Excellent quick service, coffee ☕️ Milkshake and pancakes 🥞 I know how hard the owner works to ensure an efficient and quick service however as everything is cooked and made fresh people may need to be patient. Really enjoy our stay

Me and the gang had a great time here Great place for a lovely chicken caesar salad with a side of duck feet after we had a pancake to celebrate all the years together we also had a cheeky cocktail don't tell the the kids 😂

Came here with my pals and had a lovely time. I had the chicken and dumpling and it was fan didly tastic! I definitely recommend going here and pop in for a cuppa.

It’s dog friendly and next to the Kirkwall cathedral. They did nice cheese toasties and their shortbread was delicious with an oat milk flat white. We did not get to try the amazing looking desserts, pancakes, waffles and ice-cream.

Popped in on two occasions for a drink & snack. Service can be slow which seems odd as they have plenty of staff. Chap with ‘I’m the husband’ hoodie on was very friendly and attentive, shame the lady with the ‘im the boss’ hoodie on doesn’t follow his example. Food is great & well priced.

This is a cafe that largely focuses on their ice cream sales (at least when we were there). That said, a lot of shops in Kirkwall all offer ice cream from the same Orkney supplier (which is very nice), so there's no special reason to come here other than it occupying a prime position. Service was appallingly slow with the young girls serving seeming largely indifferent to their customers queuing out of the door. Just be prepared to wait - or go to one of a number of other places.

The ice cream is so good! We had the mint choc chip, which is full of real choc chips, and Strawberry. Really generous portions. There was much more on the menu available but we just wanted a simple cone/tub.

Sitting here and seeing dirty tables, dirty menus and filthy aprons. Second visit in a week and service is still abysmal - 45 mins for pancakes? Also they got order wrong - things missing and nuts added to a dessert 'by accident'. People waiting to sit and tables still piled with dirty plates. Plates plonked fown without a word and cones handed over without napkins- eww. Young staff with no urgency - badly needing managed. The place smells of old oil too- not pleasant! Customers moving dirty plates to sit down!! Heard it was rubbish but gave it two chances as it's a nice idea. Won't be back and can't recommend.

My friend and I popped in for an ice cream cone each. Waited a while to be served , then they got our order wrong. Asked us what drinks we wanted for ice cream floats. A while later, they were making up our order of ice cream cones. But, they were putting both flavours on both cones. We wanted separate flavours. The girl making up the cones dropped the ice cream on the worktop , looked around to see if anyone looking, then put the ice cream back on the cone. Well , we walked out, even though we’d paid. All the staff were under 16. No adult to guide them. I am a local orcadian but would not recommend the daily scoop and will not be back. ! What a waste of time and money. My friend was on his lunch break and was also most disappointed with his first visit.

What a fantastic place. It was soo busy. Brilliant icecream and coffee. Awesome staff. Well organised and friendly . Prices - good value for your money. Will definitely be going back again and again and again.

This is an excellent ice cream, coffee, and cafe on the main Street of Kirkwall. The service was friendly and efficient, and there was ample indoor and outdoor seating. My wife and I had various flavors of their gelato, which were delicious and not expensive. It was a great stop on our walking tour of Kirkwall.

Friendly sassy waitress, excellent choice of snacks and hot and cold drink. Ideally situated for a break. Highly recommended .

We’re regulars! Popped in for coffee today and I just have to say I was so impressed by this young bunch of staff. Absolutely on the ball. Polite, friendly and super efficient, attentive to detail and keeping the place clean and tidy as they go. Worth noting also that it was busy as there was a cruise liner in. As always great choice of cakes, drinks, ice cream etc Five stars plus!!

Called in for coffee and a wee treat after an extended wander around Kirkwall. Each ordered cappuccinos and ice-cream (chocolate cookie dough and biscoff) with half a shared chocolate slice .. was truly delicious! Friendly staff, generous portions, reasonable prices .. hope to return before we leave Orkney

We were very pleased with the food and service. Very friendly staff. Always there to please. Might be slightly slow when busy. But definitely worth the wait. The homemade soup was so tasty being greedy I had 2 helpings. Ice cream so many flavours. Next time your in kirkwall you must try the scoop don't just take my word for it. Try it for yourself

Most disorganised cafe ever been to. Got order wrong. Service very slow all got food at different times one of us got nothing. .no appology at all reluctantly gave money back. Need to sort out staff and management. Few people left due to no service....

Just go! Right in the centre of Kirkwall, this is a real find. Lots of homemade scones, cakes and snacks, lovely coffee and kind staff. The locals come here - always a good sign of the right place!
