The Cross in Fife

My ordered was confirmed delivery between 6.45-7.05 phoned at 7.30 was told they weren't delivering as I was in Glenrothes (fair enough) but why accept the order and tell me it was on its way ? When I asked if it was getting delivered I was told nut and phone hung up on me customer service obviously not their strong point .

Foods always hot and never have any issues,highly recomended

munchie box food all dry like its been reheated never again the place is really went down hill

Food was cold. Chicken fried rice was disgusting and chicken noodle soup had a weird taste. Curry sauce was ok.

Order was early coming from KDY, still hot as well which was nice. Ordered a few S&P munchie boxes from places in Glenrothes but went back to ordering from The Cross when we noticed they delivered as far out as they do, as they are better than what we've tried here so far. The selection and the seasoning is superior to the various places we've tried through here thus far.

Food arrived over 20 minutes late and was stone cold to touch after waiting for almost an hour after it said driver was on the way.

Chips were cold and rubbery, rice wasn't as hot as it should be and was burnt. The delivery was also late which wasn't great either.

I was amazed at how quickly I received my food tonight! Piping hot and delicious! The mega munchie box was full, tasty and had a great selection! My guests were impressed and I would definitely order again :)

Warm and just taste amazing. Great quality 12" munchie box, perfect banana fritters. Right price, delivery on time. I found my new favourite local takeaway!

Food is cold very disappointed was looking forward to it never had this bad service from the cross before

It was last if the food was dried out, the rice was hard and dry the chicken was the same, the chips were stale and overall was not good.

Food was great piping hot and came within 20 mins

The roast crispy duck dish was cold the duck was not crispy it was soggy

The food arrived late, cold and the delivery person didn't even offer an apology. I'll not be using them again.

Waited 2 hours to get told the guys gave someone else my order but I can have what he had in the car. The restaurant was absolutely shocking manners and impossible to deal with! Definitely won't be using them again

Normally the salt and pepper Munchie box is amazing! And we always order from here! But it was cold. The chicken balls were burnt! And the ribs bone dry! The chicken satay had no sauce on them.

Food was ready to collect which i thought was great but then started to eat the food and it was not great, the sauces were tasteless literally there was no taste at all and chicken balls were nearly cremated, called to complain all I got was a yes nope and is that everything on the phone no apology or anything avoid like a rash to save you the money go elsewhere.

I order from this Chinese quite regularly. Although I stick to the same order the food is always piping hot and fresh, always arrives quickly as well. Genuinely can’t fault this restaurant, would highly recommend!

The sesame chicken toast was burnt. It was so hard. Couldn't eat it. It went right in the bin. Such a disappointment.

Hot and sour soup tonight was really nice . I forgot to add rice when I ordered my meal of sweet and sour prawns in batter The meal for one there’s a glitch was informed you need to write what main meal you want in the comments for the staff at end Driver always friendly so was guy when I phoned

Chips weren’t even edible looked liked they had been re heated, curry sauce was runnier than ever and the beef was chewier than chewing gum! Most of it went in the bin. Very disappointed.

Food was lovely but cold and their chips were soggy. Will order again but next time I will collect.

Delivery time was extended which is fair enough but delivered half an hour after the extended delivery time. Chow mein was still nice and hot but chips and chicken balls were soggy. No apology from delivery driver for being late. Usually have great service from the drivers and food is usually delivered before the delivery time which is great considering I’m in Glenrothes. Must say I am disappointed tonight with the delivery service.

A tad over board on the garlic with the salt and pepper chicken balls but apart from that all good

Order was stone cold. Would have been better walking the 2 miles n back to retrieve it and it still would have been hotter!! Never again!!

I hadn't realised that the Cross was quite a few miles away when I ordered. However..they delivered on time and in bad weather. The food was still hot and was very tasty.. Can't thank this takeaway enough.

Over 2.5 hours late Cold And unreadable 42.8 degree temp Shocking and embarrassing....hungry and dissatisfied with delivery. Call service acceptable and apologetic

Food was just warm. Onion rings were squashed to a pulp, so all soggy and stuck together.

Really good food, arrived before expected, value for money.

Awful. Almost 2 hours late, tasted more like an extremely poor Indian curry than a Chinese, cold upon arrival and bland. ‘Restaurant’ also rejected my request of a refund after 1:30 hour no show. Claimed that I would receive a ‘free item’ instead. An impressive feat considering it had apparently been out for delivery for 30 minutes by then ! If the ‘free item’ was a bag of 6 prawn crackers that tasted like they’d been lying around in the delivery driver’s glove box since the night before, then please disregard last point.

Food was tasty enough but loop warm and when I called to chase was unhelpful and deliver driver was rude and aggressive... won't be back

This is the worst experience I've had. My meal hasnt arrived even after 1 hr as at the time of typing this.. The restaurant attendance was the worst. She cut the call on me. Terrible service.

Food was disgusting and came warm at best. Poor driver said he had 15 deliveries to go at one time, so he was sorry it was late. Language barrier when phoning the restaurant and left hanging waiting on a phone call back for 15 minutes before we decided just to phone instead.

2 Hours 10 Mins to deliver fried rice & wonton soup. Won't be using again.

Waited over 2 hours for the Chinese and there was only one delivery driver on. Bit poor really.

have been waiting for 3 hours for out food to arrive and have made contact with the restaurant several times and each time he says 15 minutes. When asked about getting my money back for such poor service he replies with we are very busy only one driver and hangs up.

Love this restaurant, brilliant food every time. Have noticed smaller containers though. Still enough for two nights tho 😉.

Ordered chicken balls and rice with chicken fried rice all over cooked (reheated) chicken ball bag full of grease rice all lumpy like it was left over from a previous day won’t be back all in the bin what a waste of money and to be over a hour late too!

I am a fair distance away which is the only reason for a low delivery rating. I wish they'd just adjust it on the app instead of giving a generic time scale. Food is outstanding, staff have always been lovely on the phone and delivering. Used more than once but with the knowledge it'll take about an hour extra on top of the delivery time

After waiting OVER 2 HOURS 15 We phoned and cancelled our order. Phoned to chase up after 1hr 30 and told it was bagged up ready for the driver to collect. Called again and cancelled after 2HR 15 to cancel. Staff were pleasant and apparently couldn't get hold of the driver.

First time I’ve ordered from here and I have a mixed review Fast delivery Really friendly delivery driver Absolutely massive portions of each dish Food was the temp I would expect it to be coming from Kirkcaldy to Glenrothes No minimum £ order Fair delivery price Only down side was the chicken balls were really dry and seemed to be reheated which caused the batter to be really greasy and over cooked All in all I would order again from here

Sadly our first meals tonght we were disappointed in .my curry has more meat but it was lots grizzle The duck in the other dish was mostly fat unlike there normal lovely portion Sorry guys not impressed tonight with either meal Shame because we use this Chinese as opposed to our local (this one a other area ) Worth the wait

I ordered the four seasons and it was pretty good! Chips slightly on the overcooked side but apart from that I have no complaints! Curry and the rice was fantastic, very quick delivery as well

I've had many Chinese takeaways in Kirkcaldy and The Cross is my favourite.

My partner and I use the Cross every Fri. One of the best takeaways in the area.

Ordered from here before but tonight the Chinese chicken balls were burnt and clearly reheated as batter was burnt and chicken was tough as were the chips my daughter ate 2 and said they were disgusting.... disappointed to say the least with the quality of the food

We always order from this takeaway because it's been reliably and consistently awesome. We ordered the 10" Munchie Box this time and was just the perfect amount for two people. Food was amazing and great as always and thoroughly enjoyed. Will definitely order here in future. Thank you! 😁👍

Always top quality,piping hot and on time

Ordered special curry again lovely hot food and tasty My son had the duck thoroughly enjoyed that We both had banana fritters again plenty syrup too not dry Highly recommend, can’t fault the delivery either meal cooked and here within half hr and we are a different area !!

Most disappointed in spending £3 on what was listed as a 2l bottle of Coke (knowing Coke don't do this anymore, was expecting a 1.75l bottle) but was disappointed to receive 1.5l, advised was all they had, without either a partial refund or a can or two to make up the difference, especially waiting 90 minutes from order confirmation to receipt. The chips were perfect though and the foo yung looks good and large portion but was too late to eat so will have for lunch tomorrow. All in all, long wait to then receive not everything I paid for has left a sour taste in my mouth. There is whiskey in the house so I'll use the Coke I did receive to mix and wash said taste from my mouth.

The order was well over 45 mins later than the time said it was going to be here by. I got no updates from the takeaway it’s self I had to find out from just eat app

2.5 hours. So late we were that hungry. Food was OK ish but not great. That's us done. Never again

No spring rolls, hardly any chicken and waited 2 hours for my food. I understand it’s a Sunday and it’s busy but I’m not happy with this. I usually get great service and the foods usually amazing but not this time.

Totally amazing as usual. The pineapple, chicken n shrimp with a friend rice is fantastic. We also had the mushroom and chicken with fried rice which was equally brilliant. Thanx again plus the amount of food each dish always is too much and feeds us for too days. Keep up the great work
