We recently visited The Crown and was impressed by its warm, traditional atmosphere and top-notch Guinness. I've added it to my barguide.london site too!

Quite a nice relaxed pub, a little tired but adds to the place, very local by looks of it but all friendly

I like this little pub. I never realized it was an Irish pub until l stepped in and it was like being there. Old Irish men always up for a quick chat. Cheap pints (getting rare these days!). Not pretentious at all, just what you need, screens to watch the football, a nice person to serve you a cold pint. There is a jukebox and usually people put good music on it. Oh if you like darts, there is a corner dedicated to it. As a girl, l appreciate that the toilets are spacious and most of the time clean. Especially since there is a note that men should no longer use them 😀 But bear in mind, there is only 1 cubicle for women. Which is working fine, a bit busier on big event such as St Patrick's night but manageable. A place l like to go and will continue to go to.

I went to this pub with my sister in law on St Patrick’s day the staff and everyone there was really friendly and welcoming drinks were cheap and strong and they served us really quick unlike other pubs round that area i would recommend this pub cant wait to go back. 🤍the only thing i would say to improve the pub is to play some music. 🎶

The Crown on Holloway Road is a proper locals pub, football is on the telly, there is an obligatory dead dod having a wonderful sleep under a table and everyone is engrossed in the game or conversation. Lovely stained glass windows with little bays make the place look special. Not one for the real ale enthusiasts, no cask ales. Keg beers aplenty so all is not lost. I enjoyed a pint and a packet of crisps.

Lovely old school boozer which in London makes a change from the many floorboarded gastro nightmares that are abound. Reasonably priced drinks served by friendly staff make this place a joy to visit.

On Holloway road. Old school boozer, as pubs used to be, friendly landlord, sports ( incl racing) on tv and reasonable priced beer (less than £4 for lager). Nice alternative to other pretentious arty farty pubs in the vicinity. Dont expect gastro food as its more a bag of pork scratchings place. No airs, no graces just down to earth working men and women.

this has the feel of being an ultra local pub, without being intimidating. they sem not to have any ales on tap, only lagers, and Guinness (but oh, what a fantastic pint of guiness it was!). there's also a dart board and a pool table (a little confusingly you have to ask behind the bar for the cue ball). Great venue for a drink before going to London's finest curry house (Bengal Spice).

What a modern, relaxed gastro pub. High resturant quality food in a cozy setting. Attentive staff that are personable and funny. Marco was really thoughtful, personal and took time to make the experience special on a Wednesday night. Great mid-week deal, loved the 2 course for £20 deal! Exceptional quality 🙌 if I could give you a higher rating I would!

This hidden gem is ideal for casual, nicely priced sushi and other classic Japanese staples. No frills, no extras, just high quality Japanese in a very casual setting. The pieces of nigiri were large and fresh. The teriyaki chicken was well made and tasty. Check out Aburi for a quick, delicious bite!

I recently visited this restaurant, and while some aspects were decent, there were a few key disappointments. First, there was no visible halal certification displayed, which is something many diners expect from a Turkish restaurant. The Adana kofte seemed readymade and lacked the fresh, flavorful quality you usually find in other Turkish establishments. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place for Adana kofte. Additionally, no extra complementary sauces were offered, which is something I’ve enjoyed at other Turkish restaurants. Similarly, there were no desserts or tea provided after the meal, a gesture that’s typically standard in other places. On the positive side, the food was clean and the salad was nice. However, given that the prices are on par with other Turkish restaurants, the overall quality didn’t match up. I hope the restaurant can make improvements in these areas, especially when compared to similar places.
