Sorrento Pizza in County Durham

The first time ordering from here. The food was fresh & delicious. The delivery was fast & the driver was friendly. All round, a great experience & we wouldn't hesitate to order again.

Garlic sauce was all over because lid wasn't on right. Pizza hadn't been cut properly. Ordered food at 17:40 for delivery at 19:15. Didn't arrive till nearly 20:00

Seen as no one has got back to me I am reviewing an old order so they may see it. last time ordered the kebab was swimming in grease completely inedible pitta soaked through, images taken and passed on through website but yet no one got back to me. The last 3 times ordering have been the same which is a shame as used to really enjoy ordering from here. can't fault time or delivery but will not order again.

I am abit disappointed as I always ask for meats to be separate from pitta breads and no one listens they come inside pitta bread. This had happened the last few times. We are weekly customers and have been since shop opened. Come on Ali get them told !! 72 Bellerby you know who we are !!!!

Gutted. My pizza was freezing cold! Fiancés was hot too.

Great food and quick delivery! We ordered a large pizza and we got 2 small instead which I'm guessing is because they've run out of large bases. But this wasn't a problem, probably more pizza and very tasty! Chips were fresh and hot and garlic sauce was lovely!

Excellent mixed kebab. Hot and early. I’d prefer the pittas wrapped separately as they always arrive mushy on the meat.

We have used Sorrentos for 23 years everyweek!! The pizzas are just the best ever.

Only part of order delivered then when I rang they said 45 mins wasn't happy but guy turned up while I was on the phone I will not use delivery again I will pick up myself it will save a £4 delivery charge but it means will get all of my order at same time if I ever go there again

One of the best kebabs I’ve had in years, fresh meat, fresh crisp salad and wow the chilli sauce was the right amount of flavour and heat combined. 10/10 highly recommended spot.

This used to be a real gem of a place … what happened?? I ordered a deep pan chicken pizza that was really overcooked, had barely any chicken on it and was really peppery and dry. The cheesy chips were nuclear hot and dry/overcooked, as if they’d been cooked and then microwaved. I’ll not be back.

Arrived quite quickly. Not sure what's going on with the chips lately, absolutely rotten.

It was ok. The kebab meat had gristle in. I also prefer the kebab in the pitta bread, not separate.

Normally always order from here and it’s so nice, never has any issues! Arrived tonight absolutely stone cold, very disappointing considering it’s priced a bit higher than other takeaways :(

Food was ok, garlic bread very greasy, large pizza I thought be 12” for price but definitely not. Costs way to high for what you get compared to other local ones - real shame

Mixed kebab - the meat was outstanding . So tender and juicy BUT … the pitta bread (both) were so wet it was literally slop . You couldn’t pick up the pitta as they’d literally slip into pieces so I had to bin them both . Please just keep the pittas separate

The food came like 20 mins earlier than expected & it was freezing cold and hard, hardly any chicken & had salad on top of the kebab, which I’ve never seen before. i tried to ring the pizza shop twice and both times when they answered they ended the phone because I was complaining, absolutely shocking service.

Order house special kebab which cost almost £25 and didn’t receive any chips or pittas to go with it, ridiculous won’t order from here again.

Devastating tonight as the Kiev pizza was very dry and had no tomato puree on it at all. I spend a lot of money at this place and this time it has let me down.

Been using Sorrentos for 20 years plus and have always received great food. Tonight I ordered a pizza via just eat with regular base (tomato) and then paid £1.30 for bbq sauce as an extra. Pizza arrived with a bbq base. When I called to advise the shop (hoping for nothing more than this not happen again), rather than apologising. I was told that’s just how they do them, but he admitted it was strange that they still charge the money as an extra. Previously, the bbq sauce has been put over the top so he was talking rubbish! Very disappointing response! Fobbed me right off. When you’re a loyal customer and paying £20 for a single pizza you’d expect a little respect at least!

Food was lovely as always. Ordered a large chicken kebab to share with daughter and there was no difference in the size from normal except an extra pitta! Kebab was lovely regardless. Sauces are lush!

Monday night, date night with me darlin. Chinese was closed, had to compromise with a kebab. First impressions were decent, delivery on time. Delivery bloke was a top man. Unwrapped the goods to find frozen chips, £3 for frozen chips! All is not lost though. Let’s look at the rest of the haul. Salad, lush, crunchy and tasty. Pitta bread….good, not greasy. But could do with two as it was an XL order, poor show. Chicken was ok, average at best but filled a hole at least. Garlic and chilli sauce…….again, average. Must try harder. Folk paying £3 for chips at least expect them to be “proper chips”. 5/10. Next………

I ordered ham pineapple on garlic butter base as I don’t eat tomatoes and it came with tomatoes on base so was waste of money

Have been going here for a while and always been great but has now got very expensive and food quality not as it was. Pizza was greasy and chips were undercooked. Disappointed. Won’t be returning.

BEWARE INCREASES PRICES AND SMALLER PORTIONS. The new price of £17 for a special kebab was a surprise but the portion size upon delivery was a shock Can’t believe how local takeaways can charge nearly £20 for a half portion of kebab. ! Only to be told ‘everything going up - prices of everything’ Like the general public don’t know! Never ever again….
