of beers and spirits is eclectic although some can be pricey. The bar offers free snacks which are often brought to the table without the need to request. A new idea is a rickshaw which ferries people between bars at no charge and is very popular.
