We ordered 2 kebab wraps with salad and sauces inside, we're amazing. The garlic bread was so cheesy and fluffy. Great food. We had a large chips portion, and was big, all the food was massive for the regular choice.

Went for cod and chips. Told 10 to 15 mins ....almost 25 mins later ....then I was sold haddock instead of cod . Total rip off

Order from here regularly. Foods always spot on and the staff are nice. Only niggle is last order they put chilli sauce in, instead of garlic and the pizza was just warm. Other than that its alright

Best takeaway for miles around. Fish and chips are the best in town. The first time we got large but there was far too much. So now we get small and we still cant eat all the chips. They taste great and so do the fish. Also, while you're waiting, I noticed the whole place is is amazingly clean.

have ordered numerous times from here from a kebab wrap to a spam fritter in a bread un and gave never ever had a complaint. when ordering they always say btween 45minutes to an hour but gave never had to wait that long and it is always piping hot. Can honestly say I think this is the best take away in the town for value and quality

Fantastic takeaway probably one of the best in Spennymoor. The portions are huge and the chicken kebab wrap is delicious. We order at least 2 times a month.

Ordered a takeaway as friends and between two of us we shared the naan tandoori chicken wrap with chips and garlic. For just under £6 it went a long way between two of us and tasted delicious. The chips were chip shop style chips as well. Definitely recommend and I would return in the near future.

This is currently the best place to buy fish & chips in Spennymoor. The fish are very large and there is plenty of nice white fish in the batter. My family always go here. I had the mini fish deal (it was still a large piece of fish with ample chips). It came with a sauce (curry, gravy or mushy peas) and a can of pop and was good value. Would recommend.

Me and my partner always order from here every week without fail and we order the same food all the time but the past couple of times when we have ordered from the crown we always end up having a really bad belly the next day and can’t keep of the toilet, not sure if it’s the meat from the pizzas or the sauces shame we won’t be offing anymore as we loved the place.

Ordered a regular tandoori chicken wrap with garlic sauce, salad and a portion of chips between two of us... what turned up was the size of a living room carpet, packed to the brim with beautiful, tender chicken, crisp salad and proper chip shop chips. IT WAS MASSIVE!!! Proper good value for money and tasty as owt! I dread to think what size the large wrap was! I will DEFINITELY be ordering from here again! I wish I’d thought to take a photo before I devoured it.Thumbs up Crown!

Excellent take away food. Never had a bad meal absolutely spot on every-time wether delivered or collected. Very clean take away , can see food preparation area from customer side. Highly recommend when anyone asks.

Following recommendations, Purchased a special kebab from The Crown Takeaway. I observed the chef take the chicken from what looked like an old ice cream plastic container, the chicken looked partially cooked. The chicken was then heated in a microwave. The actual dona kebab meat was virtually white in colour and had no taste. I only ate about 5% of the food before throwing it in the bin. I will definitely not be returning!

Always get great food from here. Would definitely recommend it, especially the chicken wrap :-) Staff friendly n quick service

The fish and chips are well worth the money if your not a big eater i would share with someone as its a big portion. Kebab meat is the best in town... and the chicken wraps are big and really packed full my son and daughter share one. Plus the staff are really nice and polite definitely the best in town xx

Normally like Crown takeaway however on this occasion everything tasted like perfume and the chips were hard and undercooked.

First time I have tried this takeaway and won't be using it again. Food was late and totally tasteless, absolutely no flavour apart from dough from the pizza, had to put loads of salt on it to make it taste of anything..

Bit let down over hour and half late

First time we've ever been disappointed. Arrived quickly but not even warm and the portion of cheesy chips we ordered was less than half the usual size and barely any cheese. Everything was warmed up then binned as tasted awful. Benefit of the doubt occasion I think.

Gorgeous food and plenty of it! - as always from The Crown. Great value. Even do that little bit extra by putting tin foil around the cartons to keep the food warm....it's the little things.....

Food took nearly an hour and a half to come, tried to contact to see how long it was going to be phone was engaged and then just rang and rang with no answer! When food came kebab was cold and when I rang to complain again no one answered! I usually love this takeaway but lately I haven't been impressed at all!

Ordered food to be delivered at 8:10. Restaurant added another 25 mins on. Food didn't actually arrive till after 9pm. Couldn't contact them either.

Will never be let down by the crown. Their kebab meat is never greasy, delivery service is good, but be prepared to wait at busy times, it's worth it!!
