Amazing filter coffee although perhaps slightly weaker than I expected. The pastries though are top notch no improvement needed there.

Full of Masonic symbols, pyramids and the all-seeing eye, and yet despite the tiles at the counter saying “wake up, you are not free” it was card only, no cash accepted. I didn’t want to embarrass my friend by walking out, so she used her card to pay. The actual coffee itself was mediocre

Super lottle place for a coffee and a cake ( no hot food). The cakes and afancy slices look amazing but i just went for a scone and a latte. Both were great! Hot tasty coffee and a nice fluffy light scone with butter + jam. A fine way to start the morning :)

Had a solid V60 brew to go from here. Friendly staff and great beans from Artisan Roast. Didn't try the food or sit in as there were no free tables but it was a great space. It's dog friendly too, if that's important to you. Highly recommend!

Next time don’t take my coffee away while I’m in the toilet please!

First time here and sadly was not very impressed overall. Coffee and cake - very good. However, it was a very stormy day and it was rather cold inside. Possibly not helped by the fact there was only one table left which was the one nearest the front door. When we arrived, all the comfy, booth seats were taken up by students who had obviously bought a coffee on arrival but proceeded to stay the whole afternoon studying on their laptops and purchased nothing further. At one point, there was one student taking up a booth that seated four. Whilst I’m all for supporting student education, I think it a little unfair to other customers that all the best seats were taken up for the whole afternoon for studying purposes. We stayed around 1.5 hours and purchased two coffees each and cake. We would have stayed longer but at 4pm we were asked to leave because the cafe was closing early. We were given no prior warning the cafe was closing and therefore I had to leave half my cup of coffee. I think a little warning would have been the correct approach so we could finish our coffees. Sadly based on this experience, I would not return.

Arrived early afternoon and was optimistic, first visit. Liked the overall decor, style of the premises. Coffee, no complaints, but on-going ambience reduced due to the lack of heat. Seemed a bit ridiculous that all the best i.e warmer more comfortable seating areas were all occupied by students. All for education, was a student myself at one time, as was my friend - but they were neither purchasing coffee, tea or cakes ! Ok, perhaps they had initially purchased a beverage, but were now opting for free water from a water dispenser, or had even taken their own water or smoothies ! It irked my friend and I, having made the effort to venture out on such a horrid day to give this local business support. A log burner was in situ, but sadly mirrored the lack of warmth in the place. I think from a business viewpoint and to be fair to other customers, the warmer, more comfortable booths, should be free'd up more frequently to allow others to use them. Almost 2 hours there, no cheery, welcoming fire radiating warmth, students hogging better seating..... It's a first and last visit for me sadly.

I usually pop past on my Friday day off when I can. Absolutely wonderful coffee and cakes on offer! The atmosphere is always cosy and inviting, the staff always make good chat and are welcoming! I also love the Instagram and feel that whoever posts it is doing an amazing job 👏🏼 it's always creative and fun!

this place holds, without a doubt, Aberdeen's best quality coffee! Occasionally it can be very loud due to busy times (understandable) or music being played (a bit irksome when there aren't many people there at all)

A lovely little coffee shop. The attraction is that it is dog friendly. We have made it a stop in our weekend walks now. Staff are always welcoming and it is never too busy first Jin in the morning.

Found this little gem when out for a walk - fab coffee & home baking (it's a "cale & coffee" place, I think - so no panini's, toasties, etc). The locals are lucky to have this place in their area!

Great little place to stop for a coffee, the staff were efficient. Though on second visit the guy on the till was most interested in talking with two cyclists. Coffee was one of the two best places I found in Aberdeen. Let down by the food options. This really is only a cake and coffee place, which in the morning is not ideal. I would suggest a couple of savoury options might go down a treat here as well.

Lovely spot to visit on a hot summer day or to shelter from the rain. Wonderful coffee and a wide selection of cakes and other baked treats. Warm and welcoming staff. I had a very generously sized cinnamon roll that paired perfectly with a delicious chai latte. Wonderful! One note is that due to the size of the venue, it can be bustling during peak times - but otherwise fantastic.

Slightly out of the city centre this coffee shop is more like a community hub. I have a few times now and never disappointed, the coffee is always hot and fresh, there is always a nice selection of cakes. The staff are all friendly and welcoming, a great find for casual coffees

A dog friendly, relaxing coffee shop

Fabulous Coffee and Cakes with great service. First time we had been here so decided to pop in on a Sunday afternoon in November. Nice warm welcome and busy but managed to get a nice table in the middle to watch the eclectic mix of folks and their lovely dogs. We're not dog owners but it was lovely to see so many happy dogs and their owners. The coffee was perfectly constructed and the cakes were devine...... so moist and packed with flavour. The place is impeccably cleaned and well looked after by the young well trained team

Cake was excellent. Coffee not so much. Definitely had better coffee in other places. Have excellent environment and has the potential to be an amazing cafe.

I tried their Victoria sponge cake the other day and it gave me a wave of nostalgia. It brought back memories of 1970s fairy cakes - I mean that in a very good way. I literally felt like I hadn't eaten cake like that for 50 years! Amazing.

Nice cup of chocolate and cinnamon swirl and the 2 people serving played peekaboo with my six month old daughter which she loved 😃. Really child friendly 🙂🍼🚼

They seem to have all the pieces of the formula to make an ideal café - great coffee, friendly staff, cosy and stylish atmosphere and homemade food. They were also very dog friendly!

Mega gutes Café mit exzellent zubereiteten Kaffees und angenehm modernem und offenen Ambiente. Neben Kaffee kann man hier gut aussehende (ich hatte keine) Kuchen und anderes Gebäck erwerben. Das Personal war herzlich und sehr freundlich. Das Publikum war relativ jung und bunt. Hier kann man auch mal mit dem Laptop arbeiten oder ein Buch lesen. Sehr gerne wieder!

Came here Saturday afternoon. The coffee was delicious. £3.55 was fair value. Service was good. Dog friendly too. Will definitely come back again soon.

It’s a really great place, the coffee is excellent and the vibe is cozy and welcoming. I would love a choice of cakes that isn’t all vegan or gluten-free, because cake with gluten and eggs and butter are the best ones 🙂

A simple but spot hitting cafe. Generous portions of cake and carefully made delicious beverages in a quirky stylish surround makes Cult of Coffee unique. Be mindful it’s hot drinks and cake only. If you want food that won’t contribute to type 2 diabetes, head to Richmond Deli. Lovely staff, Pram friendly, Vegan friendly (no coconut milk but use other).

Fab local coffee stop, handy for those passing to drop by, or a wee gem for locals - always friendly service & great coffee!

They only want people in cars to attend, they are campaigning for busy traffic, roads and extra parking outside their shop, which seems a bit odd as most folk dropping by like myself are on foot, but good luck with their car customers, perhaps they should turn it into a drive-through.

I come here regularly. The coffee is always first class. Easily the best coffee in Aberdeen city centre. Much better supporting an independent local business instead of the multi-national coffee chains. The staff are excellent and the service is perfect. The prices are very reasonable. The sweet treats are always delicious. There is a small outside seating area. Overall 10/10 cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Lovely coffee, out of this world cakes! Also sells beans and a great takeaway cup. Staff are friendly, passionate and knowledgeable. Clearly have good procedures and cleaning in place. Worth bearing in mind that they don't do any other food, just cakes

I just got asked to leave the cafe by the staff for having placed only two separate orders within two hours of sitting at a table there. This was less than one hour before the cafe's closing time! Besides, you could do a better job at cleaning up the tables for the next customers guys...

Went there for the first time today. I understand this place may be a bit pricy but it feels so great to support local shops. The staff was so so nice and they genuinely love dogs - I saw them even apologising to dogs when disturbed 😭. Had a great time there!

I believe The Cult of Coffee to be the best coffee shop in Aberdeen - especially for filter coffee. They have an ever changing selection of guest roasts. I think this is great as too many shops sell the same beans all year round which isn’t particularly sustainable in coffee growing/ production terms, plus it’s a bit boring! The Cult of Coffee offer two different filter coffees to have sit in or takeaway, you can also purchase bags of coffee beans from their wide guest selection. If you need them ground then they are happy to do so. They have specialty filter coffee equipment, paper filters and books for sale too! The staff are always so friendly and helpful offering advice on what to choose or even just having a blether about coffee and planned events - I can’t wait for future coffee cuppings! Lots of different home bakes to choose from, I particularly enjoy the brownies.

A cosy small cafe with a nice local community vibe. Everytime I'm here, the staff are friendly and talk you through options on the menu if you want! It is always pretty busy which speaks for itself. The coffees, hot chocolates and bakes are amazing both to sit in or take away!
